Hi, great video, watching this helped me decide to buy this one as my very first keyboard. I would be really interested to know what mods you suggest for a deeper thocc but maybe not too loud type of sound profile. Once again, great video, most definitely subbing after this.
Hey thanks!! You can use the foam instead of what I did. Or change the switches to deeper sounding ones.. also, take note of the wireless toggle. It is a deal breaker for some. 😀
Nice video. Nice mods. Now I'm considering getting this one. One question tho, I'm planning to use wired while gaming then bluetooth on normal mode. Do I have to flip the switch back to the middle everytime I will go on wired mode?
Thanks! No, you don't have to. You just need to change the modes. Example, FN + U to switch to wired, FN+E/R/T for bluetooth. The switch is just for the keyboard to use the built-in battery. If the keyboard is plugged in, you can also use it via bluetooth even if the switch is in the off position. I have tested this.
Got it! Now I'm fully committed to getting this board. I was hesitant at first because of the placement of the switch. Thanks for confirming. Really helps me decide. Hope to see more unboxing and modding vids. :)@@AvgSmerv
Sorry for the late reply.. You need to have rgb turned and hit fn+Spacebar. The colour indicates battery level..hope it's still useful for others looking for some answers
hi there, i have recently bought this board. did you think the LEDs we're a little dim? might just be me, I'm coming from clear MX Blues. so it might just be the fact that they are solid switches rather than clear. the board is amazing though!
Nothing too crazy on the rgb. Mine is average in terms of brightness too. I usually just keep them off. My keycaps doesn't let the rgb shine through anyway 😂
Do you think the painters tape could be an issue (fire hazard) because of the battery? Otherwise eletrical tape would be a choice? Great video and modded sound btw
Thanks! You can use electrical tape. I used it for my first few keyboards but switched to painters tape after I ran out.. Personally, I had no issues with painters tape on keyboards with batteries. Just use electrical tape if it gives you peace of mind. The sound it gives is just as good!
@@AvgSmerv just make sure the adhesive on the tape doesn't conduct electricity there are certain model numbers for 3m painters tapes that don't use rubber as the adhesive
@olsen7044 yes.. the cs piano sounds less 'plasticky' if that makes sense..and you are absolutely right about the PE foam.. this is the config that I'm using now.. hope that helps :)
Hi which tape you use it ? (Its tape for painter which use on plugs?) And can where find cotton which you use it too? I am interested but I am new in this. Thanks :)
Welcome to the custom keyboard community!Yes it's painters tape.. it's better to use electrical tape for boards with batteries. The cotton is polyfill. You can get it from amazon or arts/craft/sewing stores 🙂
Some people prefer the stock sound. I prefer the spacebar sound stock too. But overall typing, i prefer it deeper after mods..it's all individual preference 😀
Hey.. just search for 1mm silicon sheet in Amazon. For the Pe foam I just get it from packaged products I buy.. tape i usually just get it from hardware store and for the polyfill, you can find them at stores that sell knitting stuff..
You can use it for non-competitive gaming which i do. Better to use it wired for gaming. Also you can swap out the switches to silver switches for a faster response time
sad btw do you know why mine got shipped with cs piano switches on the arrow keys? didnt look at the other keys but my arrrow keys somehow got the cs pianos not the piano pros@@AvgSmerv
Like the sound for the modded, good content
Thanks!! Check out my final configuration in the description..😀

Very first keyboard? How are you even typing this?

@@alron20 I don't know how long the battery lasts but it should go to sleep mode after some time of inactivity

Have u been trying different configs? Got the same board otw in the post, and am curious as to which mods i will want to do.
Tried a few but my final config is in the description.. felt that was the one I like the most :)
Ah yes, thank you. Did you switch from piano pro v3 to CS? And then PE foam between pcb and plate foam i assume? :)@@AvgSmerv

is it's just me or stock sound lil better?

Just you.
Hey could you please provide me a link to all the mod components used? E.g. the silicone sheet please?

is it possible to turn off the red LED lamp for the battery level under the spacekey?
sorry for the late reply. I don't think you can.. it goes away after it's full charged
What is the diference to Barebones version?
Is this keyboard also suggested for gaming ? Or just normal typing ?
You can use it for non-competitive gaming which i do. Better to use it wired for gaming. Also you can swap out the switches to silver switches for a faster response time
Yes, even the 2.4G connection on this board has
im doing all your mods above except silicone sheet because im not yet buying it. is it will different than yours?
Yes slightly different. The silicon sheet is thinner so it will give the board more flex.. sounds slightly louder too
Is it worth to replace the stabs with Durocks?
Probably not. I used the provided extra stabs that has the tpu mold and it's basically perfect in my final config
I bought the same keyboard and wanna to mod it (first time for me)
Which tape could I use for the pcb?
It's safer to use electrical tape. But I've been using painters tape and no issues for 2 years on other keyboards
Hey i have a question how can u turn off the red light indicator under the spacebar?
Havnt found a way to turn it off. It's just there when it's plugged in and charging

@chickenburger2488 that is definitely weird.. it's a plus in my book. I prefer the cs pianos over the pros
yeah me tpp and on the box it says piano pros but with the cs photo and the red light indicator is gone! maybe bc it like charged or smth@@AvgSmerv
I got the hes is that good ?
Have not used it. but apparently it's good for gaming
You didnt need to take out all those keycaps and keyswitches to take the layers apart 😂
Yes. Very observant. Wanted to take the pcb apart initially for a different config but decided not to in the end
