The Ordinary has a new retinal serum. They also have a sacchromyces exfoliating toner which seems interesting. What about retinyl esters? DRMTLGY has an eye cream with HPR and e.l.f. has a combo retinal/HPR serum. Paula's Choice has a 25% vit c (THD) and glutathione serum. Cosrx, Maelove and Peach and Lily have peptide serums (I believe the Maelove and Peach and Lily have copper peptide as well). Isdin has at least two sunscreens that have DNA repair enzymes. Thanks for the comment about over exfoliating.

Thank you for a great, easily understandable video that covers everything about anti-aging skin care. I’m glad that you mentioned peptides because I think they don’t get enough recognition. They’ve definitely helped kick up the results of my skin care regime, especially since I have difficulty using retinol.

I prefer "Well Aging" to "Anti-aging " I am currently 61 and start to see Mt face look like an egg. I can't afford fillers so it's all about skincare, diet and makeup application. Thank you for recommending products that are affordable. I don't mind the smile lines.. I so love to laugh.

I can't afford "full-time" fillers either! I get lip filler once a year, just before the holidays. I find it lasts about 8 months, AND it definitely has some permanent residual accumulation over time. Meanwhile, I also learned to subtly over line my lips, and use a lighter shade of lipstick to make them appear fuller. I love to laugh too! ❤

Thanks Dr. Sugar! Found the video very helpful! At 64 years young, I already do all these things but didn’t know about peptides. Also not planning to do any fillers or Botox. I am blessed to look younger than my years and I plan on ageing gracefully. Thanks for your great advice!

This video is a treasure trove of info with an awesome variety of recommendations. I wanted to share my personal experience with red light therapy for my skin complexity and wrinkles. My dermatologist suggested trying a panel from Future Form Official, and it has made such a difference. I was intrigued by the science behind it-there are so many scientific papers supporting its effectiveness.
Using the panel consistently has noticeably improved my skin’s texture and reduced fine lines. And surprisingly, it didn’t cost a fortune. Thank you for putting together such a comprehensive and helpful video!

Thanks for all that you do! Question;I work NOC shift and wake up at around 3pm to eat and then nap again, there are windows in the dining room where I eat, some visible light gets there, I heard that visible light from the sun can worsen hyperpigmentation, I already have some on my forehead and left cheek, I don’t wan’t it getting worse. So I heard that tinted sunscreen helps more to prevent hyperpigmentation as opposed to plain chemical sunscreen, I hate wearing tinted sunscreen if I’ll go to bed in a few minutes anyway after eating, I prefer to wear chemical sunscreen, at least it won’t stain my pillows when I nap again but I’m worried that the brief exposure to sunlight will cause my hyperpigmentation to get worse. I guess my question is can I get away with wearing non-tinted sunscreen on the brief moment i’m exposed to sunlight via the windows without worsening my hyperpigmentation? What should I do?

I'm in my late 50s, for me the vitamin-c serum that I love that I feel is reasonably priced is Timeless. It also has Vitamin E and Ferulic acid in it. It's one of the only ones that I see a difference in my pigmentation and Timeless doesn't add a lot of other ingredients like some over the counter vitamin-Cs like ROC which seems to add some flowery type of essence to it. ROC gave me a rash and seemed to have a lot of other added ingredients.

Is there some ingredient in the purple Olay Retinol cream which can cause acne in some people? Maybe some type of silicone (because the cream has a uniquely smooth texture) which prevents air from contacting the skin and could cause acne?
I watched many videos about retinol before using it, I used it for a few weeks with some breaks to decrease irritation, but still I feel like when I used it is continued to cause more acne.

    Dear Dr.,
I would be extremely grateful if you could answer my question. I am currently in a great deal of emotional distress. I am a 41-year-old woman, and five months ago, after receiving Botox injections for crow's feet, I developed a series of persistent lines at the corners of my eyes. I had no lines around or at the corners of my eyes prior to the Botox injections. I would like to know if RETINOL CORREXION Line Smoothing Eye Cream would help improve them. What is your recommended treatment? This is causing me a great deal of distress.

Have you used niacinamide before? If it did not work then maybe try using a serum with tranexamic acid and alpha arbutin, they are both good for pigmentation and can be found in a single product. And for the sunscreen, if you have fair skin, use a mineral sunscreen. Most on the market are chemical based for that lighter texture or sprayability and they have an advertised lifetime of like 2 hours. But the mineral ones don't really have a lifetime of efficacy. Tinted sunscreens with Zinc Oxide are the best if it looks fine on your skin tone.
