    I like the idea of using the clips to give the back of your hair a chance to dry.
    Your hair is so curly...I adore your curls!

    Excellent video! I have been researching this method and this is by far the most detailed. Wash-n-gos always end up ans high puffs for me, but I can't wait to one now! Easy and simple! Your results are wonderful!

    I love how this turned out! The downside for me is the prolonged soaking wet hair otherwise, I can imagine that would hold the coil/curls well!

    WOW!!!!😇 thank you, thank you for the comprehensive video on the Anthony Dickey Method, so cool and I think it's foolproof. I'm going to try this because I haven't had much success with the other wash N go techniques I've seen. Loved your tutorial on silicon mix, I will definitely invest in that product because I have found myself in that 2 week hair situation. You are so good to help others with these videos. Thank You Again.

      I need to edit and post my mid-week update but you know what I've been up to, lol. You know I am nowhere near finished with my beauty room but I'm trying to get it together. As for me though, chile, I could never, this is way to much work for me, I'm a lazy natural girl...LOL Thanks for introducing me to this though, maybe one day I'll try it, Lord give me strength.

      Thanks Emma Thomas for your support. As you know, creating videos is labor intensive. Filming a natural hair video (or any video for that matter) probably doubles or triples the normal time it takes to create a process if it's not being recorded. But I want to always show my best work even if it turns out to be a "fail", lol. Thanks again.

    Great video! I love this method. Did it last night and got under the dryer. Still cool outside but once it gets warm I let it air dry.
    I'll have to try that let's jam custard. Wonde if it could be a dupe for Muss Jessie's curly pudding. I used that the first time I did the Anthony Dickey method and loved the results. I use the Tresemne Perfectly undone conditioner, I like it better than naturals.
    I also want to try hair rules now since his method works so great.

    Great video! I haven't done this method in a long time. I found a combination of products that give me great definition without doing this method. SMCES and Super Wet Aloe Styling Gel. The SMCES gives great moisture (and some definition) & the Super Wet gives great definition & shine. I have used the gel with other leave-ins it always looks the same just the moisture level will differ because of the leave-in.
    I have stood in Wal-Mart explaining how I did my hair, funny that u mentioned that! :)

    • @thecreativelady1908
      @thecreativelady1908  9 років тому +1

      Thanks! I'll have to look for that gel. You know the store is the place to get cornered when you have natural hair. I was in Nashville on weekend and forgot to pack my Curls Passionfruit Control Paste. I went to Target's hair aisle and there were 2 ladies from Florida looking for hair products. They instantly began to drill me about my hair and how I had styled it. We stood there for a long time talking until my husband came and found me. He knows where I hang out, lol.

    • @HappyKeepinItNappy
      @HappyKeepinItNappy 9 років тому

      NappyliciousTV LOL, my Honey and my son know my store hangout as well!
      Yes, the Super Wet Aloe Styling Gel (not the one with black on the label) is good stuff, but it is hard to find. I have been wanting to try it monthssss. I even had curlfriends across the states trying to hunt down some. Finally my Wal-Mart got it back in after 2 years...yes 2 years (back then I wasn't thinking about trying it). They got it in and put it straight to the clearance shelf in the Latino section for $2 for 1kg tub!!! I tried and LOVED IT! I went back to get another one and all but 3 were left. I thought about scooping them all, but it will take me forever to get through these two. Before this gel I was briefly stuck on KCCC. Before that I was stuck on Wetline Xtreme...boy you couldn't tell me NOTHING about my Wetline...shoo now it's on the back burner, LOL! Thank God that was cheap as well because I also have two big containers of that left. I thought nothing would top "my baby"....wrong! Hahaha

    I have a question so if you have to saturate your hair with gel and with the conditioner isn’t that a waste of hair gel and conditioner so that means one will be buying gel and conditioner a lot it can get expensive?I tried the wash and go and I absolutely love it!! but my concern is just it’s going to get expensive buying conditioner and gel especially when you have to do it every couple of days so what I have done is I when I do my wash in go I wear it for about 2 to 3 days then I rinse my hair put it in a bun and wear it for another two weeks where I’m not manipulating my hair my hair seems to like it that way but I would like to wear the wash in go more often it’s just that the products are going to get expensive

    • @thecreativelady1908
      @thecreativelady1908  5 років тому +4

      I’ve discovered that WATER saturation is actually more important than the amount of conditioner or gel. For me, it’s more about finding the right balance between the water & gel to properly saturate my hair to “encapsulate” the curl pattern. The amount of gel is determined by the density of my hair. Either way, it’s all a matter of preference. I can’t tell you the last time I EVER ran out of gel. The Anthony Dickey Method Wash n Go works for my lifestyle. Whatever works for you, go with that. Thanks for your comment.
