I'm 62 and so glad I found your channel..Thank you for all your fashion advice.Love watching your videos.Ive learnt a lot as I am 5ft 2 ...😊
I laughed so hard at the beginning, I spit my coffee out!!! Nope, don’t settle. Great video!
I am almost 60 and I’ve learned so much from you thank you chi!
The after styles are definitely better looking than the befores, but I think the examples would work better if the model wore the same outfit and the same height of boot. When more than one variable changes it's hard to attribute the improvement to one variable.
👍
I’m so grateful for these videos 😭🙌 my husband is 6’1 so your tips definitely help me! I’m tired of looking like a child! 😢
You are amazing Chi! Thank you for the tips!
I am so happy to hear another short gal, like myself (I am barely 5’2!) veto any and all shoe styles, with a square toe. They do not flatter. Period. But that’s my personal opinion. Although I am envious of those, who can wear a pointed toe shoe, because it has the power to elongate shorter legs, when beautifully executed. My problem is with skirt length’s and finding what suits my height. I’m so glad to have found your channel!
Your channel is my favorite style channel I have learned so much and I’m not even petite!
I don't get the popularity of Uggs. To me they look like space shoes ...
To me they are ugly... so we on the same page...lol
😂
They're slippers
That’s exactly it, they are slippers for outdoor wear. So comfortable and perfect for city living as we walk everywhere and can regularly be outside for a while. Nothing keeps feet so warm!
Love my Uggs , so comfortable and toasty 😊
I gave in to the square toed boot trend and totally REGRET IT! I'm your size and you are so right, they are NOT flattering for someone my size. What was I thinking?! 🤬😭
I love your videos! I am only 5ft and I’ve learned so much from you.
Your videos are helpful and you throw in your personal humor. I so understand, I had to return booties with a 5 inch shaft because they shafed my leg when I walked, and they were a dream of polished, classic beauties. I didn't settle, I gave up. No lugs or Uggs for me. Keep on with your videos.
Thank you so much! ❣️
I love bulky and platforms, but there is one very important thing, they NEED to be black. Combined with tight pants in black or leggings and a longtop they are amazing. The bigger/higher the better! But hey that is my gothic streak :) Very big bulky shoes also makes the petit look very cute. But then again I mostly have black clothes and they do really fine under a long (and wide) skirt/dress as well. The best is if the shoes are the same color as the legs are, I really love my huge platform bulky boots, have had them over 25 years and still going strong and in slippery weather not afraid to slip.
I really dislike any brown and beige colors on shoes, makes it look zo plain and dull... dark red, deep purple is fine, but white, beige or brown, juk, specially if they also have black soles. I would feel like a clown that way.
btw, I do love your video's, you have some great tips and love your humor! Keep it up :)
yep
Same here! I'm 5'4 and I love my Doc Marten boots (Sinclair's, Devon Hearts & Romety) which have a thicker platform sole and heel because they give me height, look great with anything and are extremely comfortable but they have to be black but then I wear mostly black to suit my Goth/Grunge style. The 1460's are too flat for me, I can't wear flat heeled shoes or boots, they must have some sort of heel. Doc's with a skirt or dress can look amazing but you're right, they have to be black!
I really do not know what brand they are, maybe Mustang because they have a badge on it of that. They look like a mix of platform crossed with doc's. I handsewn a lace-kind of fabric on the back as there was elastic and the elastic is still working but the top layers became bare. The shoes themselves are in perfect order, put a bit of saddle-grease on them every fall. Hope they keep going for a long time because they walk so wonderful still and look amazing for any grunge/gothic/punk look. Have to hide them soon, my kid is getting almost in my shoe size now...
Well, to be honest its not just about the style of the boots if you're petite, it's also based on body shape. My friend is petite but slender and all the boots/shoes that are no no in this video look great on her.
Correct, it depends on body proportions (long legs compared to the rest of the body slay many of the NOs shown in the video)
I agree. I know petite women that have perfect proportions(thigh+calf the same length, and torso perfect to the legs)..however, I on the other hand, have short calves and longer thighs...so most boots will make me look ridiculous. However...I will say that some of these can be worn if you wear black stockings or leggings with black boots so that you create the illusion of long legs. But it also ties in with the length of your skirt + the textures you wear. I would NEVER wear different colored boots than my jeans/thights,stockings, skirts etc. My biggest issue is having chronic illness, so I cant really wear heels anymore or my feet hurt like hell. But I bought the Sam Edelmann Garret boots, and they made me look taller and pared great with wide jeans. My point is that as a petite woman you have to wear one color or else you cut yourself off like what we see in this video. Also, fabric is important, because even if thights and boots are black, the difference in texture can also cut up the length. Even long coats... If Theres a horizontal seam on the middle of the back or low on the back it makes you look shorter. A horizontal seam on the back needs to be at waist height. So I wish fashion designers created more empire waist styled clothing for petite women
I just found this channel and I'm blown away how many tips there are to style my height, thank you. 🥺
Welcome!! ❣️
I just love you and your doppelganger 😉😊 I'm 5'1 so I've learned so much from you! My biggest problem is finding affordable size 5 shoes of any kind! I'm in Florida so I would look ridiculous in boots when it's still 90° here. Even jeans are too hot. Funny tho how what a wore in the 70's 80's even 90's are back! Keep it coming for us💙💙💙👏👏👏
So true! I’m a size 5 and it’s hard to find in any store!
Cinderellas of Boston carries very small sizes. They are an online vendor though
@@PetiteDressing what is ur height
Hi Chi! I’m love your videos, topics and so glad I found your You Tube channel!
@@rabeyasorna2174 she is 5'2
I'm not petite, but I do have shorter legs, and I have watched many of your videos. They are super helpful, and I really appreciate how your videos are very well presented, short and to the point, and humorous. Keep up the awesome work!
Perfect, Chi! Thanks!
I like boots that are fitted at the ankles, too, rather than those thick-ankle ones or slouchies. I do have a pair of flat-heeled slouchy boots, I bought them because they’re the only navy, genuine leather pair I ever ever found. They also have round toes. Though comfy, I feel short and stumpy in them though, and am looking for a mid-heeled version, navy is my black.
I have been following since I moved to Europe. Always been a island girl. The transition was quite challenging so I went here and get some pointers. Now I'm back as I wanted to revamp my style after gicing birth. 😂 thank you and I hope ill have the confidence to wear this
Those wedge boots are beautiful❗️
I agree on uggs, chunky toe box and square toecap. I agree that knee high boots look much more flattering than midcalf. I also like to wear over the knee boots, but I prefer when there’s no skin showing between the boots and the hemline.
I disagree on ankle boots and combat boots though. They should not be banned from the wardrobe. Ankle boots are perfect to wear with trousers, pants and jeans. They come especially handy with cropped bottoms, they can help to eliminate weird skin gap between shoe and hem, thus elongating the leg. Also, I love combat boots, they are so slippery-proof! I’d suggest to wear them with wide leg or straight leg trousers/jeans and that solves the problem. They are much more helpful than heels when it’s slippery ice skating rink weather outside.
The bulky and platform shoes are my all time favorite, BUT yep, not flattering at all. Thanks for the vid!
before I went shopping yesterday,i reviewed this particular video, great help,i didn’t settle for something regrettable 😊,now i’m making a habit to review a particular video of yours before I go shopping:)😊
That's so good to hear! Glad my video is helping you out when you're shopping 😊
Thank you Chi you are doing the gods work with these videos!
You're always welcome! ❣️
Same exact feelings about my Ugg’s !! I never wear them and can’t get rid of them !! I gave the natural color so it might be challenging to find pants to match.
Where do you shop for knee high boots that aren't too tall for your legs? I have the hardest time finding ones in the right shaft height; most of the knee high boots are a standard 15" shaft that is too high for my lower leg and cuts uncomfortably into the back of my knee.
Thank you Chi 🙂
I really appreciate your channel and petite suggestions! So verh helpful!!
I think you look cute in all the boots! But I agree some are more flattering than others.
I also love you girlfriend! You teach me a lot! 4'11" here so I need a lot of help! ❤️
Iove your channel. I'm 4"9 and I live in Florida. I have a Doc Martens boots and a camel color suede fall boots. my shoe size is 5 and living here in the US, it's hard to find my size most of the time with shoes that I like. size 5 always runs out fast among other sizes.
Thank you so much! ❣️
What about loafers? I've been eyeing the ones with chunky heel. They look comfortable and add some height without wearing heels. Can you review that new trend? Would love to know your opinion 😀
Hello! 🍁 Love your videos. It's funny when you were talking about Ugg's first thing what it came to my mind when they became popular was : it must be short from the word "ugly". 😂 I never had one and never will, in my opinion they belong in Australian bushes where they came from and it shouldn't be worn outside your house like slippers or bathrobe. 😁 It does not look good on anyone doesn't matter if you are tall or short. Unless you like to have a bottom heavy bear foot. 🐻
Thank you! ❣️
I know 'em as "Almond Toe".
Love it.
I have 14” calf height and 14” circumference. Every year I struggle finding boots in all styles because I have skinny calves and ankles. Theres so much gapping in any style. Website descriptions and online reviews are never accurate
Hi Chi. I love my ugg boots and wear them around the house as slippers. Another great video full of excellent advice. 🖐💖 From Australia
Thank you so much! ❣️
I enjoy your videos and learn so much. Thank you for all your work and research. I do love a reasonable platform with long trousers. The combo makes my legs look like they are forever long! Not unlike the 70's. 😊
Thank you! ❣️
It doesn't depend on the height only, but also on the body proportions. If you're short but you have long legs in relation to your body these rules don't apply that much.
You're so cute and funny :) I don't know if I count as petite (5'5) but liked these tips because even though I'm slim, my lower legs are "athletic" and I need to choose shoe and boot styles carefully! Glad you explained the lug sole on the taller boots, and that I'm right for always steering towards very pointed styles - always felt great in them, now I know why. Thanks!! :)
Thank you so much! ❤️
Amazing video thanks Dear
That beginning skit of your fussy friend 😂 Chi you’re hilarious 😂
Haha thank you so much! ❣️
I’m 4 ft 10 petite and the only boots I wear r mid calf combat boots . They look fine on me also I love uggs I do a video diary lmk what you think of my boots look .. thx subbed
You have helped me so much!! Thank you for your videos…
You're welcome! ❣️
Some cute boots in there, would be nice if she linked where to buy them.👢
She did, look under the description and more.... click on more.
Thank u Chi, do u have a video on how to wear flat shoes confidently?
I am 5’1” and disagree with most of this. I have wide feet and have been used to military boots. Now that I’m wearing heels, I try to go more for comfort and room in the toe box. Most of my shoes are square toe and are flattering because they fit snug around my calf and hit either a above or below the knee. You’re examples of what not to wear were either too wide/loose on your calves or way too tall for your shin to knee height. I wear mid calf boots a lot with and without lug soles. They’re flattering with skinny jeans, tights, or bare legs. Wearing an I’ll-fitted grey midi dress doesn’t do any shoe many favors. Wedges aren’t our only answer especially since they usually don’t look super classy.
Great video, but like others said- make the comparisons more even and realistic. Try finding/comparing boots that you typically think don’t think you like, but actually fit properly. Loose or too tall of boots should be avoided for ANY type of boot. Which takes trial and error. Not trying to be mean at all. You’re super cute with some great advice!
Your an angel 🫶🏻 In styling us not so tall ladies. Appreciate your video. Looking forward to the next 👍🏻
Thank you so much! ❣️
Thank you for another awesome video!
No problem! ❣️
😉 Rarely wear boots in my hotter 😎 climate, but I fear I might have to invest in some chunky lug sole round toe boots for their wider toe pocket & comfort in future. 🤣Will soon have to wear orthotics to correct developing 🦶feet🦶 issues.
My take aways: choose (1) Knee boots to minimize curvy calf muscle & lengthen visual line; (2) Soles that match boot leather - avoid two tone styles that shorten you visually; (3) Make sure boots match hosiery (i.e., tights/socks) &/or bottoms (i.e., skirts/pants) to elongate the vertical line.
🤫 Although if I can find a wider width, I am on the hunt for a nude below the ankle 🤠 cowboy booties.

I love your videos, thanks ❤
Thank you so much! ❣️
Oops some cowboy boots go to mid calf.and I have a black pair and a white pair
Thanks 🥰
What about right below the knee?
Seriously funny introduction! I also really like the black dress you have on at 1:11- is it from your online shop? or where did you get it?
Grate tips Chi
Thank you
Thank you so much! ❣️
love the info
I would be afraid of twisting my ankle with those platform heels or boots. I always wear my black mid calf booties with black leggings
I'm perfect! Except for my short thick legs. I've almost banned dresses and skirts altogether. Skinny jeans are too tight on my calves! I'm 5'2" and 126 lbs. My body is weird and I end up wearing jeans and t shirts. 🙃
You can always experiment and mix/match outfits together to add a little spice on your outfits 😊
Omg THANK YOU!!!
You're welcome! ❣️
You’re brilliant
Thank you so much! ❣️
Mam my height is too short and i can't wore heels for a long time plz prefer me which type of boots i should buy
how many cm of your over knee boots's shaft height?
Sorry but the UGG’s are slippers not shoes. They were never intended to be styled
0:52 ... boots are the right look like farm boots aka shit kickers 😂😂
respectfully disagree with some of these, it really depends on your style and the type of clothes you wear. I'm 5'1~5'2 and I own some of these and they look great
At the end of the day, it's really how you style and deliver it 😊
Nice
Thank you so much!
👍 super 🤗
Is returnable a scam to get people to buy things on your website? When I have a vest needs to return, I can’t get a return label also cannot find any customer service number. Usps staff told me they never download labels, petite dressing is supposed to give customers a QR code. But again I can’t get any body to help me, no number no reply of email….
I bought a vest but it still looses then I need to return it. I got an email which said download the return label but guess what? I tried many times there’s no label! I went to usps which the email said this is the carrier but usps staff said they never do download any label. Petite dressing is supposed to give me a QR code. Again, no customer service number nobody replied my email….
I don’t believe in this women wear whatever you want wear whatever makes you happy be confident.
Thank you for your channel. There is a young lady on youtube who has a channel. She is an extremely nice person and has a super positive attitude. However, she wears whatever is popular or cute, with no care at all about how it looks like on her. She has huge feet, yet wears gigantic clunky boots. She wears clothes that are in between an old lady and a teenager. Some self-awareness is needed to dress your style as well as what looks best on you.
Life is too short to worry about trivial things , sometimes I wear unflattering clothes and shoes and sometimes I like to dress more to my body shape but I like to experiment with clothes and different styles . That being said this channel has some good advice for petite women even though I’m not petite ( I’m above average height) I enjoy her channel .
YOU'RE WELCOME! ❣️
I'm not short, but my legs are short and I'm not the type to be comfortable being taller than everyone else 😭
I have short legs, but my feet are wide. Pointed toes boots gonna be the dead of me (my toes) :'
I'm 4 /10 so what does it matter, and I a size 3 /4 shoe,
One time...I just threw 2 pairs of UGG boots in the bin.
But my feet are super large. 😮😐
I'm very petite but I wish I could wear combat boots😢😢
너무 도움되요
Love seeing your boots go on bare feet.
No socks and no nylons just your boots
Why don't you wear socks with your boots? I'm sorry for asking but I'm just curious.
basicaly the summary for me: everything i like is making legs shorter. Pass me a gun
Where do u find boots that are NOT lug sole. Literally all boots have lug size these days.
But those are so uncomfy 😳 huhuhu... Why do the good-looking ones hurt the feet
I disagree about the bulky toe boots. They balance your thick legs and would be very flattering if you chose an outfit with balanced proportions. Your example is misleading.
🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️❤️❤️❤️
What about ladies with thick thighs❓
Hey dear ❤️ plzzz can you come with a Vedio on right sports bra and daily wear bra especially for heavy and saggy breasted girls 🙏🙏 plzzz ... highly requested 🙏 🙏
Unfortunately, pointy toe shoes can look witchy :/
🙋♀️🇨🇦🫶🏻🙏🏻
IMHO squaretoe shoes arent attractive on anyone..lol
