I’m an Apple fan but I prefer beats over AirPods…I use iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch but I prefer my Beats Studio pro over my AirPods Pro 2, the sound quality is better on the beats (I like the deep bass)
You didn’t really tell us why the max is better other than build quality and the Digital Crown. Sound quality was really glossed over and is by far the most important thing when reviewing headphones.
It really isn't. Most people can't even tell the difference between good sound quality and bad sound quality. The experience of using the headphones is more important overall, as long as the sound quality is at least in the same ballpark.

Creaky noises?? Ugh seriously dude, I’ve had both. I really liked the APMax, but they were just too heavy and squeezed my head too much. The fatigue effect was much worse on those. I ended up selling mine back.. The Beats 40 hour capacity, god forbid you have to take them on a trip with you, the APMx are so gross, they just take too much room. Beats are definitely a better buy. The Quality is actually pretty good. It’s surprisingly good.

I haven't tried the Studio Pros, but I did compare the Apple AirPods Max with the Sony WH-1000XM4, and I ended up returning the Apple ones. I just couldn't justify the price it's almost double, but the sound quality doesn't warrant the extra cost. I use Apple devices, but the lack of EQ control on the AirPods Max was disappointing. Sorry, Greg, but a double price doesn't mean twice the audio quality.
I haven’t tried the new studio pros but the auto switching is definitely on the old solo pros from like 4yrs ago. Mine switch between my iPhone and iPad flawlessly.
Reviewer just get it all wrong, beats headphone have a specific market, they are better for workout and just over all jamming for music , easy fold and toss in bag.Not everyone listening to hear every dam note, could you imagine someone going to a concert and complaining the don't hear the symbols. I put my studio on crank the tune and start dancing...and if they fall off because my head bopping to hard, I don't have worry about them getting scratched..and they look pretty as hell..what I mean by wrong, these are not a replacement for the max, they are target to a different consumer who are not caring or have different needs, and dont care about the extra crap
Facts your right the hell if I’m wearing my max but the beats I can rock at the gym out door runs etc they really got it twisted. I have both I can confirm they came along way the sound signature is close to the max. Definitely better then the old beats and the bass sounds cleaner this time around.
Reviewer isn’t wrong. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I actually owned these for a week but ultimately took them back for many of the same reasons mentioned in this review. If you love it then great! But missing the Apple specific features and lower build quality was enough for me to pass and wait on AirPods Max Gen 2

The Beats look like they have some good unique features, but the build quality, the ANC, and the transparent mode are behind the AirPods Max. For rivaling some very good cheaper wireless headphones I looked into the Sonys and B&W and all fall short in one or the other way, however, the Sennheiser Momentum 4 wireless nearly beats the Airpods Max in all categories for half the price. They have better build quality than the Beats or Sonys. They have longer Battery life with ANC (60 hours) easy usage, Easy on and off, Very good sound and ANC and transparent mode, good telephone/microphone quality, wind resistance (noise when having a call outside). They have all the cables to be used with 3.5mm USB-C. The only thing they lack is digital data over 48 KHz it seems that is possible with the Beats.
I have tried the beats studio pro ! And guess what! The noise cancellation is awful! You need to maximize the volume to isolate yourself from the surrounding noise specially if you are planning to use them in the gym ! I don’t recommend it!

I love my AirPods Max. I wished I got it earlier as I was skeptical with apple gadget but man they are great !! I will buy them again if they released AirPods Max v2. I don’t think it’s overpriced but it’s not cheap.

My daughter bought the AirPod max’s and I told her she was wasting her money, you’d never hear the difference compared to my Beats Pro max. I was wrong. The sound quality difference is amazing. And I’d say yes, it does justify the price difference. That being said, I use mine working out; and don’t think I would use hers for that purpose.
I love Beats reviews like this. Beats were made and designed around hip-hop music. Thus, Beats by Dre was the original name. This guy said the clarity is "muddy". In my culture, we call it bass heavy, which is the core of hip-hop music. Also, why 95% of your athletes and a specific culture choose Beats over all these other headphones focusing on noise canceling, acoustics, and phone call capability. I see only Beats in every gyms I go to. They are designed to make you feel like you're at a concert while on your head. A smarter, better build quality (they are headphones), and a bulky ugly headphone (let's be honest) is not worth paying $200 more. You can find a cheaper headphones to accomplish what the Airpod Max do. If you're looking for a powerful, concert feeling, better looking, durable headphone for active wear (hiking, walking, working out, OR office work) save $200. I liked my air pods max until they broke and apple wasnt able to fix em after three repairs. Also I like that the beats are android compatible since I recently got the z flip 5. Both good but I will go with beats in the future :)
Omg we're exactly the same. I bought the airpods max on Day 1 and broke (disconnects when moving/fixing the headphones on my head) after like a month and I'm the most careful when it comes to my gadgets. Apple tried to repair it but after a week the problem went back. Now I have switched from iPhone to Moto Razr Plus.

I have the studio 3's as well and I love them, so I think y'all will be satisfied with the studio pros :) I think they're more durable than the AirPods Max, but I find my AirPods Max to by more comfortable but not by too much.
3 weeks and the first set lost the right ear. the 2nd set has lasted but... thats probably because I still use all the sony's that fall apart before they quit working.
I think Apple is making this intentionally to Beats, like no wireless charging in beats fit pro & studio buds, no proximity sensor in Beats Studio Pro in 2023, so beats will never be better than Airpods as a whole package 🤷🏻♂️
Personally think Sony makes the best valued headphones overall. Better features overall, friendly to Android users also, like Beats is. AirPods Max are Apple proprietary and extremely overpriced and terribly designed.
Not for apple users, they basically only have 70$ price difference on amazon, airpods max are better at everything compared to xm5 imo I’ve tried both of them, but xm5 has a sliiiightly better noise cancellation, otherwise the airpods max are truly unbeatable with headphones lower that it’s price

I got the Beats Studio 3 headphones. They work great. I could care less about the other crap that the Apple AirPods Max have. I did try the Apple AirPods Max. Don’t get me wrong, the work great. Practically the same shit as Beats Studio 3. No way would I pay $600 for the AirPod Maxs. But the Beats Studio 3’s for $200? I’ll take the Beats Studio 3’s any day. Not because I already have them. But because I’ve tried both.

The buttons aren’t even that bad. I prefer them actually. While i’m walking and i put my hood on while using a touch headphone, my music will sometimes either skip or stop playing. Never had that problem with buttons on my beats. I absolutely love the twist volume button on the max….. and the transparency mode 🤌🏼
I would say you need to first identify what use your going to give to your headphones. If you are someone like me, busy and used them while you are cleaning coocking and exercising, i would go with the beats, they are kuch lighter and don’t fall out of your head which is my problem everytime i have to bend down and i’m sweating.. also if you are going to use them for music i would also pick the beats.. now if you are going to ise them to watch a serie or listen to podcasts while you are sitting down on chill mode then i would pick the apple one… i still miss the beats pro wireless which i would use before going to bed and whenever i felt sleepy, i would kust fold them throw them to the side of my bed and the next day i would unfold them and the would connect automatically to my phone or ipad…

HUGE WARNING for those who are looking to buy AirPods Max and for those who already use them!!! These headphones are made with a MAJOR ISSUE which is CONDENSATION! Check out the comparison of Apple headphones and you will see that because of this MAJOR ISSUE Apple even started to specify the SWEAT PROTECTION (not even water protection) in the MOST EXPENSIVE headphones on the market! Which makes them the MOST UNRELIABLE headphones on the market. The mistake that Apple engineers made is the aluminum cups, which are causing condensation inside the ear cups. I bought my AirPods Max a year ago and now they are DEAD! And if you didn't purchase the Apple Care, than be prepared that the repair cost is going to be almost equal to the price of the new one! I love the way my Airpods Max function except for one thing...they don't fit my head. I must remain still while using or they slide around on my head. If I lean forward, I have to hold the headband in place or they start to come off my head. So if the Beats can stay in place with moderate movement, they will replace my Airpods Max for most use. Give me the lightweight of the Beats Pro with the build of the Airpods ax and I am all in. Why the earpads are not replaceable on the Beats is just insane. If I had my druthers, I wish Apple would put their electronics in a Sennheiser HD600 or HD650.
let address the elephant in the room. when beats came out it target audience was the urban crowd, and the other 20% was the non-urban crowd who loved hardcore dance music. Apple knew Beats was going to be a tough competitor in the future so Apple did what Apple does got rid of the threat. I don't understand why these reviewers are bad mouthing Beats, when they know Apple is never going to bring out or design something new or spectacular for the Beat band. I feel the audio in the AirPods Max is better, the noise canceling is also far superb compared to beats, if your not really into music on a different level (critical listening sessions etc) and are just want something that sounds good they you can with your everywhere then get the beats, Apple changed the game with the max’s though and if your can afford them then grab them

I've seen so many clickbaits that claim Beats Studio Pros are the AirPods Max killers, and in those videos they explain AirPods Max are better at virtually anything, then somehow conclude the Beats are the way to go because they have a "functional case" and USB-C, which makes no sense. Apparently you sound smarter when you choose anything over AirPods Max.
Nah chill there not AirPod max killers but the sound is close to the AirPods Max 40 hours foldable transparency dolby and lossless audio. These hit better for outdoors and gym other reviewers are over hyping it but does not mean there completely wrong they do sound good clear you have to adjust the eq settings in Apple Music app to flat or late night to get more loudness and clarity.
I like the video. I use my AirPods Pro when I cut the grass and keep some privacy from my wife watching her video’s. I just recently had been on vacation. While flying multiple times, I had seen passengers wearing different types of headphones and I would see some AirPods Max headphones. Since it is expected that Apple would be getting a new version of the Max out soon, I looked at Best Buy and was able to purchase a Certified Geek Squad Refurbished AirPods Max for $379. Got them in last Wednesday and they sound great and look great with no marks. Thanks for posting this video. It made me feel comfortable about my purchase.
I owned Beats Studio Pro previously and now using APM : I do prefer the sound signature of Beats and the ability to use lossless audio via USB-C (which is a hidden power feature if you are a PC user). But to me, APM is superior in all other categories : build quality, look, ANC, Transparency. Beats Studio Pro is an "affordable" substitute product of APM
Wait... the AirPods Max are still $550 plus tax but the Beats Studio Pro is always on BestBuy at least $170 plus tax. Beats is a much better value and basically does all the same things AirPods Max does but waaaaay less price.
That’s the issue I’m having I don’t want it to make my head look too big. Also, I want it to be comfortable to the point where it doesn’t give me a headache because certain headphones will be too tight on my head.
I bought the Studio Pro in blue when they first came out and I love them. I just bought a second pair of the Kim Kardashians version in “Moon” just because I love the color.
I have the AirPods Max and go the Beats today. As soon as I put them on I decided to return them. The ear cups are too small and my ears don't fit inside the cups. AirPods Max are the better headphone. The only advantage for the Beats is that they fold which is nice.
What you did is basically explain how the airpods max are better than the beats (while emphasizing solely on built quality and pretty much ignoring important points that are the very reason for buying headphones in the first place) Anyway, we know that the airpods max are better than the beats, but you didn't address value, are the airpods max really worth 200$ more or 57% more, I don't think so, especially since you only took into consideration the built quality Conclusion guys, (I've tried em both btw) if money isn't an issue, go for the airpods max without thinking twice, if you think you can do *much* better things with that 200$, go for the beats even if you prefer the airpods max trust me
After having my maxes for less than a year and not able to charge them or update them the price point is ridiculous. When they work they were great but the software is too janky to justify replacing them to just have it happen again.
These are the most high maintenance, queen bee, spoiled brat type of complaints lol. $500 headphones that are trash at the first sign of sweat? Done. I’ll put up with the rest of the “creeky buttons” in order to have longevity in a great pair of headphones.

It just shows how lazy humans has become that they are willing to pay $300 to 400 additional dollars just so they don't have to push pause when they take their headphones on. Wow! What I understand things like that matter to people so if you're willing to pay that much more then hey that's on you, but for those that think like me these are the iPods Max killers, if they go on a great sale though I'll pick them up
Keep in mind, a few times a year, you can buy the Beats for $180, whereas with the AirPods Max you usually can’t find for less than $400. With Beats being half the price, they are the obvious choice. If you have the money for the AirPods Max, then they’d definitely be worth it. Great video!
All I heard was that you don’t like the creakiness and the plasticky feel. Yeah no the $200-300 price difference on the AirPods Max still isn’t warranted. The fact that the beats are more portable, have usb-c charging, and almost rival the AirPods Max sounds quality it’s a big win.
No comparison in Bluetooth sound quality. the AirPods Max with USB C cannot connect with a wired connection. But the Beats are not in the same audio league.
Lets say AirPods Max are the top position the runner ups have always been Bose QC45, Sony XM5, and now Beats Studio pro and in those 3 all of them are plastic shit feeling and have all around the exact same features. That being the case with price in consideration I believe you'd still take the beats over the Bose or Sony.

Personally I’m scarred by beats I’ve gone through SO MANY of them since I was in high school cuz they kept breaking or just malfunctioning internally, I even won a pair from college and those didn’t last long at all and they were the latest ones at the time. I even have the studios now and honestly I’m disappointed with the sound and the left cup has been giving me trouble for a while. They may be expensive but at least with the metal build quality the max’s might last a while

I have tried the beats studio pro ! And guess what! The noise cancellation is awful! You need to maximize the volume to isolate yourself from the surrounding noise specially if you are planning to use them in the gym ! I don’t recommend it!

My daughter bought the AirPod max’s and I told her she was wasting her money, you’d never hear the difference compared to my Beats Pro max. I was wrong. The sound quality difference is amazing. And I’d say yes, it does justify the price difference. That being said, I use mine working out; and don’t think I would use hers for that purpose.

I love Beats reviews like this. Beats were made and designed around hip-hop music. Thus, Beats by Dre was the original name. This guy said the clarity is "muddy". In my culture, we call it bass heavy, which is the core of hip-hop music. Also, why 95% of your athletes and a specific culture choose Beats over all these other headphones focusing on noise canceling, acoustics, and phone call capability. I see only Beats in every gyms I go to. They are designed to make you feel like you're at a concert while on your head.
A smarter, better build quality (they are headphones), and a bulky ugly headphone (let's be honest) is not worth paying $200 more. Omg we're exactly the same. I bought the airpods max on Day 1 and broke (disconnects when moving/fixing the headphones on my head) after like a month and I'm the most careful when it comes to my gadgets. Apple tried to repair it but after a week the problem went back. Now I have switched from iPhone to Moto Razr Plus.
@@erborianrn4599 I'm surprised that both of yours broke. Mine have been going strong since November of 2021 and I've been having 0 issues with them. However, I might just be lucky. I have the studio 3's as well and I love them, so I think y'all will be satisfied with the studio pros :) I think they're more durable than the AirPods Max, but I find my AirPods Max to by more comfortable but not by too much.

3 weeks and the first set lost the right ear. the 2nd set has lasted but... thats probably because I still use all the sony's that fall apart before they quit working.
I think Apple is making this intentionally to Beats, like no wireless charging in beats fit pro & studio buds, no proximity sensor in Beats Studio Pro in 2023, so beats will never be better than Airpods as a whole package 🤷🏻♂️

Personally think Sony makes the best valued headphones overall. Better features overall, friendly to Android users also, like Beats is. AirPods Max are Apple proprietary and extremely overpriced and terribly designed.
Not for apple users, they basically only have 70$ price difference on amazon, airpods max are better at everything compared to xm5 imo I’ve tried both of them, but xm5 has a sliiiightly better noise cancellation, otherwise the airpods max are truly unbeatable with headphones lower that it’s price

The Sonys have a more studio sound then the maxs like if I’m mixing music I’d use the Sonys but I wouldn’t use Bluetooth to do that anyway
I got the Beats Studio 3 headphones. They work great. I could care less about the other crap that the Apple AirPods Max have. I did try the Apple AirPods Max. Don’t get me wrong, the work great. Practically the same shit as Beats Studio 3. No way would I pay $600 for the AirPod Maxs. But the Beats Studio 3’s for $200? I’ll take the Beats Studio 3’s any day. Not because I already have them. But because I’ve tried both.

The buttons aren’t even that bad. I prefer them actually. While i’m walking and i put my hood on while using a touch headphone, my music will sometimes either skip or stop playing. Never had that problem with buttons on my beats. I absolutely love the twist volume button on the max….. and the transparency mode 🤌🏼
I would say you need to first identify what use your going to give to your headphones. If you are someone like me, busy and used them while you are cleaning coocking and exercising, i would go with the beats, they are kuch lighter and don’t fall out of your head which is my problem everytime i have to bend down and i’m sweating.. also if you are going to use them for music i would also pick the beats.. now if you are going to ise them to watch a serie or listen to podcasts while you are sitting down on chill mode then i would pick the apple one… i still miss the beats pro wireless which i would use before going to bed and whenever i felt sleepy, i would kust fold them throw them to the side of my bed and the next day i would unfold them and the would connect automatically to my phone or ipad…

I love the way my Airpods Max function except for one thing...they don't fit my head. I must remain still while using or they slide around on my head. If I lean forward, I have to hold the headband in place or they start to come off my head. So if the Beats can stay in place with moderate movement, they will replace my Airpods Max for most use. Give me the lightweight of the Beats Pro with the build of the Airpods ax and I am all in. Why the earpads are not replaceable on the Beats is just insane. If I had my druthers, I wish Apple would put their electronics in a Sennheiser HD600 or HD650.

Apple knew Beats was going to be a tough competitor in the future so Apple did what Apple does got rid of the threat. I don't understand why these reviewers are bad mouthing Beats, when they know Apple is never going to bring out or design something new or spectacular for the Beat band. I feel the audio in the AirPods Max is better, the noise canceling is also far superb compared to beats, if your not really into music on a different level (critical listening sessions etc) and are just want something that sounds good they you can with your everywhere then get the beats, Apple changed the game with the max’s though and if your can afford them then grab them

I've seen so many clickbaits that claim Beats Studio Pros are the AirPods Max killers, and in those videos they explain AirPods Max are better at virtually anything, then somehow conclude the Beats are the way to go because they have a "functional case" and USB-C, which makes no sense. Apparently you sound smarter when you choose anything over AirPods Max.

Nah chill there not AirPod max killers but the sound is close to the AirPods Max 40 hours foldable transparency dolby and lossless audio. These hit better for outdoors and gym other reviewers are over hyping it but does not mean there completely wrong they do sound good clear you have to adjust the eq settings in Apple Music app to flat or late night to get more loudness and clarity.
I like the video. I use my AirPods Pro when I cut the grass and keep some privacy from my wife watching her video’s. I just recently had been on vacation. While flying multiple times, I had seen passengers wearing different types of headphones and I would see some AirPods Max headphones. Since it is expected that Apple would be getting a new version of the Max out soon, I looked at Best Buy and was able to purchase a Certified Geek Squad Refurbished AirPods Max for $379. Got them in last Wednesday and they sound great and look great with no marks. Thanks for posting this video. It made me feel comfortable about my purchase.
The Beats Studio were selling at 50% off in December…that was an insanely good value at that price point.
I owned Beats Studio Pro previously and now using APM : I do prefer the sound signature of Beats and the ability to use lossless audio via USB-C (which is a hidden power feature if you are a PC user).
But to me, APM is superior in all other categories : build quality, look, ANC, Transparency. Beats Studio Pro is an "affordable" substitute product of APM

Wait... the AirPods Max are still $550 plus tax but the Beats Studio Pro is always on BestBuy at least $170 plus tax. Beats is a much better value and basically does all the same things AirPods Max does but waaaaay less price.
AirPods Max have serious condensation and Bluetooth issues. They sound incredible - but make sure you get AppleCare+ because you’re going to need it.
That’s the issue I’m having I don’t want it to make my head look too big. Also, I want it to be comfortable to the point where it doesn’t give me a headache because certain headphones will be too tight on my head.

I bought the Studio Pro in blue when they first came out and I love them. I just bought a second pair of the Kim Kardashians version in “Moon” just because I love the color.

I have the AirPods Max and go the Beats today. As soon as I put them on I decided to return them. The ear cups are too small and my ears don't fit inside the cups. AirPods Max are the better headphone. The only advantage for the Beats is that they fold which is nice.

What you did is basically explain how the airpods max are better than the beats (while emphasizing solely on built quality and pretty much ignoring important points that are the very reason for buying headphones in the first place) Anyway, we know that the airpods max are better than the beats, but you didn't address value, are the airpods max really worth 200$ more or 57% more, I don't think so, especially since you only took into consideration the built quality
Conclusion guys, (I've tried em both btw) if money isn't an issue, go for the airpods max without thinking twice, if you think you can do *much* better things with that 200$, go for the beats even if you prefer the airpods max trust me

After having my maxes for less than a year and not able to charge them or update them the price point is ridiculous. When they work they were great but the software is too janky to justify replacing them to just have it happen again.
I bought a set of studio pro’s, sent them straight back, the amount of clamping force they had made them unbearable to wear after 15 minutes
The first beat studios I swore were with heavier material…I think the plastic is not bad weight wise, thank good I got A 2 yr warranty

The ear cups are not permanent on the beats they actually pop off if you need to replace them. Shows how much this 🤡 actually knows about headphones.

These are the most high maintenance, queen bee, spoiled brat type of complaints lol. $500 headphones that are trash at the first sign of sweat? Done. I’ll put up with the rest of the “creeky buttons” in order to have longevity in a great pair of headphones.

Keep in mind, a few times a year, you can buy the Beats for $180, whereas with the AirPods Max you usually can’t find for less than $400. With Beats being half the price, they are the obvious choice. If you have the money for the AirPods Max, then they’d definitely be worth it. Great video!

All I heard was that you don’t like the creakiness and the plasticky feel. Yeah no the $200-300 price difference on the AirPods Max still isn’t warranted. The fact that the beats are more portable, have usb-c charging, and almost rival the AirPods Max sounds quality it’s a big win.

I tried the Beats, and the Transparency mode is so trash, compared to AirPods Pro Gen 1 and 2. It will make it hard to hear anything and everything.

No comparison in Bluetooth sound quality. the AirPods Max with USB C cannot connect with a wired connection. But the Beats are not in the same audio league.
Lets say AirPods Max are the top position the runner ups have always been Bose QC45, Sony XM5, and now Beats Studio pro and in those 3 all of them are plastic shit feeling and have all around the exact same features. That being the case with price in consideration I believe you'd still take the beats over the Bose or Sony.

Personally I’m scarred by beats I’ve gone through SO MANY of them since I was in high school cuz they kept breaking or just malfunctioning internally, I even won a pair from college and those didn’t last long at all and they were the latest ones at the time. I even have the studios now and honestly I’m disappointed with the sound and the left cup has been giving me trouble for a while. They may be expensive but at least with the metal build quality the max’s might last a while
