Deca are simply squeezing pennies out of the game from developing world kids who are new to it and don't know any better. That's why their Facebook page has the same comments from non-native English speakers, who have come to game, time and time again, and realised the same things as the previous wave of players and then posted similar criticisms. Deca don't care as they've sifted a few grains of gold from each wave of (now disgruntled) former players.
Rinse and repeat = Profit.
ooof if ever Deca devs see this video. Still to this day, I believe SGL has a huge a potential to branch out. Great video!

The downfall of Shadowgun Legends seriously needs to be studied in mobile gaming history.
Only way I see this turning around is if a competent developer bought this off DECA for cheap and flipped it to its potential. A company who can recognize that deep down there is something special within a game that somehow keeps a player base on the same 4 PVP maps for over 5 years.

It’s crazy how this is STILL the only mobile game that has pve and pvp.. I don’t think the devs realize what they’re missing out on until another mobile game like this comes out and dominates.
Hi. The problem for PVP in SGL, is Madfinger admitted that it was an afterthought and never optimised.
It couldn’t be fixed without rebuilding the whole game, so they gave up and made Wargames🫤

Even without new content, MFG and DECA could have made quality of life changes that would refresh the game. An easy one would be buffing Burst Rifles, a useless class of weapons, and buffing bad abilities like Berserker melee. It would immediately give people new ways to play. But they can’t even do something small like that.

It's such a good game i really had high hope for it I played it religiously from the beginning I got shadowgun of the week for doing real life fun stuff but I guess they did not believe in it as much as the plyrayer basel believed in it also I think it came in a bad time The Battle Royale fever was on PUBG/roll of survival came very close to the shadowgun legend release
the simplest thing that deca could do is a separate pvp mode for squads and a separate one for randoms, it wouldn’t cost them anything, squads are bored with randoms, randoms can’t do anything against experienced players, new players are just bored and they leave or play on planets until they get bored and quit the game
i started playing the game same as you,around April 2020,when I'm still using shitty phones to play it,i got so many in game friends bcs of it,but last year i uninstalled it bcs the same reason for it's downfall,lack of content and update also more and more of my friend levaing this game,but early 2024 i started playing it again when i got new phone,yeah i noticed only small amount of people online now,the only people that loyal to this game,and im proud to be one of them,one of LEGENDS
I loved playing this game back in 2019 with my brother, we both got to rank 27 but after that there wasn't much left to do apart from pvp & events.
Hey Tony, great contents! Keep up the good work. Not only was SGL one of the best mobile games, it also had THE best community. The MADstreams, JHC KOTH tournaments, man... those were good days. I really hope, but honestly don't believe SGL will make a comeback. When the game stops making money, it's time for the devellopers to move on. I'm not mad nor disappointed. It is what it is. Plenty of other games the keep ourselves entertained.
It was the lies that we had issues with. They kept promising us the 4th planet, the hairdressers (a locked building in the hub that would let us change our player face and hair) and all the other unfinished features of the game.
I used to play this game.....A lot, especially during 2021-2022. But unfortunately, in recent years, things have been instantly bad, boring, and just become bad in many ways.
I used to play it in the same period. I often asked the devs of that time if they were adding anything new soon, and their response was always, "Wait".
It feels bad when the game you cared for so much and spent so much time on, just dies.
I was a whale (I paid for lots of stuff) and won several monthly awards for fan art, best armour, etc. However the bugs, server problems, the constantly repeating events (even 2 years after release) and the toxic admin staff for their various social media (some of the admins for their Discord page were caught spawn camping, etc and nothing was done about it, instead the same admin staff were given monthly awards too) all led to me giving up on it. Madfinger couldn't seem to monetise or update Legends, so they took our money and made a PVP hero shooter instead of fixing Legends. When that game failed, they left the mobile industry with their tails between their legs. Deca are simply like Netflix games; they buy up old games (or ones by devs who can't/won't publish to mobile by themselves) for pennies and keep the lights on to extract what little value they can. They don't seem to have ever "updated" any of their acquired games in any noticeable way.
Also, MF's PC title, "Gray Zone" has mixed reviews, garnering around 60%. Reviews have stated that it seems to be a fairly buggy game, which has spent rather a long time in "early access" (so it has many unfinished features) and numerous connectivity issues.
Sound familiar?
I'm sure MF will simply abandon Gray Zone and make a reskinned version of that for PC as another "early access" ad infinitum for the years to come too.

Its an interesting video about Mad Finger Games. I remember when I used to play the Shadowgun Campaign and Deadzone multiplayer and loved it. I a few months ago I bought GrayZone Warfare without looking into how the company is doing currently, man I feel I lost my money. I even tried to get a refund through Steam and got denied twice since the Refund Policy changed to be more stricter. I feel like GrayZone Warfare is going to collapse probably at the same time that Escape from Tarkov will.
I can say that Shadowgun Deadzone also had a hacking problem, since it didn't had a proper functioning anti cheat. I was a cheater myself for some time and it was really easy.
Its cool to see companies try to create something new or reach out of their usual grounds of creation, but at the same time it can make it not worthwhile and end up a disaster. Would not like to see another Anthem situation with the new game, Gray Zone Warfare, or something similar to the P2W DLC's that are in Tarkov.

Its still insane for me how crazzy far mobile games currently are getting. Just look at Arena Breakout for example. Holy shit. Or upcoming Delta Force Shadow Ops.

There is a Division mobile game coming and Warframe mobile is already out. If you like the PvE side of this game then these can probably fill the void. Not sure if either have PvP experiences though
Loved this game! Grind PVE to have killer gear in PVP, simple yet perfect idea. After the Christmas money glitch it was all over, everyone had enough to get all paid content for free. 😢
This game company don't know to make more story, more Activity like other game, and also too many place to spend money and not free, in my account i have 9 box need key to open , but i am poor to buy key Lol
Even for whales, we didn't have enough inventory space (after paying to max it out) for the loot. Also, there were lots of armour and weapon items that they never bothered to sell or update (such as the ones you can get early on in the game) that would have easily allowed them to create "new" content for little or no effort.
I suspect that they didn't have either the staff or that their software/code wasn't good enough to add even more of their own assets to the game).

I used to love this game. It had so much potential. Why was it never given the attention it deserved??? I played apex legends mibile and codm. Neither of those games have the potential that shadowgun has. Shadow game is one of the funnest FPS for mobile but now it's filled with hackers and managed by a company that does not care about it at all.
Therefore the hackers stay. Nothing new comes either
