OMG,this was Brooksbank House, on the Morningside estate, E9, nothing change much since i visited here on my 40th lol. Good old Hackney council serving the public by changing some street sign's, i thanked my mum at the time, for moving us out of Milborne House, Mead place.
This could be pembury, morningside, kingsmead, gascoign, frampton, or any of them mash up blocks. I grew up on clapton park then jack dunning. I loved them days around there, GLC never did shit for hackney.
A Person it weren't that bad ? lol ok mate if you say so, you couldn't walk in the estates at night without getting robbed, nearly every flat was burgled and every car broken into, gangs standing in the staircases etc I know because I grew up on the estates in Hackney from the 70's onwards
Hi , this Hackney housing are USELESS !!!! I Ben trying to get on Housing listing for about 7 month 😞😒 . In all the ways that you can imagine... online , by Post . They lost all my documents ,when Someone ask me to post them, and they Ben ignoring me since!!!! Don’t really know what to do . I have 2 baby’s and my wife in one Room... (rented private ) Is a bit sad to think the future and safety of my family.... guys any advice plz ? Thanks 😊
Getting a Hackney council flat is no lottery win... My experience is damp, roaches, squalor in communal parts, no (serious) attempt to control noise & other anti social behaviour..Housing officers illegally letting & paying crony contractors for work never completed.. Trying to get internal repairs (to one's flat) is a game to them in which one is given the runaround...
I got help with getting social housing by going to see my local councillor, if you've got any medical conditions etc make sure you tell them about it cos it can go in your favour. Then just keep applying and keep ringing them, everyday if you have too. Tell them you're also going to make a complaint about them losing your documents. Good luck, I know myself how stressful it is trying to get housing

But on a side note - This was filmed 4 years after the GLC was dissolved. Hackney council should've done better
