Hey all! I know that I left out a LOT of businesses including a lot of local spots. Please mention your favorites in the comments! Want to see more of these videos for other areas in Montgomery County, MD? Put a request in the comments!
@@Juice-jx1pr Rockville just reopened their new skate park. Germantown has a pump course as well. A friend of mine is spearheading efforts to create a Frederick pump track as well! A lot of the street skating spots have been rendered non-skate friendly over the years, but I know spots still exist depending on your willingness to jump fences. If you're looking to cruise around, there are several great neighborhoods with good pavement and even walkways that aren't on the road.
Wonderful video. Very well explained. We lived in Germantown until 2020 and my kids were quite pleased to relive memories of these streets by watching this
Great video. One of the things I love doing is driving around towns and exploring all the different spots, stores, parks, houses, imagining what it would be like to live there along the way. Honestly I don't have the time to do that as much anymore, this video was like getting to do that from home. Really enjoyed watching this. Also I've never been to Germantown so it was nice seeing a new place.
Thank you so much for shaing that! I do the same! It's really fascinating putting yourself in other people's places. It gives you perspective. When I was a musician traveling the world, doing that was one of my favorite parts of being on tour. We have another one coming out soon for Poolesville, MD! Just need to record the voiceover. : )
Thanx for the walk down Memory Lane. My wife and I owned a Brazilian Coffee House in Germantown and served coffee at the inauguration of the Germantown Public Library. As a matter of fact my daughter used to work at Top Golf and now works for an International Dental Lab in the same area. The snow brought back memories too since we moved to Northeastern Brazil and we don`t get snow.😎
Thank you so much for the heartwarming comment, and congratulations to your daughter! That's so cool about the coffee shop! Are you guys still in the coffee business? We're anticipating the first "snow" (more like rainy snow) soon. We'll be sure to make a snowman for you guys! Where was your old shop located?
@@hawthomes Much Thanx for the Snow Man. If you google Aqui Brazilian Coffee / You Tube you will see our 15 second commercial. My wife and I are both retired. She does landscaping and gardening for her very large compound (3 houses). I sit on my tush waiting for the Brazilian Government to process my Permanent Residency by Spouse Visa, so I can return to the USA and get my UA-cam gear to start my UA-cam channel.😎
Suggestions: I ran across a few "End of Lakeforest Mall" video's. A video on Shopping and Entertainment in Montgomery County now that Lakeforest is gone would be cool.😎
@@hawthomesIt was some kind of huge work party my girlfriend boss and all the workers and their friends was having... it was cool, I loved the food more than anything though. I broke my favorite watch that night by hitting it by accident with a golf club. I also played topgolf a few times in Myrtle Beach, SC. I'm from North Carolina.
Great question! Weather is all over the place in the area. While it's typical to get some snow every winter, the amount depends from season to season. Some years, we'll just have a few days of accumulation while other years, there's a lot of accumulation. However, unlike snowier states like PA, NY, and above, the infrastructure typically isn't as robust for handling large snow storms unless there's plenty of advance notice. The more remote the location/further from DC, the longer you can expect to wait before you get plowed unless you have a local HOA or group that comes with their own trucks + plows. Are you looking to relocate to the area?

@@JohnDoe-wt3pj What kind of spots are you looking for? Parks, bowls, downhill, freestyle, etc?

Back when I was in America I used to live here as a kid so thank you for the beautiful memories you just brought back ❤
My pleasure! It's probably changed a bit since you were last here, but appreciate the positive vibes!

Glad you enjoyed it! The library is completely different on the inside, but the downtown remains largely unchanged. : )

Watch out of dui’s, it’s crazy over there
So many people in such a hurry as well!
I played top golf in Tampa
Nice! How was the overall experience for you?

Any vinyl record stores there ?
None that I'm aware of in town, but you could try Vinyl Acres in Fredrick, MD. Got a few more options as you get closer to DC/VA. : )
@@hawthomes thanks for the info...👍
Awesome video 👍💖
Thank you 🤗
