    I got sick of spending alot on these and decided to save some money and make my own. I believe it has backfired, a lot of my family are requesting them now LOL. I like your tutorials on making them strong, as I love the really strong scented tarts. They fill the whole home and smell so great!

    That's cool that you hit the scents heavy, so tired of buying wax melts that fool ya with a nice scent but lack in performance, which is why I'm here to start doing it myself. Thanks

    I’ve had horrible luck making wax melts for some reason. I followed the instructions and every time, they don’t smell like anything. I’ve been recycling my screw-ups into fire starters for our camping trips and for lighting the wood burner 😂 Just add sawdust! After watching this like 3 times, I purchased all the stuff you use and I’m going to give it another try. I think my biggest mistake was using essential oils instead of fragrance oils. Thanks for this comprehensive video!

    Thanks for explaining why you used 50% soy and 50% paraffin wax. I've purchased scores of wax melts only to be frustrated when I try to pop out ONE square and it gets all mushy (and my condo is never warm). I was hoping you'd show us as you popped out the wax from the container---and sure enough--- I was HAPPY to see that it popped out cleanly and stayed intact as you broke it up. EXCELLENT. I will NEVER buy another container of wax mets - I'll make my own. Thanks very much for this video.

    Thanks SO much! This is exactly what I was looking for! Answered all my questions! 😁 In my case though, for home use I always put the same amount in my melter every time (three tabs). So I will try to find some small, round puck mold to make a one use piece! Again, thank you for taking the time to post this video!!!

    New sub!! I promote my candles as clean burning i use a 100% soy wax and a coconut soy blend. It sounds like people always have more success with using paraffin or blends of paraffin for better throws. And i am stuck between a rock and a hard place because my candles are being promoted as luxury CLEAN, with clean and healthy ingredients with out all the crap that they say is in paraffin.

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  5 років тому +1

      Not all fragrance and essential oils are skin safe, so you can't use them in soap making. There are lots of fragrances on the market that are skin safe and you can use any of these in soap and candle making. You just have to look when you are buying them to make sure they are skin safe fragrance or essential oils.

    Found ur video after searching for wax melts that smell like Anthropology Capri Blue Volcano. Amazon has a dupe oil. I’m not a DIYer, so does anyone know if using pre-made unscented wax melt with drops of oil work?

    Loved your video so much I wanted to purchase the wax. It no longer exists in the store. Did they rename it?

      Hi! I know when they are out of stock on something they take it off the website. If you email them, they can tell when it will be back up! I love this wax for tarts!!

    Just finished watching the video and LOVE it!!! I use the tarts way more than actual candles. Did u get the clam shell tart containers on amazon? Ordering a kit to help me get started making my own wax melts and soooo excited! I am also interested in making soaps too:-) thank you for the video.
