    I speed some videos up. I slowed this one down to watch the metal flow back into place. Good work. I have a background of body repair and painting. I am currently in auto glass replacement. This PDR really intrigues me. Might be my next venture.

    Nice work Jake, again!
    Literally sitting in my garage staring at a Camaro rear 1/4 with ALMOST the same dent that’s in this video.
    It has 3 side by side impacts in the body line pushing it in 3.2 inches with a width of 13 inches.
    Hit so hard it opened the gap between the trunk and 1/4.
    I’ve been doing PDR for 26 years and I don’t mind saying I still come watch your channel for different approach ideas.
    Thank you for your help Jake.

    • @1st_track_dents
      @1st_track_dents  2 роки тому

      Thanks, although it's strange, looking back at this repair, I would approach it completely differently nowadays using some hot and cold glue, although this was repaired a long time ago before cold glue existed and before hot glues/tabs had been engineered to pull stronger. These types of repair back then had to be done with brute force 💪💪 probably explains why I have neck and wrist issues now!

    • @dingking7577
      @dingking7577 2 роки тому +1

      @@1st_track_dents oh I agree, as I type this wearing a lower back support belt (girdle)😂
      I have cold glue purchased back in January and have yet to use it.
      This one I have actually seems like a good candidate but I’m worried about locking in the impacts.
      I emailed the address in your about section a picture of it.

    Camera angle and lighting makes the repair look better than what it really is, its still full of ripples! and one of the easy panels to fix on a mini, it needed another hour of work but i also fix dents and know what i'm looking at, if the customer is happy then we are happy, that's all that matters at the end of the day.
