    😅Girls, it'll be a while before I film another wash day routine. I can't believe how long this took to make! How do the curlies and coilies do it!
    🥰But, I'd like to ask: How has God changed the way you think about yourself?

      It’s a long journey. It took me 14 years. My only advice is to keep being honest about where you’re at and sitting in the pain. Your healing will come in Jesus’ Name! Because already from your profile picture, I already see how beautiful are 💜

      Sis, The Most High Yahuah (Hebrew) has also just convicted me to embrace and love my hair in its natural texture in the wash and go. As HE has also convicted me to dress modestly and not wear pants, sexy clothing, makeup and jewelry, I keep my head covered in head wraps and I wear my hair in flat twists under the wraps. I believe I will learn to wear my hair in wash and go under my head wraps. May Our Heavenly Father continue to strengthen you in His Truth about who we are!

    I'm #anthonydickeymethod wash n go fan however, I tweaked mine which includes my hair grease to lock in my style because of my climate which is extremely hot and humid 80-90% of the year.
    *I cant apply my gel in the shower because of the humidity and I have one leg that doesn't like standing for too long*

    • @CoilyCode

      Grease! Wow, I didn't know you could. I mean it's a great method but we often need to modify the general method to suit our needs best. So good for you!

    • @uberhaute_naturalz84

      @@CoilyCode It's just a pea-sized amount of grease, however, I started using Eden Bodyworks Shea Coco leave-in, I stopped greasing because it has enough oils and film-firming ingredients (Polyquaterniums) that protect against humidity alongside the new gel (Wetline- Polyacrylamide Copolymer) and these gives my hair serious definition!

    Gorgeous hair! It's super satisfying to watch your video!😍Do you always include the clay step in your hair wash routine or is it just an extra clarifying step? It reminds me a bit of a modified version of the maximum hydration method which I also do, but usually do the clay step as last step before styling. ❤

    • @CoilyCode
      @CoilyCode  Рік тому +1

      Ohhhhh interesting! I've heard of the maximum hydration method but never dug into the details. I only do a clay rinse once a month. I do find that when I'm doing wash-and-gos, the clay rinse helps to define my coils a lot more. But it's such a nice addition to pamper the curls and get them ready for styling! Thank you for your sweet comment!

    This isnt exactly the dickey method if youre layering multiple products though..its more modified. The idea is to use a light weight/minimal build up styling product so it can be used daily and rinse with cowash.
    How long does this last you before you have to shampoo?

    • @CoilyCode
      @CoilyCode  Рік тому

      About 3-4 days; I know he recommends everyday and co-washing but it looks really good after 4 days and that could be due to the gel. So I’m sure if I did it to the T, I would have to co-wash 😅.

    • @iateyursandwiches
      @iateyursandwiches 11 місяців тому +1

      @TheCoilyCode i see. Well, if you decide to do that, uou should try this with a mousse(like the doux) or cream as those type of products spread more easily through the hair for this method. Also they give more volume(esp the mouse).
      My fave creams: texture ID styling cream, shea moisture curl and style milk/ curl enhancing smoothie, camille rose coconut water style setter.

    Why the clay mask?

    • @CoilyCode
      @CoilyCode  Рік тому +1

      Great question! A benefit of clay that I’ve seen for my hair is detoxifying and conditioning. For some reason, my coils pop even more after a clay mask and that’s before applying conditioner and gel. So I like to do it once a month when I’m on a wash and go regimen.
