I sell them and recently pivoted to them more due to the shortage of the coconut blend that I use with candles selling out. I love making candles though, like you said a whole mood, but melts are nice as well and more profitable, for me
Would also add that college students are normally not allowed to have open flames in their dorm, but they are able to have a candle warmer just to keep their dorm smelling good. This was great advice!
I agree. There are SO Many studies, and some of these "studies" are no more than propaganda i.e. "SOY =good, PETROLEUM = bad" opinions. The average person doesn't want to bother with research and logic. Here's ONE article that seems to take a non-biased approach.Doesn't make it "right" ... but it offers a more balanced approach to start from. www.lonestarcandlesupply.com/blog/soy-vs-paraffin-wax/
@@blissfulinda You're right! However "small companies" are no more trustworthy, don't "disclose all their information" and often don't even DO research, but instead, prey/profit on paranoia and propaganda against "big companies." It helps them sell their stuff by seeming as if they are "simple and pure" .. like babies, puppies, daisies and clean streams. None of which are all that simple, pure, or actually CLEAN.
calonstanni I tend to only trust CLP complaint companies. I think the whole idea of small businesses has lost it’s nitch. Small businesses used to be you’re selling and making because you love to! and had a genuine desire to excel in your craft💖 Now people just do it for money in hopes of making money without doing a 9-5
I like wax melts because they simply require a low-watt bulb (safe!) AND because I can change the scent without changing candles. I do kinda like the combination of the tea-light wax melter. it's a 3 hour flame (there's something about candle-light, right? ) with a "punch" of fragrance.
I just came to learn about wax melts, been thinking about buying one because it seems more sustainable/eco-friendly. Did NOT expect a candle business how to!!! I just subbed! You're so knowledgeable and kind to teach others if they have/want to have their own business!
We have the same first name! Mine is spelled Parris... your videos are so very informative. I love candles and I’m a newbie to candle making just ordered my starter kit I’m super excited!
You have a absolutely amazing business concept. I love how you explain and present your product in your video’s......I wish you the best of success and will support your business and share with all my friends and family. 🙏 ❤️❤️❤️
ok, I am just learning but have been doing a lot of research, working on my first batches I was finding that the temperature in the room dropped and that small batch frosted, so have found to keep temperature even and make sure I am leaving clamshells open until fully cold helped so much with elminating much of the frosting... this is with usiing colour which was added just before fragrance, then letting wax cool to the pouring temperature. I am looking to fully launch in a few weeks with Clamshells, Shot Pots (samples) and Soy Waffle Melts, so I have 3 different sizes available...
When I launch my line I will have 3 different types of wax melts. The normal clamshells, various shaped melts (currently I have double hearts, Rose's, butterflies, n more) and I make melts in 2oz condiment containers n put sprinkles on them to make them pretty. I use color in my melts n candles. Yes that frosting is aggravating but I just had to get use to it n im including a note about it on my website n in their package.
I love your videos! I currently use a parasoy wax for my melts and wanted to try the soy tart mix from candle science, how long do you cure your melts using this particular wax?
Hi! How do you determine if your candles and wax melts are strong enough? Is there a certain standard to classify your products as being "strong"? TIA!
Ebony Cabrera Hello! It’s just personal preference! I use soy; so I know going in that it’s not going to pack a strong strong punch. So based on the FO percentage, it’s just personal satisfaction.
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo thanks for the reply! I also use soy and I know its not the best for scent throw but do you disclose that to your customers? Or have you had any situations where you would have to explain it, such as complaints? I'm just really nervous lol
Hello, I've been watching your videos and I really enjoy them. Good work. I'm just starting out on candle making and I wanted to order the kit from candle science but unfortunately I can't do that because I live in Nigeria. Is there any other kit you can recommend? I'm looking forward to your reply. Thank you.
Hi first I wanna say love your channel ive learned so much. I'm starting my own business and candles will be one of the items i will be providing. I've never made a candles before and after doing so much research im getting nervous. I was invited to be apart of a pop-up shop in a month and i am freaking out. I want to make the wax melts for the the pop-up shop i dnt think my order from candles science will get here quickly enough to make them so i have to use Amazon and im not sure of which wax to use. Can you help me please?
Have you ever made a candle?! You are welcome to use whatever wax you are comfortable with. I’ve only worked with Golden Brands 464 Soy Wax and Coconut Soy Wax which I’m sure you can find both on Amazon 👍🏽🥰 Good luck with the pop up! That’s exciting!
Do you like wax melts? Do you currently sell them? Let's chat!

I sell them :) May I add my link?
Why doesn't my wax melts harden? Only the top is harden. The bottom is still in its liquid form. I have no idea why.
Can I use soy wax for a wax melt
You will use soy tart wax

Paraffin is not toxic. I don’t understand the demonization of paraffin. Please people do your own research.
Big companies don't disclose all their information. And there's great and safer alternatives.
Share some links!

Rita Slone Awesome!
Do you know anything about drop-shipping warmers? I had an idea of having them available with the wax melts 🤔
BigBoi Philly unfortunately I do not🙂
Hi do you know how to fix frosting on wax melts? Thanks for your answer
Hello! Try pouring at a lower temp.
I do not understand. Don't these just burn off within a few minutes and then just have to throw away the melted wax?
Why can't wax melts be used to make scented candles? Are wax melts and candle wax the same?
what brand candle warmer do you use! any suggestions from you or the group..
thank youuuu
hi would like to know how can we remove the silicon mould from the previous scent being use? thanks
Thank you
what kind of wax can you use for wax melts?
Hi there what causes the wax melts to have frost ?
pouring at too high temp,
I love your videos! I currently use a parasoy wax for my melts and wanted to try the soy tart mix from candle science, how long do you cure your melts using this particular wax?
Roma Lee-Daniel They cute as long as needed or until orders come in! At least a few days👍🏽

Ebony Cabrera No🙂 My customers prefer a natural wax and in haven’t had any complaints.
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo awesome! Thank you. That's my logic! Natural is better
Is wax melt better then tea light candles? What do you think?
Wax melts are definitely more stronger in releasing scent👍🏽

Any candle supplier has kits. I’m not sure if they deliver international. You will just have to Google and see👍🏽
@@LadyCIMONNECandleCo Alright, thank you very much.
I just want to know whrn to change them? How long can you melt one before smell goes away
Once it’s melted you can put a new one on
Question were do you get the warning labels from?
Candle Science
Do you think it is possible to make wax melts skin safe? So that you can massage the wax/oil on to your skin.
I'm not sure. There are skin safe products out there if you want to do that. I wouldn't recommend using wax on your skin.
Beginner here. Can wax melts be made with essential oils?
Yes! :)
The discontinued the golden wax melt on candle science 😫 what else do you recommend?
I order mine from The Flaming Candle🙂
