I got sick of spending alot on these and decided to save some money and make my own. I believe it has backfired, a lot of my family are requesting them now LOL. I like your tutorials on making them strong, as I love the really strong scented tarts. They fill the whole home and smell so great!
Same here! It costs so much but I love my scents. I haven't started yet though. Is there anything you recommend?
I don't normally watch these types of videos but this I really liked. You were very detailed and made it look so simple. Now I want to make some!
Thanks for making this video. I'm wanting to get into candle and melt making. I had no idea you could put candy sprinkles on wax. Thanks for showing your process.
Oh my gosh the carmelized sugar topping and sprinkles is genius! I have to make these♥️
Thanks SO much! This is exactly what I was looking for! Answered all my questions! 😁 In my case though, for home use I always put the same amount in my melter every time (three tabs). So I will try to find some small, round puck mold to make a one use piece! Again, thank you for taking the time to post this video!!!
First time watching a how to make a wax melt video and I admit, I’m hooked and can’t wait to try this at home!!!!! What a GREAT video and keep up the excellent job. Subscribed before the video was halfway done 😊😊😊
Thank you Sherry!! I am glad this video inspired you! Let me know, how yours turn out!
I love how well behaved the dog is in the background
I love how clean her hobbs are 😂
@@royalnavyveteran3164😅
I love that you're using a cocktail spoon. That's exactly what I ordered for my business!
Awesome easy instructions. I plan on making these. Thanks for sharing
Just found your channel today and subscribed. I was in the madness of BBW candle day and said there has got to be a better way. Candle-making will definitely be something I will explore in 2020! Thank you for the awesome tutorial.
Very nice tutorial. I was a little curios about these and now I'm very curious about them.
Thank you for the instructions! No more commercial wax melts from now on! 🙏
I cannot wait to try this!! Thank you.
Your video is very informative. I'm learning alot. Thank you
I love your videos and I'm really into the wax tarts at the moment. Your presentations are so detailed and helpful and the end results is so beautiful...and tasty looking haha. I'm trying to catch up on my commenting, it's difficult for me as my computer is broken.
Thank you for this indepth and easy to follow tutorial. I inherited over 75+ fragrances and wanted to make melts so thanks a bunch!
You are welcome! 75 fragrance oils is a gold mine!
Me too, I have a bunch of scents I can't use in soaps and butters
I love Candle Science Oils. I usually just pick up from them in NC.
Thank you for this step by step tutorial. I’m looking forward to adding candle melts to my store soon!
That's cool that you hit the scents heavy, so tired of buying wax melts that fool ya with a nice scent but lack in performance, which is why I'm here to start doing it myself. Thanks
I opted to just leave the wax in the warmer and add the candle oil to it with an eye dropper
Thank you so much for sharing, those are so pretty and I can only imagine the scent😊
Thank you! The scent is awesome!
That was an excellent video that you put together I want to make wax melt and I’m glad I saw your video you explained it everything just perfect and your melts came out beautiful I’m going to give it a try I am a first time viewer
Wow, your video was very informative. Thank you so much. I was wondering, where did you find your electric handheld thermometer?
Thankyou so much, im purchasing everything you have mentioned in this video..fingers crossed all goes well 😊
I’ve had horrible luck making wax melts for some reason. I followed the instructions and every time, they don’t smell like anything. I’ve been recycling my screw-ups into fire starters for our camping trips and for lighting the wood burner 😂 Just add sawdust! After watching this like 3 times, I purchased all the stuff you use and I’m going to give it another try. I think my biggest mistake was using essential oils instead of fragrance oils. Thanks for this comprehensive video!
Love the video have you used anything else besides pillar of bliss for your wax melts since this video
I loved your video simple n organized. Thank you💐
thank you!
Great information! Your tips help! I noticed suddenly I get lots of 5 minute ads I can’t skip! Longer than your tutorial. Love your desugns! Thank you.
I USE YOUR METHOD AND THE PILLAR OF BLISS WAX, HOWEVER WITH THIS AMOUNT OF FO, IT CAN BE VERY EXPENSIVE. I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS. MUCH CONTINUED SUCCESS. I JUST LOVE TYPING IN CAPS NOTHING MEANT BY IT! JUST BETTER FOR MY EYEYS
Thanks so much for this wonderful video. What was the.cost to make the 8 clamshells? Thank you.
Very awesome tutorial. Do you suggest a certain starter kit or certain supplies to get started making these?
I’m wanting to start my own business with candles and candle wax and this is a wonderful video I’m inspired to recreate this one and I hope you don’t mind me copying 😂
Just finished watching the video and LOVE it!!! I use the tarts way more than actual candles. Did u get the clam shell tart containers on amazon? Ordering a kit to help me get started making my own wax melts and soooo excited! I am also interested in making soaps too:-) thank you for the video.
You are welcome! I got the clam shell containers at natures garden candles.
Very informative video of step-by-step step! I want to make my own wax cubes for myself as I buy them constantly and their getting pricey. Is the cost to net ratio for tge supllies balanced or is it a great savings? I've always thought burning wax on a stove is dangerous has the wax changed or am I being old school? Thanks
Love your videos! Thanks so much!
Great, straightforward tutorial! I'm going to try these.
I absolutely love these!! 😍
Thank you!
Such a great tutorial thank you...
I love you method, easy and simple!!!
thank you!
This is awesome, thank you for such detailed and fun tutorials! Is the pillar of joy wax discontinued all of a sudden? I noticed that it's no longer up on their website. Do you have another wax recommendation for making melts? Thank you!
Hi, I have noticed sometimes when this company is sold out of something, temporarily it will be off of their website. You should email them and ask when it will be back in stock.
They look delish!♡
WOMAN you are amazing. I've learned so much watching you. Thanks so much for educating and teaching us all because you didn't have to do this and you certainly aren't obligated! I will be purchasing some products from you this week!
Thank you so much!!
i love this video and instructions. but omg that stirring with that metal spoon in metal container ughhhhh .. .made my teeth clench.
I so agree. I wanted to take my teeth out

Lmao!
This was great, thanks, I have been researching "how much fragrance do i add to soy wax?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is an awesome exclusive guide for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.
I had to turn the volume all the way down😬😬
Lmaoooo
Love your videos thank you for sharing, I was wondering do you let your tarts cure ? And if so how long would you recommend? 😊
Yes, I them cure for three days.
Hi. What about your candles? Do you use different amounts of FO for different scents? Also do some scents need longer cure time? Thanks ❤️
Fantastic instruction! Thank you for sharing and I look forward to collecting a new hobby!
Thank you! These are super fun to make.
Thank you for this great video!!!
Thank you so much for sharing!
💖💞I just adore these! My favorite fragrance is Creme’ Brûlée and I love how you decorate the tips. I love playing around with the wax to make cool designs!💞💖
Thank you! Yes, this fragrance is the bomb!!! It is so true to it's name!
I already buy The ScentSationals scented wax cubes. Coffee Cake Swirl. M-m-m 😍
What a fun video! Thank You.
Am new to buy old to candle making I'm doing Wax Melts this time I'm using 2oz of fragrance to 16oz of wax the max I can use to organic soy wax I hope this are a big hit I'm doing 500 shells for March so wish me luck 🌻🌻🌻
Great video thanks for sharing this video ❤
I love everything about this video
thank you!
What is the thermometer you're using called ? I love it. Thank you for your informative video ! ❤️🙋🏻♀️
Loved your presentation so I decided to Subscribe on 01/03/20 👍🏼
What do you do with the left over wax? And how do you clean your dishes after? Also do you have a video on how you print out your labels for your candles and wax melts??
Hi there! Loved your video! What does letting it set for 3 days do? Also when you let it set, do you close it? I made some apples and maple bourbon and unfortunately they aren’t as strong as I’d hoped for 😞 should I have gone 20 degrees lower than the flash point? Thanks in advance!
allowing these to cure for three days allows everything to fully combine and bond, which should increase scent throw. I do close mine after they set up. Adding fragrance closer to the flashpoint temp should help.
Hey Cory
Im thinking of trying the Joy wax but i cant call Natures Garden.. Hows their shipping? Im in WA and i believe youre in CA so similar shipping from OH?
Loved this video very informative!! If you would sell these what will be the average price you would sell them for?
I love your video and how you Make your melts. Your instructions are straight to the point!! I bet they smell great!! Question: Do you measure your 3oz of fragrance and do you add the same 3oz in your wax melts.
Hi, thank you so much. I measure my ounces by weight.
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany your welcome okay and when I seen your pour your fragrance in the wax pitcher while it was on the scale you just watched the number move up 3 ounces right? Or can I measure 3oz in measuring cup then pour in with was
Thank you for sharing, u always inspire me to be more focused and creative, its after 2am here in England and I want to create more 🤗
You are welcome! I am so happy to inspire you!
Right!!! I feel like being creative too. I have ALWAYS wanted to make soap and candles. I made soap tonight now I'm thinking candles might even be easier. These wax melts look so cool!
Thanks for explaining why you used 50% soy and 50% paraffin wax. I've purchased scores of wax melts only to be frustrated when I try to pop out ONE square and it gets all mushy (and my condo is never warm). I was hoping you'd show us as you popped out the wax from the container---and sure enough--- I was HAPPY to see that it popped out cleanly and stayed intact as you broke it up. EXCELLENT. I will NEVER buy another container of wax mets - I'll make my own. Thanks very much for this video.
You are welcome! This is an excellent wax for wax tarts. And so easy to use! I am glad you found this video useful!
What a great video. Thank you for sharing. I thought 100% soy is better to use for wax melts??? Can you help me?
What is that you put on top of the cranberry orange wax melts? Where did you purchase that from? I love that look 🥰
Hello! Can you tell what brand of pouring pot you have? I like the idea of putting it directly on the stove. Thanks for giving us such a detailed video!
I love the video beautiful melt wax
Thank you .you are amazing.
Your videos are amazing
Love the video. How does these melts do in a tart warm that operates at a lower temperature? I use partylite warmers so wondering how it would melt in that. All of their candles and melts have a low temp melting point.
Thank you! They probably would not do so well in a tart warmer like that, as these tarts have a high melt point. Although I have never tried them in those warmers so I don't know for sure.
Love your wax videos! Can I use this piller of bliss for scoopable melts?
Murmie 84 no it’s too hard
Thank you so much for sharing and I just found your channel this week :) I make cold process soap and have been making tarts to go with some of the scents that I've used in the soaps. Winter Wonderland from Nurture Soap is wonderful!
Ladybug Lane Soaps thank you so much for watching! I’ve never tried that fragrance but it sounds awesome 👏🏻
Ladybug Lane Soaps also, I just saw your channel, new subscriber here!!
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany Thank you! :)
Great video, thank you. How many burn hours will one square of those clamshells have please?
Love your videos :) :)
Could the Joy wax work the same? I have tons of this wax and looking for an alternative use.
Thank you, unfortunately no, joy wax is too soft for clamshells
You mentioned using candlescience fragrance oils. Have you ever tried the the fragrance oils from the Va. Candle Company?
Like your creations, and seen you dog peeking in the video, he's lovely!
Hi. I purchased 20# of Pillar of Bliss it’s different than the one I’m also using. I noticed it doesn’t hold the heat long. A lot of wax srarted hardering on my pourers. Any tips because I have a lot I need to use. Love your videos!
Hi, I love watching your videos and I think I'm going to try the melts. Where did you purchase your thermometer?
Jami Olney Lowe’s. I only know because someone else asked.
@@Sochi314 thank you so much
Love this video, also...beautiful golden! We have a golden also, named Daisy. 🐾
Lacy Johnson thank you! We have two golden girls Roxy and Ruby. Aren’t they the best?
Great job 😊
They look like little dessert custards. I bet they smell really good too. Thank you for sharing .
They smell so good!
Great job! So do you just leave it up to the customers to break apart the melts?
What supplies would we need ? And what supplies do you recommend to use for beginners
I love this! Where did you buy the melting cup?
Great video! How long do you let them cure?
Does 3oz apply because you are using a different brand of wax than you are fragrance oil ? Would it be different if I used the pillar of bliss wax and also fragrance oil from the same company?
I love love your video, where I can buy the scale ? And the 🥄, also the big container
What do you call that type of temperature gage? Thanks for the informative vid, i really want to make these. Take care
1979discodiva it’s a digital thermometer i got from Lowe’s
Thanks for the tutorial! I have a question and hope it isn't a stupid one. How do you clean your pouring pot after using it?
I usually warm up the pot and wipe it out with a paper towel.
Hi! It’s my first time watching your videos. Love them. Very informational. I’ve been wanting to make my own wax melts. What did you use for coloring the wax?
I really like the liquid candle dye from cierra candles.
Thank you 😊
About how long does the fragrance last? I feel like I go through the wax melts so quickly in the Walmart brand? Is it more cost effective to make them at home?
hello Sunshine Soap and Candle Company How are you? do i could use wood spoon or metal spoon for candles making?
From Start to finish how long does it take to create the wax melts?
Did you use this ratio when you made the strawberries & cream wax melts? I bought those from you and they were pretty strong and smelled SO damn good lol 🙌🏾
Yes, it is the same ration here!! I love those strawberries & cream melts as well, lol!!
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompanycan the fragrance be from any company?
@@jerseyl6399 smells vary
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany do you also use Natures Garden fragrance oils. I know you mentioned candlescience but I bought a few from Natures Garden, I'm hoping they are good quailty, what do you think?
Do you recommend Candle Science for this kind of wax?
So happy to have found you! What's the name of the "remote electronic" thermometer you use? It's genius. Million times better than a turkey or candy thermometer!
Enjoy all of your videos. what is the scale that you use
Can we use our preference of FO for your bliss wax
Do you find with piller of bliss wax needs to get to a hotter temperature like 185-190 and add the dye first while hot and fragrance @ 180-175. Plus you need to work fast or batches as it cools really fast pouring @ 165. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!
How long does the scent last? How many hours or uses do you get before it no longer throws a scent
Hello, I am currently using Pillar of Bliss for my wax melts, how do you combat sinking and having to do a double pour with this wax in clamshells?
I have not had this issue in the clam shells with sinking. I have had this issue while pouring tarts. I would try pouring at a lower temp. and see if that fixes it.
