- Yes it's true, a baby could have literally been conceived and birthed in the time its taken me to get this video out, better late than never I guess?
But way back in May 2019 saw the annual Instinctive Archery Gathering, this year returning home to where it first began back in 2014 In Edertal Germany on the Bowra 3D corse.
So I'd make yourself a nice hot beverage, sit back, relax and enjoy one of my favourite adventures from last year.

Jim, 6.30 on the Sunday morning you had the look of a man who had had too little sleep and too much beer....
Good man.
This video puted a stupid smile in my face, and I wasn't even there! I wish I had archery buddies and events like this nearby, or at least in this continent. Cheers to archery, the friends who stay and the ones who gone.

Cracking video Jim. Kinda get what you mean by the mental thing. Was shooting yesterday in a 3D in The Netherlands, and apart from a bad start I was getting some decent shots out. Probably because I didn't get too hung up about the score and was in a group where nobody was taking it too seriously, of course we all want to do well, but there is still room to have a laugh and enjoy archery. So I'm hoping for the same again next weekend as I go to Germany for Eifel Bowhunter's Iceman shoot.

Such a wide variety of trad bows. Pretty cool to see that many different bows all at the same event.
Can't believe I had to wait four minutes for Jim's big entrance. So elusive!

Looked like a great one once again! This gathering thing is probably the best adventure of the year each year, it motivated me to finally buy my trad bow (I was shooting classic) and aspire to find or create a gathering of my own.

That was so fun to watch. I can only imagine the fun it must have been. well, I can see it on all those faces. I started shooting less than a year ago and I have to go one of these things. Thanks for sharing your passion.

Shoot in a way that makes you happy! Who cares if it doesn’t fit in to a rule book pigeon hole... as long as you’re shooting that’s the main thing right?
@@ArcheryAdventures Thanks for the reply. I took out my brand new 60" Slick Stick longbow and tried shooting it with a tab. Didn't go well. I have a broken clavicle on my right side and I'm right handed! Go figure. I was really close to giving up on trad bows until I, strangely, decided to use a compound release on my recurve. It worked out perfectly on that bow and every trad bow I own. From selfbow to high-end carbon limb recurves. Shoot what works because we are all built differently. Keep up the amazing work Jim.

Thanks for another great video. I used to shoot recurve 30 years ago and I am wanting to start again by the means of trad shooting and would absolutely love a hybrid longbow sometime,. I love your sttiker and also love the look of the Bodnik hybrid longbow, but need to be sensible and try some bows out before I buy something sometime as I will need to save up.
