90s cartoons hold a special place in many people's hearts. Shows like Family Guy, Futurama, and SpongeBob gained popularity in the 2000s and continue to bring joy to fans.
In my opinion, animated television's golden age started from 1990 to 2001. Now I enjoy a lot of the shows from the 80s & '60s but they were limited by the technology of the time and there were only really two genres back then; witty Hanna Barbera comedies and merchandise-driven action shows. The 90s took such a massive leap forward in both quality and variety. The Simpsons proved that animated programming aimed at adults could be incredibly profitable, setting the stage for all the adult cartoons that came after. Meanwhile, Batman: The Animated series showed that there was an interest in cartoons with a more serious tone and Steven Spielberg's line of whacky, high-octane comedies like Tiny Toons Adventure and Animaniacs proved that there was a demand for shows with cleverly written jokes that could appeal to all ages. At the same time Disney, Nickelodeon, and Cartoon Network started producing their own original shows, experimenting with what worked & what didn't. Then in the early 2000s, all of that ended and I'm not sure why. Seemed like most shows after the 90s just tried to copy what Spongebob Squarepants did with hopes of getting similar results. There are of course some gems from that decade too such as Megas XLR and Avatar but they were few & far between. 2010-2015 was another golden age for cartoons for many of the same reasons the 90s were a golden age, a variety of genres and animation styles co-existing, and all finding a sizable audience. Anyway, this video was amazing! It was like it was reading my mind with how it brought up just the cartoons I was thinking of. Narrowing down such an amazing decade of cartoons to only 100 couldn't have been easy. Still, here are some animated shows from the 90s I think deserve to be mentioned; -Capitol Critters (1992-1995) -The Animals of Farthing Woods (1993-1995) -Exosquad (1993-1995) -Duckman (1994-1997) -Skeleton Warriors (1994) -Action Man (1995-1997) -Beast Wars (1996-1999) -Jungle Cubs (1996-1998) -Extreme Dinosaurs (1997) -Godzilla: The Series (1998-2000) -Silver Surfer (1998) -Flying Rhino Junior High (1998-2000) -Dilbert (1999-2000) -Mission Hill (1999) -Beast Machines (1999-2001) -Downtown (1999) -Cybersix (1999)
BTAS was hands down the best cartoon of the '90s. Probably the best cartoon of all time.

they are reasonably keeping the numbers to themselves as to not start World War 3.

i still watch Cartoons but i also watch Anime. i'm big on Animation of all kinds.
Cartoon characters never die lol
The 70s to the 90s were the three most creative decades for entertainment.
Shoutout ”Road Rovers”
I hope the X-Men Animated Series is on the list
Absolutely my childhood! This is my decade!
Dog City was underrated
Is Ka-Blam! seriously not on here
Garfield is definitely an 80s cartoon.
I think if it didn't premiere in the 90s, it should be taken off the list and shows like DuckMan should be put in its place
what didnt premiere in the 90s?
Why am I not surprised that Disney dominates a majority of shows on this list?
😊 I wouldn't mind watching that I don't show
