When you think about it, all the actors back then (,male and female) had to be able to sing, dance, act and do a fair amount of stunt work. Many actors today can barely act let alone do/sustain a good foreign accent or actually sing or dance...
George was his own worse enemy he turned down some of the greatest roles of his time. It would be so interesting if we could see how just one would have worked out if he took the role.

He was an excellent dancer!! I never heard much about him, only Astaire and Kelly . But, I love Rafts dance moves and style. He was sexy!!
