  • A very brief glimpse of George Raft's famous high speed dance in the 1929 film Gold Diggers of Broadway, unfortunately most of the visuals from his segment are lost.

I'm Stone Wallace, the author of George Raft: The Man Who Would Be Bogart and have been called by many (including Raft biographer Lew Yablonsky) as probably the world's top authority on Mr. Raft, whose life and career I have studied since 1972. Yes, the dancer is DEFINITELY George. His appearance is unmistakable and his dancing unique and singular. Just one of several bit parts Raft made in Hollywood prior to his beginning to really make his mark opposite Spencer Tracy in QUICK MILLIONS.

Do you want to make a bet. It's George alright it in his Bio and on the IMDb. That's George Raft doing his Famous Lightening fast Charleston.

I've read his biography, and with all respect, it contains a number of easily refuted statements and exaggerations. Mr. Raft was known for embellishing stories and giving numerous versions of the same occurrences. And what if it was him? Is there a prize being offered to the person who can irrefutably prove that it was? Okay, I humbly and apologetically admit that you are correct as you doubtless always are - I concede to your obviously superior knowledge and intelligence. By the way, your challenging 'do you want to make a bet' comment should be followed by a question mark...'It George' should read 'It's George', and the rest of the sentence it sloppy and unclear as well. "It's George all right, as it is stated in his bio and on IMDb" would be a properly constructed sentence. And you're one of those people who believes IMDb is always dependably accurate? Oh, boy.

Do you really think your winning when you correct someone's grammar? It shows you will do anything to win an argument. Mr. Raft did not write his own Bio's so how could lie about what he said in them. You obviously have not read all of the Bio's written on him, I have. It looks like you did not even check the IMDb or the Wikipedia. By the way how do you know I'm correct if you don't even know who I am? I think I know who you are. Your one of the persons who likes to say "Bah Humbug" to any random post. In reply to pulling my sentences apart, I will leave you with this.....It's George Raft all right you bet your sweet bootie it is. Don't mess with some who's UA-cam username is "Lovin Raft Queenofnite" on the subject of George Raft. How's that for grammar DR??? what your name? P.S. it also looks like right now it's two for that it is George Raft. Don't you get around the Internet much?

When I first saw it, I was shocked. Had no idea that was him.
