I’m happy to see that you turned off the Jake brake in the rain. They told us not to us it in the rain while we are driving the fire trucks because it can make it unsafe when stopping and it could cause the vehicle to wreck
The truck he is driving does not have Jake brakes and I have heard from experience old school truck drivers that you can use Jake’s in the rain you just can’t use it on ice
I would like to introduce myself to all you truckers and how I am. I worked at Detroit Diesel for 30.6 tears and I know both the 2cyl and the Series 60. I assembled and tested both of them. I was the only one that had a master mechanic's licence for Series 60.
I love a pre-EGR 12.7. Definitely in the top five highway diesel truck engines ever made.

14.0L Egr Delete
12.7 ans 855 cummins top 2
I’m surprise people still like the DD60 despite they are not being 2 stroke anymore like a 6V92
You say top 5 I say top 1
this truck was actually an 11.1L... not a powerhouse by any means but it sounded good!
I like the old standard steering wheels.

I have a cat and 12.7 liter I can say cat has more power
It’s a larger engine I’d hope it has more I bet the Detroit gets better mileage though
