It's crazy how understanding smash is getting to the point where someone needs to teach a class. It's so damn complicated it's awesome at all the little things that you need to know to be the best
don't stop making stuff like these. Soon u will have a large following because this is quality shit. make sure to be posting this on both reddit and smash FB groups
Yo dude great video. One thing I was wondering about the fox up throw up air, as fox, do you just hold c stick right for asdi, and then smash di right with control stick?
Correct. Check out my video on smash DI where I cover exactly how to do that. And as always, feel free to let me know if you have any questions. ua-cam.com/video/DRkrNCJX-EE/v-deo.html
Great videos, thank you. They're all done really well, I look forward to more. But I can't seem to get the 20xx codes to work on my copy. Do those codes only work in 3.02? I have 4.05 right now.
Thanks, I'm glad you like them. As for 20XX codes, the CPU codes do not work on 4.05. To practice ledge teching against a move you'll have to switch over to v3.02 unfortunately. Maybe one day ill look into the 20xx code and start contributing myself but I'm busy with other things right now so all we can do is wait for achilles to add cpu codes
I think P2 action spam only works in 20XX v3.02, and only on console, so make sure you're using that version on a wii. After that, you should just need to hold down and A to get it to work
you have to hold both A and down for like 5 seconds. If hes crouching it probably means you let go of A too soon. So if you want a forward smash youll end up walking forward a ways because your still holding the forward input + A.
If you're completely wall hugging I think ASDI is usually enough, but getting at least 1.5 SDI will pretty much guarantee you a tech if you're close to the ledge or wall hugging, so I recommend at least mashing the SDI.
Depends a lot on the expected trajectory and kb. For example, you can very rarely ASDI tech horizontal angled moves, but meteors that knock down you can always tech if you're close enough to the wall. If I'm trying to tech stomp, I'll just hold toward wall, but if I'm trying to tech Marth's tipper fsmash I go for SDI.
At 0:52, you state that diagonal to forward input would yield 2.5 SDI, but this is not true. You can only get multiple SDI by moving according to these arrows: ua-cam.com/video/ZkdPVUlrSOo/v-deo.html
Did I not respond to this? I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess the notable options are that he can back air and air dodge. But hey, you could always wall jump tech reverse double laser suicide
I'm not sure. Yoshi is one of the characters I know the least about. Air dodge on stage would be my guess for the go to option, but I'm not sure if he has other choices I'm not thinking about. I'd recommend looking at the good Yoshi players and see if you can find some examples of what they do.
+winfield Hmm.. Maybe sheiks recovery distorts her in a way that ASDI is not enough. Perhaps trying the mashing quartercircle centered around in technique, or perhaps try to time an inward input for 1.5 SDI. Let me know if you can't figure it out and I'll try to take a look at it

SunBreaker Films
F
yoooo thank you so much for the work you put! quality content!!
dude you are on a rampage, great tutorials
I had no idea you could freeze characters in a given point of a move. holy fuck.
i love your channel bro really useful stuff
I'm still a bit confused. So for Marth, is the order of events up b, then input tech with L/R, then after that SDI into the wall?
Correct
+Remix and am I holding L/R or is it just a one tap?
Hosanna Just tap it and it will buffer the ledge tech for 20 frames
This shit is craaaazy

Doing the SDI mashing part while in the air feels impossible for me right now haha
Great videos, thank you. They're all done really well, I look forward to more.

Okay, thank you for the help.
I can just use the Motion Sensor Bombs for now
what's the most optimal SDI pattern to get a walljump tech with marth?
+CoinBahd The short answer would be quarter circle DI, just rolling back and forth between the 2 diagonals towards the stage as fast as you can
when i do this the 20xx bot is just spamming crouch? how can i get to dmash

so is SDI in required or is the ASDI from holding in enough of an input for you to ledge tech in most cases?

I can't freeze marth's f smash on the frame that the hitbox is on the floor
So is it possible to wall tech without SDI?

Ah yes, thank you for pointing that out. I always manage to mess something up with these videos :(
I tried to add some annotations to correct it.
anyone know of an consistent ways to practice wall techs with sheik? or is it even relevant with sheik in the first place?
can falco do more than side b or up after tech-ing the wall ?
Did I not respond to this? I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess the notable options are that he can back air and air dodge. But hey, you could always wall jump tech reverse double laser suicide
nice
How about yoshi? I know he can tech but what options does he have?
I'm not sure. Yoshi is one of the characters I know the least about. Air dodge on stage would be my guess for the go to option, but I'm not sure if he has other choices I'm not thinking about. I'd recommend looking at the good Yoshi players and see if you can find some examples of what they do.
Can't Marth dtilt a spacie after they just wallteched a dtilt and instant side b'd into the ledge?
As in:
Marth dtilt, walltech side b, another dtilt.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think Marth can do that. Still though, instant illusion is quite useful against other moves and other characters.
thats about as common in the UK as double stick DI
LOL stfu Aiken
I think ASDI works just fine, but is less forgiving.
I miss my wife
am i bad? i'm having a hard time doing this with sheik
+winfield Hmm.. Maybe sheiks recovery distorts her in a way that ASDI is not enough. Perhaps trying the mashing quartercircle centered around in technique, or perhaps try to time an inward input for 1.5 SDI. Let me know if you can't figure it out and I'll try to take a look at it
I got it! I didn't realize that you have to time the buttons so perfectly :) thanks for the help!
Heads up the thumbnail has 'in depth' misspelled
LOL didn't notice that. Thanks for letting me know. Fixed the thumbnail as soon as UA-cam updates it.
and i’m uninstalling smash bros…..
