It confuses me how it could possibly be THIS complicated... just... how? With the obvious route Sakurai took the series, and he himself even explaining he's always wanted it to be a casual experience... HOW?!
i've been abusing this for years, a lot of players will just DI, and you can hear the controller, if this is the case you can get an absurd amount of pummels, the other day in tournament i got 9, but they mashed out at the last second, I could have got 8 with a throw if I was interested in the throw, but just goes to show how far you can stretch it when your opponent is being lazy. The opponents mashing style and mashing habits are by far the most important things to keep in mind in my opinion, I always try and get as many pummels as possible before they break free, you can get a feel for it based on percent and controller sound, I find 1 pummel per 25% for my rule of thumb, but that's because most people are lazy and don't mash very hard, if your opponent mashes perfectly then the rules you've outlined in this video sound accurate from my experiences.
You can get a guaranteed pummel at 0, 37, 95, 152 (assuming opponent mashes 40 inputs/s) if he mashes 60/s, it's at 0, 43, 133, 223 etc on Marth you can mash with stick and buttons, so 40 seems humanly doable... going for the pummels i listed for 40/s always worked for me though, if i dont mess up pummeling. for anyone wanting to calculate it yourselfes, you get 75 frames at 0% (60, if ahead in stocks) and then 1.6frames per percent, lose 6 frames each opponents mash and if anyone calculated it, please share it with me
This game is so complicated lmao it's amazing
Nintendolegopspfan10 YES. It is incredible

@@SimpleFlips Endgame is the most ambitious crossover event in hi-
Very thorough video - thanks alot.
At about 3:00 you show the cstick and triggers moving for mashing. Figured id point out that c stick and tried don't count for mashing
"Except for kirby" feels bad man
Does this dude enter tournaments
Wait... did you say magus?
I did, why?
Bull. Pummel rule of thumb is 1 every 30% not 50%
+Zinger3 It varies with a lot of things. Using 50℅ makes it easy to calculate and keeps things safe. I'll go more in depth on this later though
perhaps 30% at low level
