I'm so psyched this video popped up in my feed and that you called this lowlife out for using dating apps to gain access to children. I also thought it was important enough for single mothers (parents) to know about this apparently successful method, that I explore it in a book I wrote, divulging the myriad of techniques pedophiles use to gain access to children (and early signs of a pedophile in-the-making). Social media in general, but dating apps specifically, really provide a smorgasbord (for lack of a better term) of victims for child predators. Great job covering this case

I will never ever understand how women are so willing to bring their small children around men who they have never met. Like whaaaaa? When my daughter was little, I wouldn’t even allow her to go spend the night at her friends houses until I found out the situations and did a background check on them. That’s a little on the other end of the spectrum, but to just meet someone on the internet and then hop in the car with him with your kid? Just inconceivable.

Rachel is right. Online dating can be an amazing way to meet someone. But if you do choose to do that, PLEASE be careful. Like she said, meet in a public place. Don’t ride with them. Share your location. Share the person’s information with a trusted friend or family member. You can never be too safe.
I met my husband online 5 years ago. We chatted on messenger and video called for weeks before we met in person. Even so, we met in public and even had friends join us. Online dating can work out incredibly well when done right!

Im gonna go out on a limb and say his ex-wife knew something about his depravities... ......this man was married throughout most of 2002-20?? 2018 or something? And they had a kid........I'd bet money the wife discovered he did something to their kid, probably a daughter, or maybe discovered something in general he was doing to other little girls, or discovered sketchy stuff he was doing online. He didn't just have a normal 15-year marriage and then start this stuff. Post divorce, He was obviously only after mothers.....he wanted the kids. The daughters. Such depravity. I have daughters in their 20s and a 14 year old son who is non speaking autistic. We all still live together as a family unit of 5 and are very tight knit like oldschool cultures, because........THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY. Ladies, dont drive off in anyones car like this! Especially not with your child. Predators put in the WORK. Dont equate the time spent talking online and on the phone with safety or trust! Thats their whole game plan.

It’s "cultural" to marry a pretty girl half your age in the UK? One in England, one in Scotland. It's not cultural, it's predatory.
It's not even "cultural" on her side. She's not marrying them because Filipino women seek out men who could be their fathers (or grandfathers), she's looking for a way out of poverty and hoping for a decent relationship.
I'm not bothered by age differences, as long as everyone's old enough to consent. I also don't judge the wide variety of reasons people marry. Love is great. A trade off is fine as long as both benefit from the transaction & know what they're getting into.
But to call it cultural suggests it's an expected social norm in a particular region, religion or ethnicity. Cultural to apply to a marriage would have to be between people within the SAME culture. By marrying foreigners people can share culture but the marriage itself won't be cultural.
That can mislead people, some of whom are so familiar with British culture that they assume it must be part of Filipino culture, which adds to othering people of color.
Culture is behavior passed on. If her parents & grandparents didn't have massive age gaps, it's not cultural, it's either happenstance or convenient.

Oh my this case is so disturbing on so many levels. Where was the young girls mother? Was she abducted and her mom killed also? You did not touch on her story much which I assume is because the facts are unknown or restricted due to privacy laws. I feel so bad for this young lady and her gorgeous little Daughter Jellica. They must of gone through hell. I bet he was caught abusing one of the little girls and perhaps was attacked or trying to escape from his home, we will never know but I would like to know if the other young girl was ok and the story behind her being at his house. Pigs like this do make ur stomach turn. I noticed the judge didn't mention the abduction and abuse of the poor girl found in his home during the final statement. Is this because there was a seperate trial and sentence for that case, or did he fail to include her?
Tales of twisted a$$holes like this have become way too common over the years. I'm not sure if it's because it's happening more, or if it's because we're hearing about it more due to the far reach of the internet.
But either way,, monitor your neighbours people. You never know what kind of pigs may live on your street. If something doesn't seem right, it can't hurt to call the cops and share your concerns. After all, you just may save a life. 👍

Basically anyone can do this disgusting act to a child and most victims don't get justice because by the time most children have told a safe adult their is no proof, the simple truth is most of us blame ourselves when victimised by a trusted adult or scared for many reasons so be careful with everyone Basically it's so sad but it's true.

    7:35 Close Rachel.
It's often not just some teen posting an ad on a dating site. It's the family posting the ad, or one of the agencies hired by the family. The family (or agency) will tell her what to say or type it during chats for her (pretending to be her).
They marry their daughters off to older men once they chat for a while and establish that the man has money. Doesn't need to be rich, just comfortable (own home, longterm stable job, etc). Then the older man must go meet the teen and the family and have a chance to fall for her.
Then the family will negotiate a price for the teen and marriage (often many thousands up front, followed by monthly ongoing payments). The bulk payment is to be paid before she can be married and leave with the older man.
When they say their daughter is the hope for the family. It's referring to she is the one more likely to be attractive to older men. Therefore able to get out of the country and send money back to the family. This is usually done while she is in her late teens, as they are legal to be wed in any country but often still look young. Some families will give the teen a say if she wants to marry the older man (with much pressure put on her to do so). But for many teens, they will have no say once the family decides and must go live this life set out for her to support the family. This often puts a lot of pressure on the teen to remain silent about abuse and poor treatment. The money paid for the teen often creates a sense of ownership for many of these older men. This combined with geographical isolation from the family is what generally lead to the controlling behaviour.
Additionally she is encouraged to work whenever possible to provide additional income to send back to the family. After all, she now has a nice home in a foreign country, so why does she need more money (or so the thought goes). This goes on until the husband stops providing money to send back to support her family. At that point, she will discuss with her family back home and get the ok to leave. If she is working ok, otherwise must get a job. This often makes things hard for these young woman, and they are encouraged to find another financially secure older man asap to marry as the family is back home waiting to get paid.
That was the story from one young Philippines lady I read a little while back.
It puts them in a tough position that's for sure.

No one should judge benlynn. Her lifestyle isnt as common in the USA (it is though) but its an incredibly normal, well established way of life in other parts of the world. Most of the time friendship grows into mutual respect and mutual respect turns into love. Both parties are grown people that do genuinely try to make the other person happy and do genuinely love and fight for eachother not with eachother. Yes, its different then what u or i know but as i get older i recognize more and more the benefits for both people involved. And as long as no ones in it to control hurt or murder another human then who are we to judge?

Actually it is partly on the family who had more likely than not encouraged their daughter to look for an older man from another culture so that they can be supported. Her situation started there, then she put her needs for money before the welfare of her daughter....once a mom men should be off your radar. High end men are not looking for women w. kids from another man, they can't present them at the corporate social events.
I have a freind who has told me how this works. As a more or less purchased bride herself, she got lucky with the man who came to meet her , the family & next thing you know they are being set up to have sex in her parents' home....then he visits again (there are rules about how m any times the men come to spend money, I mean time before they can marry & export the 'bride'. ) and a year later she is living in my province. 2 other women from her community live in the South Shore, did not fare so well w. the men who bought them, i mean brought them. One especially nasty. The other aspect with all the money her husband allows to be sent back home she was quite upset that their need never shrunk & when she visited she saw that they lived extremely laidback lives despite her hard work as a good wife to a Canadian business man w. our cultural high standards of cleanliness in big houses, big yards etc. Before the internet they were called Mail Order Brides she told me.

She used a man to get UK citizenship and had a baby for the same reason and to get a place to live here in the UK its a common tactic - Mail Order Brides do this all the time they divorce and dump the man as soon as they get citizenship then they move out on thier own and find a new guy with more money more opportunity - Every move is calculated with these women its not about love its about opportunity - She is a user and the only people im sorry for is the children who are innocent.Dont use people just to get money and citizenship and do not have babies just to aquire a home - RIP to the baby and Best wishes to the young victim ❤

yes the poor men have no idea what they're doing. they're absolutely not willingly paying for these complete strangers company, no they fell in genuine love 2 seconds after reading their ads. lmfao I do agree with you. m.n are truly that stupid, they're too dumb to protect themselves we should put laws in place that they can't make financial decisions without the approval of their mothers. they're just too unintelligent and vulnerable to protect themselves otherwise. no man on planet earth would EVER Google "young single moms living in areas of poverty" with the intention of exploiting somebody starving and vulnerable. nooo they search those things because they're in LOVE with these women they don't even know exist yet

I am someone who is highly allergic to all steroids including cortisone. Everytime doctors don't listen and inject me with a steroid claiming it's just a nerve block or something else the reaction is worse. The last time when I was injected with kenalog and told it was a nerve block I developed steroidal induced psychosis. I have very little memory starting about 3 hours after the injection. Until almost 4 days later when I was coming out of it. When I found myself strapped to a bed in a psych ward. I only have the stories from the people that were around me when it was going on to know what happened. Apparently my boyfriend at the time called the doctor's office back and they said get her to the ER immediately don't wait for an ambulance. And from what I was told that was quite a harrowing drive with neighbors trying to restrain me. I'm 5 ft 3 and at the time weigh 112 lbs. There is absolutely zero way somebody would be able to go to the store and purchase something if they were experiencing steroidal psychosis. And from what the medical doctors have explained to me the psychosis doesn't stop until the majority of the steroids have worn off. Which takes days not hours even for a small dose.
