Hey Katie, Kenny, and Royal family! I'm not a bot. In one of your recent videos you said that as soon as videos go up, mean bots start trying to ruin your day, and that's horrible. You are pure sunshine and you deserve the best. My 4yo daughter and I watch all of your videos together because they're the perfect mix of creative, soothing, silly, and family friendly. She plays "soap artist" in the bath, mixing water and pretending it's lye water, oils, fragrance, and micas. You're good role models, your soap is gorgeous, and I think you're all around wonderful people. Thank you for being a pleasant part of my family's life. 💛
Ryland Chapman that’s so cute! My kids 14 and 5 just roll there eyes at me when I’m in the soap room or talking soap! Yet they love using what I make...
Ryland Chapman that is so incredibly sweet. I tried to get my youngest (13 and emotionally delayed) into watching the Royal family because I think they’d love it. GRIM is all about art and crafts and science, and they love watching “how it’s made” type YT channels. They watched one episode with me, gave me a very “I’ve humored you, now can I pick a video?” reaction of “ohh yeah that was cool, you’re right.” LOL AND THEN. A couple weeks back, they found my two soaps that got ordered but haven’t left the shipping boxes. I said to go ahead and peel back the plastic a little to sniff. Silence. “…can I claim this one?” 🤣 I told them those were made by the soap lady of UA-cam and her brother and suddenly it became imperative that they get to pick out a soap (because no, the answer is no, no one can claim my two. MINE. lol) from the site and see how their soap was made while sniffing it. I think we have a convert to the court!
I don’t comment often but girl you are a card! You had me giggling with you the whole video. You seem so fun to be around and I’m so happy you’ve put your wonderful self out there for others to benefit from your warm, light hearted and hilarious personality. You’re a beautiful human inside and out! I would LOVE if you did an all natural soap series!
I honestly prefer your studio being the background for the intros!! It’s always interesting to look at all the micas and I’m sure someone else must feel the same, so I consider changing back!
Katie, I feel like we would be best friends. I love how excited you get about your soaps, and you seem fun and silly but super caring and lovely. Seeing someone so relatable is so refreshing. Thanks for being you!
Hi Katie! Am a fan from the Philippines. Love that you’re using ylang ylang a flower native to our country. We gave it that name. It’s pronounce ee-lahng ee-lahng not yeelang yeelang.
I love when you do natural soaps, this one sound so nice! I would love nice patchouli inspired soap, maybe with natural green and cream hues? Again, love the natural soaps and the way you pull them off with a rustic yet rich feel.
I absolutely love this soap. That pink reminds me more of an antique rose. Actually the whole thing reminds me of an older home full of antiques. When you google antique rose lamp the colors of those lamps are the vibes I'm getting. Up until the end I wasn't sure how I'd like the soap but the end product is stunning.
Hi Katie. This video went up on the day my Dad died. I wish I had known about your channel then as it would have given me something surprisingly therapeutic to watch. Your voice is really soothing and your bubbly personality is beautiful. I've been watching your channel for a little while now and it's helped greatly whenever I'm feeling anxious or down. I think my Dad would have liked your channel too. (Love, from South Africa)
My mom bought this fancy super natural goats milk, charcoal, and oats soap on a whim once, and it's the only bar soap I can use on my face without breaking out and I love it so much
Goats milk, oat and honey is one of my favorite. With a little sweet almond oil too. I have overly sensitive skin. if i get pizza grease around my mouth, I WILL GET A PIMPLE. so i totally get it. glad you found somthing that works well for you.
I really enjoy all of your videos and think all your soaps are beautiful but this one is my all time favorite. Partly because of it being all natural ingredients and partly because it’s pink. It’s just so pretty!
Yes! More natural soaps with essential oils and natural colorants please. I have tried so many of your soaps and the natural ones are my favorite, especially the the bastille and the three layered one you made last Jan. Would love to see an entire collection of natural soaps :)
I'm loving the color on these bars! And the fact that they look so super soft just being held makes me really want to see more natural ingredients used inside soaps in the future
Even simple is fancy with you, I like it😻. Did you notice that Karen over at Eden's Secret gave a shout out to the "scrappy scrappy the contain-y" as well as big props to Katie yesterday
I know there's one sort of clay that is a light seafoam colour or maybe more of a muted Jade colour and I would really like to see a soap made with that clay
Bentonite clay too, If you are starting out making soap, This can speed up trace REALLY. FAST. So be careful. Both French clay and bentonite clay have a lot of great skin loving qualities.
Love these kinds of soap. As I age, I like things that make my skin look better and don't make me look like a shriveled up prune. I purchased some soap from a site and it was glycerin and I and my hubby weren't sure why our elbows were drying out. You mentioned that glycerin is very drying and you weren't kidding! I will continue to use my soap and yours. Thanks Katie. You are a true artist of soap. A.....SOAP ARTIST, right? :0D
I crave soaps with any of the following: goat milk, colloidal oatmeal, honey, lavender, vitamin e, and sweet almond oil! I have eczema, and I only use natural handmade soaps since they don’t make my skin break out. Many commercial soaps have all these additives, preservatives, and strong fragrances that make my skin get inflamed. I also love going to my local farmers market and buying handmade soap. However, I adore your soaps and will gladly buy a soap that works with my problematic skin.
I really like different textures inside, too! I like flowers, coffee grounds, walnut shells, chopped herbs, just about anything that makes the soap exfoliating and fun!
Same here! I love watching her create the fun, bold colors, and super glittery soaps, but I have been buying the more "natural" types. Especially since the artificial fragrance oils usually give me problems. So, without an in person "sniff test," I can't buy them.
I know the video is old, but seeing this specifically today really made my day! I just told my bf I'd love to try my hand at making soaps too when I can, but that's just when he told me that some soaps irritate his skin, and somehow seeing this all-natural soap after that convo just really really made me happy ^^
Kaolin & Rose clay are my favorites!! I’ve used them before from Ulta as a body wash 🧽🧼🛀🏼🛁 I will definitely be buying a few from you when it goes on sale💸💸💸💸
I love all your soaps but I just have to say your natural soaps have improved so much over time. They used to be bottom of the list to be me but now I absolutely love each one
Such a beautiful soap! I was laughing when you asked the question of the day, because I was just thinking that, although beautiful, I hate botanical bits on top of soap, because that means stuff I have to pick off to use it, so it doesn't dirty up my sink and clog my shower. Again, beautiful! But unnecessary.
5:30 it looked like mayo and ketchup (we call that cocktail sauce) while pouring it in. But not anymore after saponification. Essential oil blend sounds gorgeous.
Just received this soap yesterday! First, let me say how much I appreciate the shrink wrap. I arrived home to find my box had been sitting out in the pouring rain all day, and it literally dripped when I picked it up. I feared I would open up a box of suds, but no. Depsite the soaking, all of the soaps were dry! Now on to this amazing Rose Clay soap. The smell is the most calming earthy rose fragrance. It lathers up creamy and silky. An unplanned night at the spa! Thanks for your amazing videos and your fabulous energy and attitude!
I’m totally down for “all-natural-month!” Haha my skin is a pansy 😂 so skin pampering and natural tends to be my jam! Plus these are downright classic looking! Love it!

Katie you make beautiful soap, but I swear this is truly one of the most beautiful in it's pure simplicity. As for me I just love an organic soap with different milks, sometimes scented but mostly just plain. It always makes my skin feel like silk. I make soap for fun and give it away and the unfancy soap seems to be the big favorite among friends and family. I also use a lot of organic fruits like banana, avocado, cucumber, pumpkin and carrot and throw in oatmeal, kaolin clay, and honey in different combinations.

Oooo fall too! She could call it the witches collection
this is the prettiest soap design youve ever had
Agreed! It's gorgeous. And also I freaking love your name!
Please make more natural soaps!
