The 765LT is the quickest, best by far 60-130 and 100% below 60 and beyond 130 , plus the easiest to tune and get hundreds of additional hp and much lower times

Rimac Nevera half-mile -- 12.82 seconds.
Plaid Model S half-mile -- 15.04 seconds
One's $2.4M, the other is $110K.
The Plaid can do better than a 15.04....with better traction it should do around a 14.7 sec 1/2 mile.
Rimac made rollout correction
The actual times are 13.1 sec half mile and 8.4 seconds quarter mile
And 2003 F1 car does half mile in 11.8 seconds @215 mph
Ferrari F1 F2003-GA did 1/4 mile in 6.8 seconds @190 mph 🤪
Timeslip shows 7.3 @190 mph
But that was on soaking wet airstrip
This F1 car is a 6 seconds quarter mile car

If Tesla offered the track pack from the factory they could eliminate an entire set of rims and lower the price down to $15k.
They could also make a coupe version that would drop 500 pounds off and embarrass the rest of the cars even more.

I’m glad you commented on the brake pedal pressure. I was worried that my track pack wasn’t installed correctly or something. But it does stop on a dime now!
That 550 is beautiful.
I’m all over that track pack soon enough on my Plaid. I have the Mountainpassperformance upgraded front and rear rotors which are really good but will ditch those and I will keep my Signature wheels and tires. That interior on that plaid though , IMO , don’t like sorry 🤷🏻♂️. Too each their own though. Great content as always Brooks 👌🏼
Track pack comes with stronger and wider wheels to accommodate the "R" semi slick Goodyears. Stickier and wider tires = faster off the line? = faster 1/4?

wider = less overheating, better sustained cornering and braking on the track because its a bit less hard on the tires to provide similar grip and more surface to cool down
there's actually a pretty straight forward relationship between the compound (this the friction coefficient ) and the acceleration.
coefficient of friction around 1 for performance tires on asphalt means you can convert 100% of gravity's acceleration into forward acceleration. of course this is assuming you have AWD, perfect traction control and enough power to break traction
Nice Plaid, but that yoke needs to go.
My plaid has the round steering wheel and it provides such a better driving experience if you're an enthusiast.
As an enthusiast car, i have the C7.

I still say the Plaid needs the round steering wheel for those that enjoy driving their cars. Safer too. The yoke is a joke!
@@larryc1616 Not necessarily, hypercars like this limit steering travel which eliminate hand-over-hand maneuvers, unlike the Tesla.
If Tesla make changes to the underlying steering hardware, I suppose a yoke could work. As of now it sucks!!
@ms3ben be happy with the steer by wire and all wheel steering technology from the Cybertruck eliminates that "problem". Ice will never have that tech even on multi million dollar ice hyper crap

Tire slip is from the desert top soil dusting the surface of our roads. Ok in the heat of the summer, not good during the cooler/cold months.
Here in PR on the last half mile event, they were running in the 180-184mph range. It's faster than everyone except big big power supra, gtr, Lambo and audis

Audio is absolutely amazing in Tesla's. You have to try it out, find a friend or soemthing
You can really see the poor job done on that interior, bubbling everywhere, especially the wheel
The wheel was rough. I’m not usually one to shit on someone else’s car mod but that’s just objectively poorly done. I mean even if you like the look and color, things like 6:55 just aren’t acceptable
It's horrible job.. Tesla is so bad in interior that street you buy it you have it take it somewhere else to upgrade the interior and still be inferior to any German car

The LEDs might not even cost that, but the low volume manufacturing of that crazy custom fabric, ripping out the old headliner, hand fitting the new one to the vehicle, and connecting it up to power, costs money, and so does the business that keeps that guy paid, and hand fitting.

Having skylight headliner on a car with glass roof and only the parameter of the roof is silly.
Got to be honest, that v12 doesn't sound great...for a v12. Is it valved below a certain rpm? doesn't scream, like it should.
I have driven a 550 and a 575M. I was under the impression that all V12 Ferraris had that amazing scream but quickly realized that apparently the 90’s era ones don’t stock, the 575 literally just hummed! 😔
Fortunately I rode passenger in an 812 SF recently and that car had a proper V12 wail that I wanted

I’m curious as a 2021 Plaid owner if it would be worth adding the track pack to my car, or selling and upgrading the car first to a later model and then adding the track pack?

@@TB-vb3ov I do like the new look. In this video they mentioned something about the suspension being retuned a bit. It may just be a minor difference.
@@claytonjones006 Suspension should be the same. He had the track package added. The brakes in 2023 were upgraded slightly. They have a higher thermal rating and red calipers.
I have it installed on my 2021. On older cars they also changed all 4 knuckles

Got one and trapped 184.xx to the 1/2 all the way to 70% but on 21” stock wheels. I suspect the shorter diameter on the Zero G tires is hurting somehow. There were 3 track packages on the event , 2 on 21”’s (mine and other, were in the 184’s ) the other one on the Gs was 180…..
Miles on each car? Makes a big difference....

184 miles on it? My car new trapped 151 in the 1/4, now it goes 147 with 30k miles, they tend to drop off at 5k miles or so and hold from there, but it varies

mine has 5248 miles on the odometer and per draggy did 121 to the 1/8, 152 to the 1/4 183 to the half with the official speeds on the event from 184.2 to 184.8 very consistent.
Passenger and rear seat removed on mine 21” PS 4S.
