The most fun watercolours ever??? - review of Viviva colorsheets

- I love watercolours and am always fascinated to try new supplies. I like to urban sketch so anything that is light weight and portable is certainly interesting. So when I was contacted by vivivacolors.com/ a few weeks ago, about their Color Sheets, I was keen to review and use them. This film shows what I've learnt and whether I would recommend them (spoiler - the answer is yes!). I also share a few caveats. Although I was given these, all views here are my own.
Viviva has kindly given me a discount code to share with you, so if you like what you see go to vivivacolors.com/lizchaderton (this is an affiliate link) and use the code LIZ10 to get 10% off. They do local shipping in USA, UK and Canada and express shipping worldwide.

I got this set from another UA-cam artist that sold a watercolor kit (Nerdecrafter). I haven't used it yet but now after watching your video Liz, I'm gonna get right to it once i get back home (at the dr's for the moment) You're a lovely amazing artist and your smiling face always brightens my day. Keep shinin' 😊
ooh, have fun and thank you! I want to share a bit of fun and joy through art
I really love your chanel, i'm learning a lot from you
Keep going 💪 ❤🎉
Happy to hear that!
Thanks for the review. I live in the high desert of Arizona and these would be beautiful for our scenery and landscape!
I reckon they would work!
I love the Viviva Colors! So vibrant and fun to use.
I really enjoyed them
So interesting and I love the colors! And, of course, I always love getting a glimpse inside those sketchbooks of yours!
Thank you so much! Always welcome to see my sketch books 😊
These look like lots of fun. I could imagine them being fun for abstract sort of zentagle things. They would also make great gifts. Im going to check them out now. And im glad I'm not the only one who finds having paint on my hands makes me happy 😂
ink under the finger nails means it’s been a good day!!
Very cute cards. The vibrancy and saturation reminds me of the pigment dyes of the Ecoline range
Yes, I hadn’t thought of that but they have that intensity and transparency
Nice review thank you. I recently received mine in the mail and haven't had a chance to try them yet.
I think you will love them!
I've had that same sizing failure on an Arteza. It is disappointing but it is hit and miss. I had never considered the sheets before, but the weight is sure a bonus for walking and hiking!
I hope you got the paper replaced from Arteza. I enjoyed the sheets so much, though as I said in the film they aren’t English landscape colours.
I bought these two years ago and still use them. Have not used sketch book as yet
gosh, they’ve lasted well!
Hi Liz don't know if you are aware, you can see your address in the video, might be best to edit out. Take care x
thank you
@@LizChadertonArt you’re welcome xx
@@francinegriffiths-ji2qw just worked out how to blur…. Rather proud of myself 😳
@@LizChadertonArt that's great I'm hopeless with technology x
Thanks for the review- not something that I would plan to add to my supplies
glad it’s saved you some money it that case!
Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for these? I found it was too fiddly to be flipping up and back to the colors I wanted when painting. Also it was inconvenient to flip up and back for mixing on the mixing page.
oh that’s a shame. I found there was a bit of a learning curve, but once I got the hang of them I thought they were great fun
I am not so sure I like these either. I do love the bright colors, but the dye base sure makes them a lot messier, and I did find the book a bit fiddly. My fingers always end up stained, but admittedly I’m a bit clumsy in that regard. I want to like them, and will keep working with them, but so far I prefer traditional watercolors.
@@janed.9907 fair enough! I certainly get messy but I don’t mind 😂 I have a set of their traditional watercolours to try out too, so I’ll let you know what they are like
@@LizChadertonArt I’m lookin forward to your review.
You make a good point. But what if you cut strips of each color and paste them on a small clipboard or cardstock? Have the full palette all in view.
