After lucerys painful death, i think his action was right and rhaneyra was really creepy in the scene. he loved laena and never betrayed her and in book he didn't kill his first wife 😮

Then because Daenys the dreamer had a dream about the doom of Valyria they left and years later the doom got Valyria. House Valaryen had also left Valyria earlier and to keep the dragon rider blood pure they wed people from their houses together.
