I can watch your videos all day long. Watching a real life "Hungry Caterpillar" in action. You are so nurturing and knowledgeable with the eggs it's amazing to watch. I hope you use the pictures, make it into a book and publish it for young children.
Christine and Michael, this brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart..the passion and tenderness that you two show towards nurturing and saving this beautiful species, without poison is breathtaking, you are doing so much to help the environment with that little piece of paradise that you have created, for the butterfly, the bees, the birds, and spiders, and everything in between..Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great video! You two are amazing. So much information presented in an entertaining and gentle way. I started planting milkweed last year and the caterpillars ate every leaf.
Knowing Milkweed, it'll be back in no time. Once it gets established its yours forever, and your neighbors' I had the same thing happen with Aristolochia. 12 fat Polydamas cats starved :-(>
I'm so happy to have found your wonderful video. I'm a first time monarch collector. I had found a baby and 2 caterpillars, but didn't know I should take them in! I bought proper cages, and was able to save one of the caterpillars!!! It's now in its chrysalis stage. It's so exciting!!!
Christine, I've enjoyed all of your videos, but this is my favorite. I love that both you and Michael have such gentle, loving souls. Thank you for sharing your love of nature, your love for one another, and your daily lives.

Do you still do this ? I think it's awesome what you are doing.. I seen some video that said it was a very big decline in the Monarch butterfly population and they hope that they don't become instinct 😮☹️ .. So what you are doing is incredible 🐛🦋🐛🦋🐛🦋🌹
Wow Christine! There you go and amazed me again!! :) That is so awesome what you and Michael are doing! You are giving back to "Mother Nature, Society, the World and Life itself!" Thank you so much Christine for ALL that you do! Thank you Michael for ALL that you do too! :) :) Great Vid.! :)
This is one of the most amazing videos I've ever watched. I love how much care you take with these caterpillars/butterflies. I was once caught in a migration in Southern California and the experience is something I've never forgotten. Thank you so SO much for sharing! (now I want to go plant some milkweed)
Rene Lewis living with the nature is true life. Since 2005 i have created butterfly garden in my home. It gives immense pleasure to see them and shooting photos and videos . Happy butterflying. We all must work to save them. They are great pollinators. If they disappeare , we will not get any food , crops, fruits ..... Nothing. Butterflies and bees.
You are a delight Christine! Thank you for sharing your wonderful world! I learned more about Monarch butterflies than I ever knew before! Especially the success rates of raising them inside a controlled environment or outside in natural environments! Fascinating!
I raise monarchs too! We have a big problem with flies that lay eggs on the caterpillars and parasite them and so I harvest the eggs and bring them inside to increase their chances of survival. I can't believe how many you have in your garden. how gorgeous!
What a fascinating lesson I learned! Thanks you guys for showing us the stages of a monarch. I smiled at the "day care center"...that was cute! Love the time you take to help them live to adulthood! You & Michael are such good people!! xoxo
thank you for this video. You may not see this comment but I saw this video when you first uploaded it. Now I am showing my daughter it because she is learning the butterflies life cycle and you beautifully displayed the different stages. She is six and is amazed that you put them inside your house for a while for pets. Thank you for taking the time to video this journey/experience you had. You kind of made it my daughter's also.
Hi Christine & Michael! What a wonderful video. You guys are truly the best. I love how you so gently aid in the butterflies transformation, and provide them with a loving and safe environment, as they pass from one stage to another. Thank you for sharing. : )

I literally just finished reading (about 10 secs ago) an article that stated the Monarch Butterfly population had decreased by 80% thanks to pesticides found in weed killers like round-up. These herbicides are responsible for wiping out milkweed. It was so incredibly beautiful to see you raising them. When I saw you seed saving I clicked subscribe immediately. Thanks for this awesome video :) made my day.
This is so awesome took me back to my childhood. When I was in 2nd grade we raised our own butterfly! Each student got a little container and a caterpillar we fed it and watched it build its cocoon! when it became a butterfly we walked to a near park and set them free!
