Merry Christmas to all and warm wishes for a better 2021. What a nice video today...the sound of the mvp66 is so AC/DC and beyond that very very classy and kt66 are the tubes to bring it on!! Thank you very much for the ride!!
"A difficult Beast to tame!" is the tagline for every great amp. Which is mostly why I don't like modelers or emulator thingys. Too tame. Too predictable. Too boring. You never tame a good amp. You hang on, you go for a ride, and hope that the amp will be kind and listen to your suggestions.
Do you have any additional thoughts on the MVP 66 vs the Dirty Shirley. I’m looking for a southern/classic rock amp that can also be used for traditional country and blues stuff. I’ve been eyeing the Dirty Shirley but now I’m interested in the Morgan.
Can I ask why some of the simpler amps are more higher in price rathernthan the amps that come with effects? I'm from Los Angeles by the way. I think I have met you before. I use to work 4 the LAX taxi dispatch COMPANY.
Sounds thick as a milkshake. Cool classic tone... Perhaps a bit woofy of a low-end? I thought my Friedman Dirty Shirley's low end was a bit "too much" or unable to be dialed out. I think he's addressed it with the new Twin Sister v2 of the DS... This amp's tone reminded me of the DS
Man just think if you ran that with Friedman's new preamp tube pedal and or a Mesa graphic EQ through the effects Loop talk about insane on top of insane
@@StudioChimiel my celebrity profile is making public appearances difficult, even w/the mask. I’m sure you’re going through the same...just get a bit tiresome, lol.
00 scratch that idea I thought it had an effects Loop but probably could still run it to the front but it definitely has enough on its own that's for sure
I'm getting sick listening to that amp because I don't have one I'm probably going to have to need one of those real soon so I can get rid of this dreaded sickness
Hay Henning do you think you can do a rock version of Cheez-Its that white cheddar rock out something like Cheez-Its it's the cops I told them I don't have no hops so they slapped on the c o o f s and called me a liar I told him this ain't my desire my only desire it's Cheez-Its it's the cops
That's strange on those pots I had some high pots from Canada put in to you a couple of my custom Ibanez guitars they're smooth as silk but they do the same thing they have this wobble all of them strange but cool they are super smooth but have that wobble
You can get the amp Leslie can take the animals and go hang out with Morgan on his boat with their animals and I'm sure he'll feed the animals because I think if she doesn't do that you might be in the dog house and the animals will be in your house
What it does, it does well, but those decisions that were made regarding various functionalities, and what will be included in the amp and what will not be included in the amp, regardless of the reasoning behind those decisions, or the relative legitimacy of the reasoning behind those decisions, those decisions will inevitably reduce the appeal of this amp to a very significant percentage of the potential market this amp would have otherwise enjoyed. The limitations created by these decisions, at a point in time where musicians are often presented with seemingly endless tonal possibilities and options, and even for the boutique market purists out there these limitations that had just been assumed to be true for generations are now, day by day, being relegated to remnants of the past for those who can remember these limitations being accepted. Mr Morgan knows more about every aspect of guitar amplifier design and build concepts then I do, and likely knows more about these concepts then I ever will. What I do know, however, is that the musicians in the amplifier marketplace are being presented with more and more options that do not limit their tonal possibilities, and do not compromise the quality of the construction and design of the amplifier,in any way, nor do they compromise in the quality of the tones produced by the amplifier. Ultimately the musicians decisions to buy or not buy these amplifiers will determine what is successful and what is important to the musicians, and in the end the musician is the winner because they're just more options to get the sounds that we are after. Hope you're doing well Henning, and that whatever holiday you celebrate, that it was a good one, I think we all deserve a good holiday after this year.
No wonder you can't talk to Morgan that amp has hidden bustiers those mad scientist they're kind of hard to reach kind of like in The Wizard of Oz until Dorothy ripped open the curtain and he was just a man a m e a r man with a lot of diodes and triodes and boxes of tubes and wires schematics and this and that that and this but killer ant pops out of that mad scientist mere man brain
Henning maybe you can get all of the little guys on your jacket shirt to call Morgan they can tell him repeatedly how busy they are they can jabber into the phone like Chipmunks to him or whoever answers the phone but at least you're getting paid yeah
Maybe hire someone to actually play and you could talk and turn knobs? I really like Morgan amps but I don't know if you do them justice with your plaing?
@@EytschPi42 I'm sorry! I don't mean it in a way to hurt your feelings. See it as feedback. I really enjoy the show and you are a really good entertainer. Oh man, that intro Song is really good!! Nice track!!
I was expecting this to be well into the 2500+ bucks range but holy hell is this thing priced sensibly for what it is!!!!
yep its on my list since i saw the first video with RJ! Thanks for your great in depth review!
It’s a great sounding amp, it sounds like a Vox and a Marshall at the same time. Keep it up man.
This amp is you, the best you have sounded

You never tame a good amp. You hang on, you go for a ride, and hope that the amp will be kind and listen to your suggestions.
Clearly you have never used a cheap modeler. They are very much a case of "hoping that it will listen to your suggestions."

Dirty Shirley is easier to play, but on the MVP66 you are rewarded with killer compression and dynamics... I would try both if you can.
Tasty playing on that Shabat with P90s!
How is there no hum!?!??!? Amazing.
An amp that is constructed of pure want.
What kind of cabinet is this? Looks cool...
Is white cheddar the nemesis of back in black? 🤯

What cab did you use for this?

That's pretty much how AC/DC writes their stuff, just enough to avoid copyright
Your hoodie is very jovial today Hennig.
Meister, wie ist so generell das Grundrauschen ? Bin Blueser und spiele eher mit einen leichtem Drive. Danke für Infosss
kein problem
Did you write me a theme song? 🤔
hey! Nice to "see you" , Cheddar - stay safe and loud

the simpler amps usually have higher quality parts and are built by hand and that is where the quality and the price comes from.
@@EytschPi42 thank you so much I can see the big picture now. I learn quite a bit with you. Thanks for all that you do on here.

"It's called a Stratocaster...by Suhr," from the guy who rants about "It's a Marshall...by Kemper." Okay then.
one is built and describes the shape, the other is digitally cloned and tries to sell with the brand name. There is quite a big difference.
