Hey Lou, question for you. I have old (crappy) paneled walls that I sanded and painted about 20 years ago. I now want to change the color and repaint them. I shouldn’t sand them should I? I must mention my crappy paneling is not real wood. I think it’s made out of MDF with a photo type layer of wood on top. 😖 I am afraid if I lightly sand the painted surface that I could scratch thru to that crappy layer. Am I right to just leave the painted layer alone and just wash it and let it dry before new paint?

Hi There - We suggest checking the primer can for their dry time as it can vary by product. However, in this particular project it took 12 hours to dry. We started it during the day and let it dry overnight. Highly recommend you have windows open and fans going during the drying process.
