In my 75 GMC long box sporting 3200 lbs on the front axle and 2200 lbs on the rear I lowed the bias- ply 36-12 to 14 front and 7 rear to obtain equal rolling diameter. Lots of foot print, just take it easy when you reach some hard pan at the bottom of a dune.

The problem is you're running X-Treme Mud Terrain type tires which are thick and really heavy.. You've got plenty of HP, just need to run a large rear paddle or all terrain aired down to 10 psi. Cool truck!

I run 35 inch bfg KM2's on my long bed crew cab... I aint never been stuck. lol And i pull everything out from 40ft mobile homes to little bitty quads lol and boggers actually work great in the sand.! they act like a damn paddle. problem is you also have to have the right gearing and power to move them just like paddles. Don't get me wrong, i love the truck! espcially of it in the snow. Would be nice to see some more snow videos. keep up the good fun! Have a good one...

like the truck. as far as your driving, for the type of tires you are running and the grade of that dune i think you did a fine job. you made it up thats all that matters to me

That's a mean looking truck. I didn't know Chevy made a crew-cab shortbed in the eighties. It's gotta be a big block.

Mud tires in sand dunes? A 4x4 in sand should be on All Terrains. Unless you have a set of paddle tires to lug up. That guy I would expect to see in an old Cadillac downtown not a mud truck in Pismo I built a Bronco long travel 4x4 on Kings this is how it should look like ua-cam.com/video/tvfO78JNcJQ/v-deo.html

okay. his tires are aired down. ive seen his truck in truck haven before. whats holding him back are his tires. those boggers are for mud not sand. so what do they do they like to do in the sand? dig not float. bfg ats are great for sand cause the tread is close together. meaning flotation not digging. so go put some boggers on your trucks and go to the dunes and youll see what i mean. thats why the trucks that usually get stuck in the dunes have mts not ats.
