@@monicacarolina6480 I rewatched the parts with the growls and for the most part both Floor and Marko's faces are partially obscured by the microphones, so I admit I made an assumption due to the growl being so well done and Marko singing in a high register.
On repeat viewing it is more obvious, however being that this was the first time I had experienced this song I was trying to take everything in and was not focus only on what Floor was doing, which is likely what a majority of reactors care caught off guard by.
I'll definitely check out the Wembley performance, as I am really starting to vibe with their music now.

Yep, that was Floor growling! You should check out her growling with her previous band, Revamp - the song "Disdain". It's amazing!
Song #2 in the setlist, the opening song on this tour was "Shudder Before the Beautiful". Both songs from the current at the time album Endless Forms Most Beautiful, the first recorded with Floor on vocals and Kai Hahto on drums. Original drummer ,Jukka Nevalainen, stepped away from performing in 2014, during the recording of EFMB, due to health issues caused by severe insomnia, but he remains with the band in management. His friend Kai came from Wintersun.
This song , and to a lesser extent "Ghost River" at Wacken, is about all the growls you get from Floor with Nightwish (unknown if she does any on the new album yet). She did more of those with her previous band ReVamp, "Disdain" and "The Trial of Monsters" at Graspop 2010 if you want to check that out.
In 2005 they did a tribute song "High Hopes" to Pink Floyd , there's Marco on vocals and two good guitar solos in it

Yep, but it's been that way from day1 with NW. When they tried to get in label companies they got an response where label said they don't see any value in this band. Lmao, I bet that guy either got fired or at least lot of shit once they hit big with Sleeping Sun and Nemo songs
I knew you’d love this banger brother, Floor’s little surprise with her deep guttural growls, catches everyone off guard, the first time they hear it. Keep rockin!
The fact that it is combined with Marko singing in a high register and unless you can see them clearly at that moment ( which this the footage here didn't ), then it is an easy mistake to make.
I've been advised to check out the Wembley performance as it shows them a lot better, so I'll definitely check it out
Hello Dude. Loving how you continue down our Nightwish rabbit hole. Yep... a little hard to believe, but Floor was doing all the harsh growls on every chorus while Marko sings clean above her. Most people just can't bring themselves to understand it on the first go. Great job and thank you.

That was indeed, the sweet, sweet angelic voice of the Valkyrie Goddess doing the growling in the chorus underneath Marko's clean vocals😃 If you choose this for a redo, you might want to listen to the Wembley 2015 version, the mix is better there and the camera work makes it easier to see she's growling

You could check their tribute to Pink Floyd, High Hopes. Marko does the singing, and Emppu plays just wonderfully in that one.

LoL Marko does NOT growl. He had serious throat surgery on his vocal chords over a decade ago that almost ruined his voice.

Always be aware that on the album, you might get a different singer. (Not in this case though) Floor is with the band since the end of 2012. This is from her first album with the band "Endless forms most beautifull"

I think fewer than 100 commenters have mentioned it's Floor growling, what a lazy army! 😜😂 Anyway, I was wondering, do you know Wintersun? If not you might like to check out _Sons_ _of_ _Winter_ _and_ _Stars_ at Sonic Pump Studios. It's the same drummer you see here, Kai Hahto, and the Wintersun bassist also migrated to Nightwish after Marko's departure.
I have not heard Wintersun yet, but that song is on my list of songs to do

I just cannot fathom how one puts it "Marco is growling" as you so clearly hear him singing.. Though fantastic musician, still not a wizard, who can sing two things simultaneously...?
And it's not straight up critizism, i just truly wonder, as (for me) it's so clearly Marco's voice singing. But of course you have to know his voice first to recognize it. And i read the comments you were taken down a shortcut route - not getting you to know his voice first.
