I am a grandmother who bought one of those orange pullers yesterday to try my hand at getting a large pushed in area out of my truck back bed panel. Had watched a few videos like this first, and was able to pull 50% out with the first pull. (I am not at all strong) Worked another 20 minutes and got most of the rest of it except an area that has a crease in it as in this case. The truck is a beater, so I am not going to worry about it, but I am happy with what it did and I certainly got my $4 worth.
I am a grandma too, and I am not sure if I should buy it, the dent is worse than this. The problem, when I go to get gasoline, men stop by and say, “ for $350 I fix your car right now. Sorry I don’t have cash. Don’t worry, for $250 I fix it now. Thank you but I don’t have cash now. The last man told me, for $100 I fix it, you can get the money from the amt machine, ….🤔🤔🤔 I said, give me your phone number and I can call you next time. 🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂😂😂 I know $100 is not much but I wasn’t being sure
OMG you have given me the confidence to use my dent puller. I will invest in the mini one I never knew you could get them that small. Finally I can use my own plastic mallet for the first time! Which is a great idea I would never of though of this. Especially in these economical times great video!!
Wow, they do work! I have to do my car too! A heat gun would have worked well. And alternate between heating and dry ice behind some foil. The hot and cold works well to pop out small dents. I would have take out the door panel and pushed that out with my hand or a rubber mallet. They also have rawhide mallets for jewelry that are gentle. Thanks for a great demo!
Did pretty good. Got a new sideline now. I would have removed that term first but you got there. But I have been around it for along time my brother had a body shop until about 3yrs ago when he to decided to retire around 73 or 74. God bless you'll

I was reading reviews on Amazon about these dent pullers, and they weren't very positive, but after watching this, I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for posting this video.
If the dent isnt exactly on a flat surface I wouldnt. Just got mine Friday and sending back. My truck has a dent in the tire well and it will do nothing.
Bought my Chevy Colorado it's a 2004. And bought it for 600 couple months ago. And it's at 186k miles. But to the point I had to use one of these to pull a dent out of my cieling bc a tree had landed on it. It wasn't to bad but it was noticeable it pulled it out right
I'm honestly trying to fix my door and found this and all I gotta say is, what in tarnation is going on ? I went from watching one gentleman having a four step well executed plan to two southern gents making animal noises and extreme grunting when making each pull.🤣🤣🤣 Each shop keeps telling me I need to buy a new door because it "rolled" against some brick and bent the door up to the handle making me nervous I'm going to rip my handle off. I realize, doing this by myself will not get it perfect again, but hear me out. It will cost 3k to replace my door, paint match, and labor costs. I feel like I can try to fix it thanks to these videos, and yes, know it won't be perfect but again, I'm tired of looking at that dent. I hurts my soul with a $445 monthly payment and 2 yrs of memories. So, thanks everyone in these videos for all the laughs while I try to figure this out.
We purchased that same suction pad from Harbor Freight in the Bronx NY to address a pointless dent at rear driverside panel right near the bumper cover. It did a good job on the area furthess from the bumper cover, but we have the same issue with a crease that we now believe that a smaller suction pad will work. Thanks for your suggestion on releasing the pressure on the creases as well.
I fixed my Subaru bumper with Hot water and pressure works a treat .Your dint is to close to a main beam it may work a little but it will not repair %100 .
The quickest way would have been pulling the door panel and hitting it from the inside. The cold metal sure didn't help in removing the creases. Nice job having a lot of fun with a friend.
I would rather try this before pulling everything out from the inside. I’m not sure I would get it back together properly and I’m not looking for more problems
Thanks for testing this! I was in the parking lot of the grocery store and damn if the wind didn't push a shopping cart into the door of my van and dent the hell out of it. But I think I can get it out with this with a little perseverance and a measly $5.
I also used one of these kits: amzn.to/34yiZKM (affiliate link from Stoney Ridge Farmer) it's a Paintless dent and ding remover kit...it will take out small dents very nicely in case the big dent puller doesn't work
@@miketin745 It is a good idea but watch out for paint peeling if it gets too hot. Gently. Wagner $22 at Home Depot. I did my plastic bumper this way with no issues. Popped right out.

May I ask you if a Cold Glue or Hot Glue can be applied to a suction cap to pull a large dent out? I've never seen in any film people using suction caps that way, though I've seen 2x4 wooden blocks used. Thank you for the great and informative film. I didn't know you need to spray a glass cleaner to improve the action of the cup, I'll try that way. Before the cup was attached firmly only to the smooth area, where there is no dent.

I would suggest taking the inside door panel off and pushing the dent out if it's frames in there with holes I suggest using a rubber mallet and a number 2 pencil and bang the eraser end to push it out
A toilet plunger with a little soap works real good on dents, but if theres a crease its hard to get that out with just a plunger. Try using it on your truck.

Since it is cold there it probably would have been a benefit to heat the metal with a propane torch, indirect heat??
The moulding is holding the dent in. Pull the moulding off from right to left to release the dent.
😂😂very fun actitud to fix
