《Retro》Due to Initial D, AE86 has became the legend of classic JDM, and served as a treasure-like collector item.
Meanwhile, an electrical mechanic in Hong Kong is daily driving an AE86 to work EVERYDAY.

I’m 26 now and my dad has had the 86 coupe (mine now) since 2000 and has had two 86 hatches in the 90s. In similarity to Wai, I simply grew up with a passion for this car. My dad would let me shift the gears starting 1st grade growing with the car till I just feel in sync. I also did not know what Initial D was until high school til others brought it up (love it btw). I don’t ever plan on selling this car either. If this car was human it would feel like it was my brother. Love your spirit for the car Wai!
You literally grew up with the "Hachiroku", so treat it well :)

I almost forgot how LUCKY we Americans are when it comes to cars, when he mention he almost sold the car for 35 grand. Cars in other countries cost a lot more compare to US. I am happy and grateful to be able to buy a $23,000 Scion FR-S brand new.

I think I may have seen this 86 or maybe another one similar few years ago when I was on a trip in HK. Sometime between a many of the bus rides from Kowloon to Mongkok. Also between those rides have some clean bmw e30s just chillin along the side. Considering densely packed yet these cars really stand out amongst the massive population.
Perhaps this AE86 is one of the important moments of your trip, did you enjoy your trip to Hong Kong? Btw this AE86 is still running on the road nowadays, I just saw Wai's Levin last week :)

I enjoyed the trip, my recent trip was to visit family. Somehow I really enjoyed the turbo manual bus rides haha. They have left residency of Hong Kong few months ago now though.

Now you know how to pronounced "eightysix" in Cantonese, the Initial D movie is still one of the best Hong Kong movie ever at all time :D

可能更Fourth Stage阿樹的Levin更像，不過那是一台加裝了Turbo的AE85 :o

Once a fren offer sell his Levin 86 to me but that moment I own an Honda Eg6.. That moment I think Honda better than Levin... so end up I no buy... until today I feel very regret...
To be honest both of them are good car, EG6 provided better performance, while AE86 is a FR car for you to have fun. I can understand your situation, it is a very hard choice :O

我上手架AE100（1993年出厰）前車主新車返來揸10年，轉到我手又揸咗12年仲可以賣走，豐田車真掂可靠。

明白玩車要動感活力，但《中古》想道出車主背後的故事，較為感性，為營造氣氛所以有這種效果🙂
