Loved this group. My parents listened to them when I was a child in the 70's. Now, I have one of their albums, yes albums. I spent many hours in my childhood in my room listening to records and the Statlers were part of my collection.

I’ve always loved the Harmony of the Statlers , still do. I’m 58 and they were my favorite since I was 10. My Grandma bought me my first Statler album. My first concert ever was them also. So I am a huge fan and always will be. ❤

My mother went to a Statler Brothers concert in 2003, on the same weekend my twins decided to make an early appearance. I remember her worry over the situation, but I didn't mind because she was able to see the Statler's. She was back in time for the birth of her youngest grands.

Don, I truly enjoyed listening to you on this video. I'm sure that others, as much as I, appreciate your candor, openness, willingness to share. Now I'm not so sure about Diet Coke and Apple! I'm Diet Pepsi and Android. But I do share one characteristic with you. I heard your clock in the previous video and contacted Debbie to find out what brand it is. I just bought one for my husband for Father's Day. It has added distinct joy to both of our lives. Thank you for not cutting it out of the video.

Don, thank you for this and your music! Thank you for changing my life in a great way. The first concert I had ever gone to when I was 13 was to see The Statler Bros and Barbara Mandrel in La Crosse, WI with my folks. Then the first guitar I ever purchased a few years later was an ovation like Lew's. I've had your albums, 8-tracks, cassettes and cds. Thank you for your candidness behind the curtin. May God bless you and your family and love listening to the boys of Wilson Fairchild!

    Good memories.

Great interview with Don, still remember when myself ,Wife and son "Chris" came to the museum (early 80,s) and eat lunch at the "Legend" and met Jimmy and also saw Don in the booth with Jimmy ! Made us welcome ! We have been to the 4th of July celebrations maybe 3 times (got rained out one night ) !
Believe we have been to 21 Music concerts all together ! You guys were the best ! Never met Lew but first time we saw Jimmy on stage was at the Indiana State fair ! I believe i met you Mother at one of the 4th of July events and she was asking if anyone had a photo of the parade, i think i gave her one !
I see the Rowes restaurant is still open with Family run ,it was very good food ! A side note about your and Harolds sons music , they even sound like you guys ! Great stuff !
P.S. Some where in the Museum ? their should be a little award given at one of the concerts recognizing the "all American Band ! I met Mouse and Boopie ? , like Jerry and Bull and ? Anyway i liked their music ! I asked them to play "I cant live long like this " but they said it was too long ! ! !
Anyway thanks for doing the interview , look for the next one ! Good luck, stay well.

Mr. Don, I love that we have so much in common, such as books and the tv shows. Perry Mason is my all time favorite, along with Columbo. I love crime/drama and ghost tours! Dick Van Dyke, I still love the reruns, along with most of the shows in that era! I am so fascinated with your wealth of knowledge and I could listen to you talk about everything! You can make a rat trap interesting! Much love and God Bless! ❤️ Hersh & Tam

I have a story to tell. Back in the 89s, I attended a July 4th show in Staunton. A cab driver, for some reason, dropped me off in front of Don's house. I didn't ask him. He offered, and I said yes. There was a small local newspaper in the big driveway. I wanted the address label for my scrapbook. Instead of just taking it, I walked to a nearby 711. I bought a copy of the same paper and switched them.
I got my souvenir and did the right thing, too!

How is the voice holding out and could he still perform in public if he chose to do so?

Just some things that popped into my little head while watching another interview earlier.
