FYI: The painted ladies are not the Tanner house. Those were just used as a backdrop for the opening. (Shots from the park) The actual Tanner house is located at 1709 Broderick St. Street. The address used on the show however is 1862 Gerald St. 💁🏻♂️
Adam, that is not the Tanner house from Full House. They only used the Painted Lady’s in the opening credits. The address of the actual house is 1709 Broadrick Street San Francisco go check it out…
@@rupman27isback They like to skip since the videos are too long. Even I that has no idea about tv shows and their locations heard it in Adams video that the recording took place in a another address. Cheers
That house is barely in the opening. Go watch it. The houses they pull out from aren't even the painted ladies. The painted ladies are only seen on the picnic scene and the actual actors weren't there. Like Adam said, those are look alikes from the back. If the people doing the tours of the blue house are claiming it has anything to do with the show they're totally ripping people off.
@@rupman27isback he still doesn't address it correctly, he just said they used a diff house for closeups. That is incorrect. The painted lady was not used as the tanner house at all. It was the house on Broderick that was used as THE tanner house. They used that house for wide shots, closeups, everything...as it was the house.
Adam - fyi the 2nd house in is not actually the full house house. The real address is 1709 Broderick Street in San Francisco. It’s about 10 blocks northwest of the painted ladies. The Broderick address is where Stamos was outside and nobody noticed and is also the recreation at WB. The painted ladies are just the park opener scene.
Painted ladies are any Edwardian or Victorian painted 3 or more different colors. The Full House ones are called postcard row. They’re painted for the seasons.
In the UK 🇬🇧 we have Dutch Crunch Bread But it’s called Tiger Bread & the way you make both is by brushing a wash of flour, water and sugar over them, so when they bake it hardens, and as it expands crackles, hence in the UK, we call it tiger, because it looks like a tiger pattern
It's great seeing the sights with you & Daphne! I've not been to San Fran. Only lived in San Fernando valley. Some interesting things to see. Amoeba is there too? Cool!
My favorite Mary-Kate & Ashley project was To Grandmother's House we Go! I even found it on TV last Xmas and DVR'd it to have to watch at Xmas time because it was my childhood Xmas movie. Well that and A Christmas Story
Always enjoy your videos, and excited you're here in SF, you basically walked right past my apartment yesterday! Also just, FYI, the painted ladies are not the Tanner house, they're in the intro., but the tanner house is over by Divisidero Street, a little ways northwest, not far from Mrs. Doubtfire's house. If you have time, I suggest you see both while you're here!
Wow Adam you and Daphne went to Alamo Square to see the Painted Ladies. Been there all the time since I am a local resident of San Francisco. You gotta check out the real Full House on Broadrick Street. It is 1709 Broadrick Street is the real Tanner House.
Wow! The painted ladies is definitely something I want to see when I go next year. I think that I would feel like I had arrived in San Francisco when I go 👍
Hey Adam and Daphne, i like the nice San Francisco vibes.Beautiful city.Strange to see driverless cars, i dont know how they would fit in with crazy L A traffic.Nice one today from Universal Jamie.
Awwww my brother lived in the coolest apartment across from Golden gate park! I used to visit him and the lil cafe he managed at the bottom of Lombard....miss those good ol days
TGIF as a youth was so awesome. All those shows were so good. Balki was great. Don't be ridiculous! Also, it was evening TV. What ever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
I grew up Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Dukes of Hazzard, Mommas family. I I have Full House, Dukes of Hazzard, and Mommas Family on DVD all episode s.🤠😎
San Francisco City Hall was also used in the intro to The Towering Inferno when they dedicate the film to the Fire Fighters. Also used in several Dirty Harry films.
I was based in San Diego for 8-ish years and my wife and I would head up to San Fran once in a while. I've always loved the vibe of San Francisco, it's a unique and cool place. Great video as always Adam!
Hey Adam, really enjoying your visit. If you go to Philz again you should try the Turkish coffee with mint sprig- it is certainly a delicious hot caffeinated beverage! Living in SF, most residents have disdain for those driverless cars- it’s concerning when it seems humans are being replaced with technology. I’ve seen some of them malfunction and cause accidents as well as get in the way of first responders. Personally, I never cross walk in front of them as they are unpredictable. Not sure if you have visited North Beach yet, but it’s home of Beatnik Poets and wonderful Italian food.
I've seen, The Painted Ladies, while living in, Fairfield California. I'd drive a ways and catch a ferry. It's was beautiful on the way to, San Francisco!
How did you like living in Fairfield? Always thought that might be nice. Such a more rural, ranchy vibe but so close to the city. My grandma used to live in Vallejo. Some good memories of Scandia. Lol.
I'm from Arizona and moved to Fairfield for two years. I liked it. I loved the weather and the people. We lived pretty close to a lot of fun places to go. We went to San Francisco five times while living there and enjoyed it every time. It's sad to see how it is now.
Fun Fact...I built the whole building that Phil's coffee is at in the beginning. It's also one of the absolute worst streets in all of San Francisco. That is where you watch were you step and people are strung out everywhere. Adam did a great job of hiding reality
You should have gone up in the DeYoung Museum Tower. It’s free and has awesome views in every direction. You can see it in the Ferris wheel part of the vlog. You also missed the Japanese tea garden, just a stones throw from there, and the botanical gardens, AND, the herd of buffalo down by the beach. And, the windmills, the old CliffHouse (currently closed). So much to see in Golden Gate Park. And, you should have popped into the Academy of Arts and Sciences. There’s a rainforest in there and an observatory. So much fun.
I love that area! Yeah, the house from Full House is about a mile away from the Painted Ladies, over on Broadrick street. The Ladies were just used in the background for the intro. Also the Mrs. Doubtfire house is right in that area too!
Really enjoying this San Francisco series! Enjoyed my time living there in the Bay area! If you get a chance take a quick drive to nearby Fairfield and see the Jelly Belly Factory and/or Charles Shultz museum and Snoopys Home Ice skating rink in Santa Rosa!
Don't get me wrong I enjoy everyone's videos, but it's the same ones over and over. All the history that's gone on in this country and the same target points never change. Great video!!!
Painted Ladies bushes (or trees) on the boulevard in front of the Painted Ladies houses, sure grew taller in height - last 35 years. I was there in the park in 1988 yr.
Love full house and fuller house seen them both all thecway though many times. My favorite Mary Kate and Ashley show non full house is The movie It takes Two with Kristy Ally and the Christmas movie To Grandmother's house we go. Tiger bread also known as Dutch crunch and under various brandnames, is a bread of Dutch origin that has a mottled crust. San Francisco looks beautiful. It has a reputation in recent years of being a crime ridden dump given over to homeless hoards ( like Seattle) , yet I didn't see any of that in your video. Was that just editing or is the city not as bad as people say?
