      Jonna Martinez At this point I've made 6 hats and they're all pretty great actually. And the best part....my 16 yr old son has asked me to teach him so he can make his own. In the end, your video has brought me more happiness than you could ever imagine. I can't thank you enough!

    So on row 8 I didn't have Bobby pins or clips to use as markers for each increase, so I ended up laying it flat on a table and pulled out a hand full of change from my pocket, evenly spaced out 10 coins and just counted the spaces in-between each coin 😂

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  4 роки тому +2

      This is a good plan! A contrasting piece of yarn works when you don’t have coins. Thank you for watching and commenting.

      You should be able to find that in the actual template and design that is in the link in the description. I have to look because I have to make the hat larger for my brother as he has thick hair.

  • @rozsmith6850

    I’m puzzled. There’s no real decrease to form the “slouch”, it’s more of a “flop”, and unfitted.🤨☹️ How can I shape this, so the hat stays in warmly?

    My hat doesn’t sit flat like yours at row 8 and is not straight across the top - I had 94
    stitches. Where did I go wrong please?

  • @zeldatwilightfan1820
    @zeldatwilightfan1820 6 років тому

    The only thing from this project that I don't understand is the 8th round. I read the instructions and followed along in the video, but I am 3 short on the round, and can't figure out where I went wrong.
    Is there a proper way of evenly spacing out the stitch markers, or are you just eyeballing it?

    • @JonnaMartinezCrochet
      @JonnaMartinezCrochet  6 років тому

      No proper way, just eye ball it.
      Make sure as you go each round has the right number of stitches.
      If you are still short 3 then just
      Back up, add three and continue.
      Thank you for watching and commenting.

      Yes, I agree. My husband wears it but he complains the same.
      You can always do the last rows in a ribbing. Front post back post dc or hdc. This will tighten it up.
