The 90s was the best era for Animation. Everything was hand drawn and had the artists heart and soul in each frame.
Last great era
Hands down
"...hand drawn and had the Koreans sweat and tears on each frame."*
*fixed that for you.
Very true
@@Zackaria_sMax You aren't wrong, but that was more so true in the 80s. At least, in the 90s, some studios started making their cartoons in North America again, if not directly in-house. Also, not all Eastern outsourcing animators suffered during the productions of shows, but, again, you aren't wrong.
The 90s was the best decade in terms of pop culture ( including the early 2000s )
Cartoons, tv shows, movies, sports, games, music, etc.
But still cool with suoerhero movies like the crow 1994
@@tapinewoods3937 absolutely one of my favourites I had no idea the anti hero could be seen like that at the time I knew of anti heros they were pushed to the side but I’m glad the crow and blade got their moment in both respective movies
@@Kas58223 Blade 1 and 2 are amazing marvel movies
@@tapinewoods3937 without a question Wesley Snipes captured the essence of Blade and had no idea Marvel could go down this route
70s&80s = Best Musics.
90s = Best Animated Series.
2000s = Best Video Games.
2010s = Best Series.
The 1990's was when mankind's creativity was firing on all cylinders.
True asf. Creativity fell off HARD after 2013
Gargoyles was such a outstanding show I'm going to watch them right now 😎👍
Phenomenal show I’ve just rewatched some of them and the subject matters never talked down to kids
@@Kas58223 It was one of my favourite shows of the 90s it was so cool that a few of the crew of star trek the next generation were the voice actors 🙂
@@soulreaver1983 yea I had no idea zantos is such a cunning guy knowing of what do in any situation and he never saw anything a failure as his partner from the pact saying the robot failed and he said no I can make millions like this but true love can’t be made
@@Kas58223 Yeah it was such an awesome line his character was very well written they need to bring this show back it would be awesome if Keith David came back to voice Goliath 😎
@@soulreaver1983 without a doubt couldn’t image anyone else voicing him
The 90s definetley was the Golden age for animated tv-shows. There's so many quality shows from that decade that I understand why some wheren't featured here (as much I would have liked too) such as Godzilla: The Series, Exo-Squad, The Critic and Duckman.
Mighty Max was a show I watched when. I was little and I loved it.
I watched the majority of those when I got home from high school, and my mom enjoyed the DC and Marvel comics ones, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, and Gargoyles.
I loved the 90s that was my era of cartoons! The only ones I was surprised you didn’t have was The Pirates of Dark Water. That cartoon was a visual masterpiece and I hope someday as an adult I can watch it in full. Oh and also A Puppy Named Scooby Doo was absolute 🔥 Great list with some stellar choices! 😊😎
The Simpsons and Power Rangers Were My favorites alongside Dexter's Lab and Ed Edd n' Eddy
Gargoyles was incredible but where is Mighty Max? It certainly deserves to be on this list.
everyone forgot mighty max and its great intro song
@@rickj.392 But hated the finale.
Yea, can't believe Mighty Max. There are 5 on this list I'd swap for
@@joester4lifefinale made u just wanna loop back to see all the adventures again
Yeah, definitely would have ranked ReBoot, Extreme Ghostbusters, Men in Black, and Jackie Chan Adventures as being way higher than a lot that did make the list, though at least a lot did deserve to be in the top 50.
Jackie Chan Adventures was released in the year 2000 so probably why it didn't make this 90's list. But yeah, I loved Jackie Chan too. I think of all the 90's shows the Rugrats was definitely my most watched.
So glad to have been a 90s kid. Best decade for animation, hands down.
Some of my favorites.
Beavis and Butthead
Daria
Recess
Animaniacs
Superman
Darkwing Duck
Tiny Toons
Rugrats
Hey Arnold
90s cartoons were outstanding, entertaining and memorable.
The 90s had too many to chose from. You got most of my favorites. Didn't think anyone remembered Road Rovers. I'd have to put Reboot, Street Sharks and Mighty Max, New Ghostbusters on my list. Then there's Iron Man and Hulk.
This IS the list. Buuuut…mighty max? TMNT? Street sharks? Magic school-bus? Good list man! Really good. I appreciated this. 89. Respect for Swat-Cats!
Cap bearer shall never be forgotten! That show was too good to be from a boy version of Polly pocket 😂
I love the ‘90s cartoons and lineups. Nickelodeon, Fox Kids and Kids’ WB! we all had awesome shows and channels and I miss them.
Great video guys and you included Pokemon! I am a happy 80s and 90s kid and Ty again. Keep the awesome stuff coming please and my suggestions are best episodes of Smallville and the best Kids’ WB! shows of all time. Ty folks and keep being Marvelous!
it's a crime that many of these are still not out in a complete DVD/blu-ray set. while we do have streaming platforms. as movie and show collector. I would love to own all of these on DVD or Blu-ray
I'll always say the 80s was the greatest decade for animation, but the 90s gave us Batman Animated Series, Spider-Man Animated Series,X-Men,Swat Kats, and Darkwing Duck all my favorites.
Dbz at 6am then the mask after right before school. But all these are forever dope af
I miss these cartoons since I was raised during this period. Thanks for uploading
Samurai Jack, Mummies Alive, Jackie Chan Adventures, and Biker Mice from Mars would have been included on my list. Great video though!
The 90's cartoons are the best in our childhood also Adult animation like Spawn who deserves a fourth season
Ahhh, MOST of these cartoons DID NOT come on, on Saturday morning or on the weekend at all
My childhood revisit, thank you!
I remember all of these shows on Sunday morning cartoons, there was a lot of cool cartoons playing at the same time on different channels, man the kids now have it easy you can watch what you want now, still have great memories.
The 90s are the best ever!
My top three favorite decades of cartoons are
(3) 1970's
(2) 1990's
(1) 1980's
Born in 1995.. grew up watching Mask, Centurions, Powerpuff Girls, GI Joe...
We were too poor when I was a kid in the 90’s so unfortunately we didn’t have cable. Anything on Cartoon Network or Nikelodeon we totally missed out on. It’s been a pleasure discovering some of these as an adult!
I was also poor in the late 90s and never had cable ever again. I associate Cartoon Network with the doctor's office lobby now. Fox and WB were pretty good for me and included some anime. If I tweaked the TV antennas just right, I could sometimes pick up some obscure channel playing shows like Rough Necks and Double Dragon.
Детство, детство, мои воспоминания никто и ни чем не испортит)
You didn't mention Talespin. I also want to know why no one ever mentions Wild West C.O.W. Boys of Moo Mesa or Samurai Pizza Cats. All 3 of these good 90's cartoons.
My most memorable episode of Spongebob Squarepants is the one where his brother Squidward asks to fill in to work at the bubble bowl he just wanted to try to humiliate him which backfired miserably
The Tick underrated cartoon!
Insanely underrated. So funny
A few that wasn't mentioned are Mighty Ducks, Mighty Max, Reboot, Mummies Alive, Ultraforce, WildC.A.T.s, Savage Dragon, Silver Surfer and Incredible Hulk.
Disney's Gargoyles and Disney's Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series are 2 of Disney animated cartoons!
I miss the 90s so much. Life was so incredibly simple and very much enjoyable.
Just amazing. It must have taken a lot of effort to make this video. Thank you very much for this.
The 90s is one of the most famous eras of cartoons along with the 80s, 70s and 60s. And the 2000s too
DECIMATED!!!!!
I was in my early 20s and watched every one of these. Spaceghost was a must! June bugs was a house favorite because my rabbit loved it every year!
I forgot about AAAH, real monsters...freakazoid! Spawn! Batman the animated series, ren and Stimpy, courage, ed, ed, and eddy... in fact any cartoon network, MTV, 😊 or nickelodeon cartoon i watched.
Animaniacs, pinky and the brain, the tick...the live action series is great too! ..wb was an ok channel!
Shiiit rocks with his pal Heffernan or STEAK, as his family called him
We have to go back. The 90s were just different you had to be there to understand it
Where is KING ARTHUR AND THE KNIGHTS OF JUSTICE??? And what about ADVENTURES OF SONIC THE HEDGEHOG??? Both series where amazing!!! How did you not put it on the list!!!
I loved this episode marvelous videos! Bobbies world! Freakazoid! Tiny toons...!
I had forgotten so many of these., as I spent much of the 90s in drugs, alcohol , live music,, and cartoons, as I was in my 20s in seattle.
I loved the reminder.
I still watch so many of these! Futurama, South Park, the Simpsons, animaniacs, Metalocalypse, the venture brothers...(adult swim changed my life lije cartoon network and nickelodeon changed my life then. Lol)
Street Sharks, Biker Mice From Mars, Extreme Dinosaurs...??!!
My son watched every episode of each of these- along with jeepers creepers 1 2& 3 and all of the Twilight Zone- before he turned 11
now we're talking!
Xmen, WildCats, Ultaforce, Fantastic Four, Spawn, Spiderman, Ironman, Hulk, Batman, Superman, Gargoyles, The Maxx, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, SwatKatz, Biker Mice, Ninja Turtles, Pirates of Darkwater, Skeleton Warriors, Extreme Ghost Busters, G.I.Joe Extreme, Extreme Dinosaurs, Street Sharks, Dragon Ball Z, Ronin Warriors, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, Savage Dragon, Mutant League, King Arthur & Knights of Justice, Batman Beyond, Justice League Unlimited, Action Man, James Bond Jr, Swamp Thing,
Powerpuff girls is in Germany a milenium cartoon because it wasn't released in the 90's here!
I hope some day modern day reactors react Swat Kats and Gargoyles.
I’m rewatching Gargoyles what a show I still wish cartoons were still like that
So: a dark/gloomy/fantasy cartoon from the 90s - 80s (probably beginning of 90s). The cartoon was available on Cartoon Network, at the time.
!!!! She wasn't the main character, but there was a mermaid trapped in a tank of water (I think somewhere in a cave, or underground), held hostage by some weird creature. The mermaid had stars covering her breasts.
On the surface, above, there was a guy (a hero/prince of some kind or something), with some fantasy creatures as friends. I think he had blond hair.
I also remember a magical tree and something in the sky - a sky-ship or something, on which there was another fantasy creature, I think an antagonist.
The air of the show somehow resembles the Pirates of the Dark Water!
And it was really unpopular, gloomy and dark, with a lot of fantasy.
BATMAN - you missed the point that this series had the best Catwoman costume as well
50 sounded like a big list, but I've seen all of these shows and considered them the typical big shows. It makes me wonder just how many 1990s cartoons I've really seen.
I've seen "Tom and Jerry", "Dragon Tales", "Ed, Edd, and Eddy", "Arthur", "Dexter's Laboratory", "Courage the Cowardly Dog", "Rugrats", SpongeBob SquarePants", "Johnny Bravo", "Recess", "Sonic the Hedgehog", "Space Ghost Coast to Coast", "Dragon Ball Z", "Pokémon", "Hey Arnold", "Futurama", and some of "Bevis and Butthead". The others on this list seem like great shows! I didn't know Dexter's accent was Russian or that "Hey Arnold" took place in New York. And one of the ducks is from "Duck Tales"! 56:10 By they way, "Dragon Ball Z" and Pokémon" are not cartoons, they're anime. I'd like to check out the other cartoons on this list. It sucks that all these shows stopped airing.
ANIMANIACS - and really pushed the boundaries of appropriate jokes... look up the "Finger Prince" joke
The eternal question how much is just nostalgia and how much is raw objective quality?
Most all these cartoons mentioned were classic cartoons in my eyes!!
it wasnt edgy. Digimon, X-Men, spider-man, Medabots, Monster rancher, Pokemon, Animaniacs, Pinky and The Brain, Tiny Toons, Tazmania, Darkwing Duck, Aladdin. So many more great shows.
Biker mice from mars should have been in there
Enjoyable narration
i am disappointed that The Bots Master never got a listing .. it was one of my all time fave shows from the 90s
Its intro is stellar too.
The 90s was the era of anime boom in america. Cant believe you missed dragon ballz sailor moon. Evangelion and many others.
In america there were a few outstanding ones like batman. Xmen. Gargoyles. Street sharks and captain planet
If Captain Planet is dark and edgy then Akira was a comedy! There was nothing dark or edgy about that show... yes I know about the drug episode but to be frank it was almost obligatory with DIC as there was a drug themed episode in COPS and GI Joe which was two parter, compared to Exo-Squad or Gatchaman which was a much better show with environmental themes and characters.
Now X-Men was dark as it pulled much of its source material from the comics.
this is my favorite list
What about "pirates of the dark water"????
Where is Dragon Booster, American Dragon, Legend of Tarzan, Inuyasha, Cyborg 009?
every cartoon 90s all of them my childhood
Can you talk about Bond, James Bond?
Futurama alone gives me so much Nostalgia....
And it has one of the most beautiful endings of all shows. Despite being might somewhat kitschy.
The presenter had right..
What a trip down memory lane and I’ve rewatched some of them as well still holds up and never talked down to kids regarding certain subjects
Kane's Parents and Kane remember some of theses Cartoons 😊
I thought maybe mighty Max might have been in this one.. 🤷🏼♂
I love the recess series even like the the movie called recess schools out
I always loved all these. But i really loved xmen series.
80's and 90's were the best , missing the Silver Brumby ...
American culture peaked to its max in the 90s in fact its so lame now people these days call cool stuff back then "edgy".
I always thought Mighty Max was an epic cartoon
The Iron Man animated series of the mid-90's, the Starship troopers animated spinoff: Roughnecks: The Starship Trooper Chronicles, and others..
I love the first season for after the second I found out they were just you know recycling old gags and just outgrew that cartoon
Tom and Jerry has been longer than the 90s. I remember watching them in the 80s.
Rocket power, as told by ginger, thundercats and he man mater of the universe. I could go on forever😂
Scooby Doo took the 90s off.
X-men was amazing, but the rest compared to the 80s list, pales in comparison.
I don’t think it could have surpassed the 1970’s, because you had a continuation of Scooby-Doo,you had Superfriends,Spider-Woman Speed-Buggy, a newer version of The Flintstones, and a newer version of Space Ghost.
Nice video, but I think you should not include anime series and you should do video about best 50 anime in the 90s, because including anime with cartoons so I believe the Japanese works would took the whole rank because many of their works are more edgy than most of any western animated series.
❤90S
I got into heavy metal to this day thanks to beavis and butthead.
Nostalgia
Bobby's success endured
Didn't know Arthur was considered dark and edgy
Two words people. Exo Squad.
Who's here after XMen '97❤
I love all the actor in The Acts characters my favorite being Katie Kaboom the dumbest one I've ever seen was about that chicken who thinks he's a human
Tom n Jerry is way too old cartoon but aired in 90s
Yeah out of nostalgia and g2tting old....
But the 90s were the best overall...
Simple times with quality tv and outside activities..
Arthur and Dragon Tales
The longest lasting Marvel TV series was Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D., not X-Men; get it through your head’s already! :(((((
Where's CAPTAIN BUCKY O'HARE in all these top videos?! Green rabbit from outer space, that Def ended too soon. I remember playing it in the school yard aged 7 or so, I'm 38 now, so 31 years ago, so sad it's not on any list!!!
Hello cartoon fans I am looking for a specific cartoon it came out in the 90s along the same time as Reboot is about a group of Hi-Tech heroes with transforming cars fighting an evil organization did have weird cyber tentacles
My people's=you ever hear of the healing power of my laughtee
Hello everyone, I remember a cartoon series when I was a child (around 1999 - 2000) but I can't remember the name, what I remember is that there were some guys coming from another planet to earth in order to destroy it and one of these guys had a son with a woman from earth. His son was against him and tried to protect the earth, he possessed some superpowers being able to manipulate objects or smt like that. Later in the series the bad guys established a base on the dark side of the moon from where they were launching meteors towards earth with a hi-tech cannon. If someone remembers, can you please tell me what was the name of the cartoon? Ty!
Edit: I found it and it's called "Invasion America".
