yeah and in the VH1 behind the music when they were telling the story, James said that before they told Jason. He and Lars pissed together and agreed to go tell him. So if you go in the mens room you will see the famous double urinals where the discussion took place lol!
The "traffic light booth" at the intersection of California and Powell is a signal station to hep the cables cars avoid getting caught on the hill. Both lines ascend a steep hill here. Before COVID there was a person stationed there to signal the cable car operators to climb the hill. Not sure now since the cable cars just reopened. I go through this intersection between my house and office, when I go in.
Thanks for always remembering Robin. I am Bay Area born and raised and we look at that man as our father figure and hero around these parts. Had a chance to see him perform once, what a gift he was to us all ❤️
Adam I have been to San Francisco with my mother back in the late 1970's and early 1980's and we rose a the cable cars. You brought back great memories Thank You for sharing.
To some of the hates in the comments about natalie be kind please if yous got something nice to say, say it if not keep your opinions to yourselves, Natalie's got a cool personality and great style rant over.. Anywhoo changing the subject... to Adam and Natalie love the videos keep them up love to see more vids of the 2 of you's very enjoyable yay SHALL YOU 😁
Was hoping you would check out the house from Mrs Doubtfire . Jonny’s looks like a cool place. Food looked good. Like your shirt. Been enjoying the tours of The City. Natalie is a good tour guide and knows where the special places to eat. Y’all be safe.
That Raiders scene was a very late pickup. The original edit went from "top men" to the crate with the Ark in the warehouse. After an internal screening, Marcia Lucas asked "but what happened to Marion?" They wrote up that scene and picked that location, in part, because it is not all that far from Skywalker Ranch.
@@TheDailyWoo I am actually an instructor for the Waymo cars as well as a minor youtuber. Would love to show you around Oracle Park when the Giants are back in town since you are into baseball stadiums now!
Lovely to see Tommy’s Joynt, it’s been a bit. My mom would take me there when I was a wee child in the late 60’s & 70’s. (Yeah, back when Playland existed. I think we’d stop on the way home - omg Adam you would have LOVED Playland.) Been many times since and never have I ever ordered anything except the roast beef dip sandwich. You have to get lucky that the rare beef is up top. They used to have an awesome all you want pickle barrel… Sat in that booth many a time, ah the memories.
Speaking of Indiana Jones, if you head north a bit to Novato, the hanger where he boards the plan to escape Lou Che is still around. You’ll even pass the bridge where Dirty Harry jumps onto a school bus up in Larkspur
Very cool… If you like focaccia, check out Liguria in the little Italy section just up from the wharf. I think it’s North Beach, the pizza and jalapeño and cheddar variety are the best. Also right next door is Mom’s, great breakfast spot. Go early, lines will form. If you go split up line duties lol.

Adam, I have wanted to go to Alcatraz for years. Thank you for taking me there. I don't feel like I need to go now. You did a thorough job. Thank you. Also I love all the info and details you add to your videos.
When I recognize your references I get so excited! 2 cities I would enjoy you researching and vlogging....New York and Toronto. So many great movies and TV shows filmed there. Especially Toronto since it always is trying to pass as a US city. And....if the timing is right....you could hit the baseball games too!! BTW...love Natalie's bell bottoms. Perfect for The City!
I love, love, love this San Francisco series. A great mixed bag of interests. It is many years since I last visited but you have shown areas I remember and new places that make me want to visit again. Well done. Cheers
We always get a pass for a week ,when we are there for all the transportation in SF , we love the cable cars ! Coit tower is well worth a visit ! I tried to walk over the Golden Gate Bridge but chickened out ( I’m scared of bridges lol ) I’ve really enjoyed your visit to one of my favourite cities ! Thank you x
see my avatar? its the dude from Invasion of the bodysnatchers '1978'. There is a shot in that film where they walk along the same path of the city hall, past the Lincoln statue, and the banjo playing homeless guy with the dog is sat on that wall where you were. Also Indiana Jones has 'two' other S.F locations. On treasure island, and at a former airforce base just out of town for the other two movies.
Adam...been to San Francisco around 12 times and one time parked next to Japan town to go in with a van I rented. I have some very valuable things in the glove box because I was afraid to carry and the van was broken into ..window smashed as well as 5 others on the block. They got watches and pictures and even my airline tickets and passport. San Francisco can be a very dangerous place as well. 😟
Little late to seeing this but I believe you hit a couple of filming locations for the movie Bullitt with Steve McQueen. For example, Grace Cathedral was where Chalmers serves a writ of habeas corpus on the police chief Bennet.
Lol Failed attempt Adam at recreating the Indy /Marion scene going down the Government stairs you should have went down the stairs mumbling… “Fools! .. Bureaucratic Fools!!✊🏻
Surprised you didnt check out the Walt Disney Museum, thats pretty good. Also the Cable Car Museum, its on the route of the car, its basically the engine room of the whole system where all the cables go and are pulled. Pretty interesting, it used to be free to enter.
Always enjoy seeing Natalie along as co-star. If you haven't left SF yet....you could always hit all the Star Trek 4 filming sites (the film where they went back to modern day to save the whales).
Fun! Thanks! You were also at the 007 “A View To A Kill” City Hall and Sauna locations and Hitchcock “Vertigo” and “Family Plot” locations. I’ll try to find the Mrs. Doubtfire house today. While locals avoid the tenderloin, the small/fascinating tenderloin museum explains why it is what it is.
I thought you had driven north to Eureka. Little town on the ocean just north of the giant redwoods. Similar to Rockport in MA a new England town but in California.
The hotel Fairmount was the outside setting for the show Hotel and Bette Davis was supposed to be in it. Only appeared in the pilot and then due to illness, could not resume. The hotel was also in the movie "Hard to Hold" that starred Rick Springfield.
I would love to see a dining review of the "Bridges" restaurant from the movie Mrs. Doubtfire. That would be a short 20-30 minute trip down to Danville. It would be something different for you & Natalie to document.👍 Hello from Phoenix Arizona!🔥
Another great video! I have that shirt your wearing! Golden state warriors logo! Thanks for showing off so many great places to see in the city! Also Sausalito is a great city to visit! Right over the golden gate bridge!
For a while I commuted to work in downtown from North Beach on the cable car, free at the time with a monthly transit pass. Mostly just me and a lot of tiny Asian American schoolchildren. Great memories.
I think that place where they filmed that interior shot from Indiana Jones is the same place they filmed the press conference scene in The Enforcer, when Clint Eastwood tells his boss what to do with his star.
“HELLLLLO!” In my Mrs. Doubtfire’s voice! 😉

I got married at the top of the staircase in city hall. There was still scaffolding from the Loma Prieta quake in 1989.
