What an incredible man. As I traveled thru Virginia I kept seeing acknowledgement of him in hotels and on local tv shows. Virginia is proud of him . He is a wonderful example of a man of God !!

I know this was two years ago, but this message is very pertinent today. I love Jimmy's music. It brings joy to my life. Thank you Jimmy for your message and faith. I accepted Jesus as my savior at the age of ten. My mom thought I was too young and didn't know what I was doing. She would not let me go to the alter at a revival meeting and I cried all the way home. I knelt at my bedside that night and asked him to accept me. He has given me personal guidance throughout my life. I am almost 83 now and so glad he loves and cares for all his children. 🥰

You're so right, Jimmy. We do have a great love for one another. You mentioned 9/11. Remember when Teheran took many Americans hostage and kept them over 400 days? It seemed that every tree, mailbox and vehicle had a yellow ribbon tied on it! And our Canadian friends found a way to stand by us, just as they did on and after 9/11. Our mutual love is always there...we just have to let it shine more often! 🌞🌱💜💕

What an incredible encouragement you have been to so many. Many times my mom and I came to see you. She was one of your greatest fans and I so wished you could have sang at her funeral, but God had you in another place. Thank you for being real and for being faithful throughout your journey. You made the journey of others just a little more bearable.

I got an audio Bible and started playing it as much as possible. Nothing has changed my life any more. Don't knock it till you've tried it. It's interesting that he started in a flea bag motel in Little Rock. It was in the Albert Pike hotel in Little Rock that I started playing an audio Bible. It has been an uphill climb but I'm going uphill. I fill my whole house with the pure Word of God. I don't have TV or radio in my house. Just the pure Word of God. The only reason I am on the Disinformation Superhighway now is to share a good idea with you.
Jimmy is blessed from God . And definitely has one of those unique voices you recognize regardless what he's singing. A very talented singer.

Ah Jimmy thank you for your testimony and I am grateful to see that God worked in your life as He works in all of our lives, but that you accepted it! I was blessed with the opportunity to hear you play and sing recently at the Station Inn with Jenee Fleenor and Johnny Meyer and Friends, (I was the crazy bald guy that just got engaged to the redhead that grabbed you to take a picture lol). Again though, thank you for your testimony, may God keep and bless you!
How powerful We all have been there
Jimmy is a class act. And ironically he is the only Statler who gives Lew Dewitt his due. Jimmy revered Lew and often spoke fondly of the friendship he had with him. After Lew's departure, the other 'brothers' seldom mentioned him and seemed to get acutely uncomfortable every time his name was mentioned. While Jimmy is probably the better singer, Lew's talent was undeniable; and if not for him (composing 'Flowers on the Wall' which was clearly their breakthrough song), there might never have been a Statler Brothers! (or at least one you'd ever have heard of). Thanks Jimmy for being an extraordinarily nice guy. You deserve your 'fortune.'
I am So Thankful for The Statler Brothers. I don't know where My life would be right now. I am facing some physical difficulties right now, but I know that I am saved and I know I will go to a better place one day. I know one day in Heaven I will be able to see Perfectly and not have any trouble walking up there. Even though The Statler Brothers have retired, I know that I can hear their Music anytime on You Tube. I will miss Harold and I know a lot of other people will too. I Hope Their Sons will be So Blessed as well. I am looking forward to hearing them more.

I am looking for song that I heard Jimmy Fortune sing a long time ago. About a letter he found in an old book.he sings the words of the letter and the returns the letter to the old book on the shelf. I have never forgotten the song and have been looking for it for years.Can anyone help me find it. I will never give up trying to find it.

I think Jimmy is a legend with a spectacular voice, but I just can't believe like he does , faith is a belief without evidence .....I need evidence, To see so much unnecessary disease and suffering in the world , and children dying before they live their life, I just can't believe.
Wildphotoshooter. You need to cry out to God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you. Ask Him to lead you. Get into God’s Word, The Bible. Not any of that paraphrased mess, and read it for yourself. Start in the New Testament in the book of John. (Matthew, Mark, Luke, then John) these are the 4 gospels. Start with John. Pray about it and let God direct you. You need knowledge of The basics first. I would like to suggest that you check out these channels, Motivating you to win, Sister Sharon. Melissa Dougherty, Spencer Smith, Marcus Rogers. @@lbrown6859 When I was younger I did read the word of God in the Old Testament and as a decent person I thought it was full of real hatefulness. That is what made me think the Bible was a disgrace , written not by a God but by men who wanted to have control by inflicting violence and pain. If that is your belief then believe what you want but it's not for me .....the whole Bible is just a man made invented stories. Genesis and Noah's story was written by men who who knew as much about the world and the universe as a chimpanzee would if it took the time to look , nothing .

We know the earth wasn't made in six days ( that is a silly naive story ) and please don"t say God's days are different to ours. If that were true divide 4.5 billion years by 6 and you can't seriously be saying that "Gods days" are about 650 million years each.

OK great testimony, but why is his third wife young enough to be his daughter or maybe even granddaughter? SMH I mean, what is with these old guys who have to marry a woman 30 or 40 years younger than them? That's messed up and kind of creepy.
