MY URINE IS ORANGE | It Could Be Hemolytic Anemia

- One of the main symptoms of hemolytic anemia is dark urine. For me, I experienced this along with jaundice and I had no idea that my red blood cells were being destroyed. I wanted to discuss this topic as it is not something that is talked about often. I think it is important to know the signs and symptoms of hemolysis and to know when it is necessary to visit a doctor.
In 2018, my urine was orange. Dark orange. I honestly didn’t think anything of it because I thought I was just dehydrated from working and not drinking enough water.Turns out my red blood cells were being attacked and I ended in the hospital with hemolytic anemia.

I remember turning yellow, urine was dark ice tea. Went to hospital . They ran blood and urine and my LFT'S were in the thousands. Billirubin was 23.6 and i looked like bart simpson. Turns out it was Hepatitis A. As yellow as i was i couldnt walk into any room without every one just looking. All assuming i hit the bottle to much. But little did they know i dont drink, or smoke. Love the channel!
Just had this and nearly lost my life, a virus attacked my pancreas but fortunately they gave me 4 different antibiotics in 2 drips and it got the infection under the control. I had extreme pain also so not to panic anyone who may have it for another reason. My 2nd pancreatic attack in 7 years although the one in 2015 I suffered multiple organ failure and was put in a medically induced coma. I don’t recall a change to my urine the 1st time. Although I don’t remember much pre coma.
Recently my urine has become very orange in color. July of 2014 I was diagnosed with auto immune pancreatitis. I've had 7 endoscopies, 6 MRI's, liver and pancreas biopsies for cancer. Had 4 stints in my biliary tube. My skin was orange and eyes yellow. Praise God no cysts, mast, tumors or cancer cells. Bilirubin was 23 (not suppose to more than 1). My liver function numbers were so bad my doctor asked me how long had I been drinking (I've never drank alcohol). Haven't smoked cigarettes since experimenting as a kid. No drugs. Never been on any meds. Gonna start drinking more water. Hope this lightens my urine color. Any other advice?

my urine looks like motor oil. went to nephrologist last week. he said stage 3 CKD. wants me back in 2 months for repeat labs and if not better then kidney biopsy. have you had a kidney biopsy? i wondered if painful. sounds painful!
