Welcome to the world of symphonic metal! And thank you for checking this legendary band, performing in 2013 at Wacken Open Air festival, in front of a 82k+ audience.
About the instrumental and vocal added parts - it's good to know they recorded their orchestral and vocal back tracks with prestigious institutions as London Philharmonic Orchestra. London's The Metro Voices choir group and London's Young Musicians Children's Choir as their regular partners.
As I saw, you appreciate all the key elements of a Nightwish show: the timeless composition, the high level of musicianship of all the bend members, the heavenly voice of our Dutch metal queen, Floor Jansen, Welcome among us!
Since this is your first Nightwish reaction, it is my duty to give you the short history of the band concentrated by Ann Waychoff, one of the biggest Nightwish fan who has since passed away (and I am doing this in her memory):
" Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a Symphonic Metal band, with a female main singer. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrumentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just heard her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit, Decades live (Floor). I hope this helps.

(In sober reality, she prefers horseback riding to dragonslaying, which is about equally scary for me.)

Marko Hietala bass and vocals
Emppu Vuorinen guitar
Jukka Nevalainen drums, replaced in 2015 by his good friend Kai Hahto due to Jukka's insomnia.
Troy Donockley the multi-instrumentalist from the UK, not present on this performance.
And last but not least, Floor Jansen vocals, from the Netherlands.
She is the 3rd and current female lead vocalist of Nightwish from 2012 on.

Welcome to Floor Jansen, the 6' Valkyrie Goddess of Metal. You've heard about 40% of what she can do. I've heard her sing rock, metal, classical aria, country, lullaby, smooth jazz, pop and musical. I've heard her sing in English, Dutch, German, Finnish, Spanish, Italian and Latin. I've heard her do deathgrowls and hold a D6 for 8 seconds. And I've heard her do all those things live on stage. Sure, there are singers who can do any of the things she does better than her, but there's only one who can do all of them and sound great and convincing doing it all.
I completely agree, except for that part about other singers being better. Hehe.

- The Poet and the Pendulum (Wembley) 14 minutes >>> Doing some research on the background story for this song is very important to be able to appreciate the meaning of the lyrics.
- Greatest Show on Earth (Tampere) 21 minutes
1- Just do all the Wacken 2013 songs, they are all great.
2- Then the Wembley 2015 ones that are not part of the Wacken show.
3- Then the remaining songs from Tampere 2015 that were not in the previous 2 shows mentioned.
4- Then the older songs from Buenos Aires 2018 that were not in the previous 3 shows mentioned.
5- To see what they can do with a cover and if you like Marco's singing, watch their interpretation of Pink Floyd's High Hopes.
6- Then you can explore Floor's versatility with her band ReVamp's live performances of the songs Disdain at Graspop and Wild Card at Bloodstock.
7- And finally go in the deep end of the Floor talent pool by reacting to her performances on Beste Zangers in the order the episodes aired.
For the first 4 steps, you can alternate between shows, but I would recommend to still only take songs that are not performed in the previous shows mentioned, as they are ordered in audio quality from best to worst.

Nightwish is the official house band of the Gods of Asgard. She is not Xena, she is the 6' 1 Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and she is Dutch.
She can sing low, very low and very high and she has an Awesome Endurance. This is song nr.13 out of 15.
Seriously doubt that any pop divas can emulate Her...

This is my favorite Nightwish song.
Nothing is random in what you hear, everything is perfectly calculated and thought trough down to the last note of every musical organ you can and can't distinguish.
Holopainen (the keyboardist ) is a musical genius, add the talent of the other members, and you get an unforgettable musical experience out of this world.
The Dutch Goddess (Floor Jansen) is their 3rd singer, and in my opinion the most versatile and "right" for the band.
I hope to see them just once in my lifetime.

The drummer is "the Pirate" Jukka Nevalainen and the guitarist is "the Hobbit" Emppu Vuorinen. I love your reaction to this. I'm a long time metal fan - and never knew about nightwish untill about a year ago (I don't know how!). But I found them through a reaction video and absolutely love their stuff - especially with Floor. Of all the reaction videos I've seen on Nightwish - this is one of my favorites because I can see you getting sucked in just like I was. Great stuff!
Fun fact: Nightwish fire their second singer Anette in the middle of an ongoing world tour and have to give the next concert two days later. Floor got burned out during the South American tour of her band ReVamp and had to take a break. Nightwish called her if she could fill in in 48 hours. Had she asked a doctor, she should have refused. But Floor was and is one of the biggest Nightwish fans, already knew a few songs and couldn't say no. It quickly becomes clear that she is indispensable and after the tour is over she will also become an official member. She released another album with ReVamp, but instead of going on tour she disband the band.

Fun Fact: Floor is the Dutch form of the Roman goddess Flora, the goddess of flowers and plants. So no Valkyrie who brings dead heroes from the battlefield to Valhalla paradise or Xena. Even if the costume looks great on her ;-)

Welcome to Nightwish, the world's finest purveyors of Symphonic Metal. And welcome to Floor Jansen, our Valkyrie goddess with the voice of an angel, a devil and everything in between. "What else does she have? What else can she possibly have?" is a question best asked after a few more songs - you've only scratched the surface of this singer and this band. Floor can and will sing anything - she's a bottomless well of vocal talent. So it makes perfect sense that she'd be fronting one of the most talented live bands in the world, with nearly all the music and lyrics written by a flat-out genius composer (you barely noticed him there behind the keyboards).
"Wait a minute - she's singing this live?" No, it's "Wait a minute - she's singing this live, outdoors, in front of 82,000 people AND a film crew, headlining the biggest Metal festival in the world - and she's only been in the band for TEN MONTHS?" Yes, it's all true. Metal musicians, and Symphonic Metal musicians in particular, can't and don't hide behind AutoTune, tempo correction or any other studio tricks to make them sound better than they actually are. And live, there aren't any "back-up dancers" or flashy choreography to distract the audience from the singer's shortcomings. You have to be REALLY good to play this music, and even better to play it at this level.
You'll be getting lots of information and suggestions from the Nightwish Army - we're a really passionate bunch, but that's okay because the band we're so passionate about is just that good. You may expect to say "This is my favorite Nightwish song" - "No, THIS is my favorite Nightwish song" over and over, with every new song that you hear. Eventually, most people just give up and say "Nightwish is my favorite band".

I am English and from England and I know Medieval history, I also heard Medieval music and I can tell you that the start of Nightwish's Ghost Love Score is NOT medieval at all. Why Floor Jansen's voice sounds incredible live is because she is the greatest female singer on the planet FACT. Flood Jansen is married to Sabaton's drummer Hannes van Dahl, lucky geezer I and many male Nightwish/Sabaton fans love her and her Angelic voice. She is our dream girl. I am a Sabaton Fan but I have to admit that Nightwish is my second favourite band. Floor Jansen has been back up vocals for a couple of Sabaton songs including the latest one, which is the true story of the Christmas Truce which happened on Christmas day 1914 ( for Americans it is WW1). When British soldiers including our own Hertfordshire Regiment and the German soldiers, walked onto No Man's land to talk, smoke, exchange gifts, drink and play Football ( proper football not the game you play that has nothing to do with playing the game with only feet). Fun fact - several members are noted fans of Disney. One of their earlier songs, called "Fantasmic" is basically loaded with Disney references and the songwriter/keyboardist for the band Tuomas Holopainen wrote and released an entire Scrooge McDuck album.
