I tape my dowels towards the lower half and add the vaseline to the masking tape. I add it to the silicone plugs as well and use the plug to coat the top hole. I'm prepping to make a small stash of pens.

Beautiful!! Stunning!! Just a quick tip put your epoxy on the middle of the pen and move it towards the ends to prevent the hope from being covered and makes clean up way easier 😉 that will also help with the pen not sticking to you dowels.

I used some wire snips to cut off the little clip. It made it easier to sand. I can’t wait to try some different techniques, yours turned out gorgeous 😍

Do you have to put these on a turner, or could they be done using "hang method"?
I guess you could do the hang method but you would need thinner layers of resin so you don’t get any drips

Love these pens! However, you didn’t have to sand down again with the second coat of resin?
Do you put Vaseline on your dowels at all? Also, how will I know if I sanded my pens too much before adding the glitter? Is it just a light, quick sand, or do I need to really get in there and sand?

I'd like to know if it makes a difference when you use glossy spray paint vs matte spray paint?
Thank you so much! Not too much of a difference. I prefer to use matte but I use glossy if the color I want isn’t available in flat or matte.

I’m so far behind the newest epoxy trends haha i’ve just today bought my first pen molds. which after watching this I wish I would have watched this first and not bought the molds! Im realized the molds are not refillable. I think that’s just a waste. Your pens are super cute tho❤️🔥

Love your tutorial but I just spray painted my pen and its still sticky. I didn't put it on thick so why is the spray paint still sticky?? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated as I'm getting pretty frustrated
Could we do this using mod Podge instead of epoxy?
