Thx for the tutorial man 😁. My monitor is perfectly clean now thank u. I also didn’t think I needed to watch a video to know how to clean something lol.
Tip when you get a new monitor use keep the little loose foamish plastic bag that it comes in and put it somewhere so when you don’t use your PC for a amount of time just slip it over and then you will have like 90% less dust on your monitor even before you clean it

Good thing is that your using a dell monitor, i have a Dell P2214H and a Dell 1905FP and i was concerned since i dont wanna break both of my monitors for just wiping with water and stuff, now im gonna try this when i have time and yeah, thanks for the video :D
I find that I had to go left-right or up-down a few times over some sticky white spots to get them off. Maybe because I was using those thin microfiber cloths that come in your spectacle case. It also didn't seem to absorb the distilled water. Are there two types of microfiber cloths?
@@dutchvanderlindeplan oh boy and i was wondering why my monitor kepy having scratches after i cleaned it with tap water and when i tried to dry my screen, the scratches just became more and more

Try to avoid using alcohols like isopropyl on screens, especially on the newer screens of today, which tend to be more fragile to those substances than older or mobile devices with glass or plastic screens. You can still get away with using it, but you run the risk of killing pixels.
@@BeardedFire Small quantities of water on a microfiber cloth, much like you see on the video, or chemicals specially made to clean screens (although be cautious about the listings if you choose the latter route; don't get anything sketchy for obvious reasons). If whatever you're trying to clean is really, really, tough to get out, I'd go with that latter option.
@@BeardedFire you can only use isopropyl on cellphones and Macs that have that kind of glass monitor for PC monitors you don't want alcohol or chemicals

thing is. some subtances eat into the plastic layer of the display very easylie and never come off again. you wont get rid of that mark no matter what you do, when the surface is damaged. ketchup, orange juice, fat
it's leaving marks where I Try to clean it this way. Is this supposed to happen or am i doing something wrong. I'm kinda worried that I've ruined my screen :(
I THINK THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY U SHOULD NEVER SPRAY DIRECT SPECIALLY IF YOUR MONITOR IS NEW PROBLEM U CAN AND U WILL FACE WATER MAY GET INSIDE AND U WILL SE SOME SPOTS AT SIDE LIKE DUST AND THAT CAN BE CURED ONLY After OPENING THE MONITOR SO NEVER SPRAY DIRECTLY AS HE SAID MICROFIBER CLOTH USE THAT CLOTH SPRAY ON THAT CLOTH AND CLEAN AND ALSO DONT USE ANY ALCOHOL BASED CLEANING PRODUCTS
Best thing to clean a monitor with is one of those glasses cleaning cloths with a little distilled water on it. just dab some distilled water on the edge of the cloth and go in a circular motion, no need to go left to right.
Also be careful because if you put too much pressure on your monitor you can create a light, dark, or dead pixel
This should be pinned to the top comment.

great tutorial straight to the point, and it actually worked I am forever grateful.

Thank you so much! I was scared to clean my screen because my monitor was so expensive. I just said f it and did it & it worked so well thanks
Definitally helped but it still is pretty dirty from opening soda/pop cans at my desk, just kinda smeered so i had to go over it a couple of times.

yes, there are different kinds.

Yes its much cleaner using the circular motion method
The problem is you could have a loose particle that will cause micro-scratches. By going in circular motion, you make them much more noticable.
