I prefer paint brushes over water brushes because you have more control and precision, but I love the convenience of water brushes, especially when I don't have a water dish nearby or just feeling lazy!

Definitely paint brush over a water Brush! And you’re intro is great, love how the paintbrush adds color ;)!

I am so new to watercolor, but I definitely like watercolor brushes instead of water brushes. I feel like I have no control with a water brush. I really don't see myself wanting these paints at all. I'm messy enough. 😂 I just loved your little fawn. It wasn't messy at all. It was cute. 😉

Long time back when I was still in collage I remember had color sheets coming from China, but this is the first time I see this brand. Thank you for sharing.

I use Peerless watercolors and enjoy them. I enjoy using paint brushes with watercolors squeezed fresh from the tube and my water brushes with pan watercolors

I started out using water brushes because they were less intimidating than picking a brush from all the different ones available. As I progressed, I switched to brushes because of having more control over how much water I used. I still use water brushes on occasion especially for taking with me. No mess. Thanks for an informative video.

Brushes have my preference, I find it easier to control them than a water brush :)

I enjoy paintbrushes way more than water brushes. I feel like you have a lot more control with normal paintbrushes.

I have more water-brushes than I can count....well for that matter I can say the same re: paint brushes. My preferences is paint brushes....mainly because of quality as well as control. I plan to play more with water-brushes for lettering as I think I might find them easier for that...

I haven't tried the watercolor inks yet, but I do prefer a mixture of brights and neutrals. And I definitely prefer a brush to a waterbrush.

I prefer paint brushes over water brushes most of the time, however sometimes I just want to paint without thinking too much just to relieve stress or something, and water brushes are great for that I've noticed.

Thank you for the video. I wondered about these paints and now I see I probably wouldn't like them. I prefer paint brushes to water brushes as they give me more control.

    Hello Dana!
I prefer regular paint brushes. I find that the water brushes' bristles become kind of weird after a few uses. Unless of course the amateur me didn't use it properly.

They're absolutely fabulous Dana. I wonder though if they're worth the money. It's quite expensive for only a few sheets but I find that with watercolor paper anyway. Thoroughly enjoyed watching the video though. #emailcrew

I also prefer paint brushes over water 💧 brushes. It is much harder to control the water 💧 output on the water brushes

I Thought initially that I would love a water brush, but it turned out I couldn't stand them!! For the same reason- can't control the water.

Kim Henderson hi! I leave a reply to any winning comments and get the winners contact details. Once I have that I delete it to keep their info private and prevent random people from claiming it. I pick 2 winners each month so as long as you’re commenting on the prompts you’re always entered :). Hope that helps!

@@thewonderforest Good to know. I just hadn't seen any announcements on any of the other videos so I was wondering. I just ordered your book and will be pre ordering your up coming book. Thanks for the willingness to share your process. I would still be happy to win your book though. I have a niece just starting to watercolor that could benefit from it.

I like the vibrancy and portability of my Viviva sheets, but I also wish there was a better brown color included. Too many oranges and yellows that seem redundant. #emailcrew

I jumped on the Viviva bandwagon early last year and I’m sorry to say that I hated them. I still hate them ☹️. They just don’t work for the way I like to paint, wet washes followed by lots of glazes. Oh well. Everyone has their preferences. As for water brushes, I don’t care for them either, but I learned to paint with regular brushes and I think that maybe why.

I loved this demo. I also loved how the wild flowers turned out and the fawn because of the bright colors. Maybe with your comments, they will come out with more colors. I think I’ll try it mainly because of the compact convenience of it for travel. I love the idea. I wonder how they come together with other actual water color paints if you needed a certain color to add to the painting? Loved the intro and your video as always and your honest comments.

I definitely prefer paint brushes. When I AM forced to use a water brush, I usually have a jar of water to dip it in just like a regular brush. Or I use my hand to control the amount of water on it. It's way more annoying than a regular paint brush!

I've now bought better quality brushes, so I now prefer brushes over waterbrushes, however the convenience whilst travelling not to have worry about a water vessel.. i have wondered if it was worth buying these watercolours

I liked the idea of water brushes, it seemed convenient, but I can't use them, even for swatches I have ugly strokes.
Yes they are cheap, No they are not worth the price !

Paint brush all the way I like having more control and choosing the stiffness and shape of my brush... plus I find the water brush just doesn’t allow my colors to shine at full strength cause the water dilutes it a bit no matter what. Plien air is all I’d use a water brush for truthfully or I have some with ink in them.

I prefer paint brushes so much more! I only have one brush pen and i never use it. I'm always so scared to squirt out too much water! This book looks like so much fun! I totally agree with the neutral tone thing :)

I love all the size choices that you don’t find in water brushes. Also the water control is much better with traditional brushes - at least for me. Thanks for the pigment paper demo!
