Hi. I am 51 and started getting serious about skin after following you. Been using Sunscreen and even started a retinol regime 6months ago. Its been the best decision i made for my skin. It looks great. Thanks. You have a fan in Kenya East Africa.
I’ve used Cetaphil for at least 17 years…timeless serums are great also ordinary. I’m in to save money - timeless have 40% discounts for Christmas. And CeraVe’s am and pm moisturizers are fantastic. I’m 64 and receive a lot of compliments on my wrinkle free face, I’ve been into skin face care since I was 16 and it has paid off. Stay away from the sun and use gloves while driving….at least if you are in Southern California. Great channel doc - thanks .
Amazing choices! Thank you so much for covering every part (along with products) of a daily skin care routine that this young lady (58🤣) could use! Dr. Sugai, I wish you and yours a blessed holiday season and I predict that by this time next year you will have tripled the amount of followers 💜🤙💜
Thank you so much you are the Derm God to me . Peace and Love to you and the family . Dr. Shaw and Maxwell are super stars also but you are to me the best. 😊
Skinceuticals Vitamin C does oxidizes quickly I’ve used that before. I also don’t like the pipet packaging of it where it exposes the solution to the air and litght constantly. I’ve switched to the 20% Timeless and never looked back. It’s a steal and works just as great. Never experienced oxidation until I finished a bottle. Great packaging with its opaque airless pump.
Thanks for a great video! Great, sensible, and affordable ideas! I love 5% THD Vit C by Vanicream, it's gentle and great for my sensitive skin. Beauty of Joseon has a retinal retin serum, it has .02% retinaldehyde that is great for sensitive skin on face and neck.
Hey Daniel! Did you take drawing/painting with Ka-Ning Fong at UH way back when? I was the middle-aged, chubby, Japanee lady art major. You've done so well for yourself and it was so lovely to see you on UA-cam. Geffum' Daniel! 🥰
I bought the Roc vit C serum because it was on sale at Costco. It made by face looked tanned/burned. Same thing happened with my hubby. In fact he was the one who noticed it first…..so we’re back to Vichy. It’s good our first experience with Vit C is Vichy.
Could you review eye creams/treatments? I am on a quest to improve my understanding of eye circles and wrinkles around my eyes. I have tried so many and most don’t really change the skin texture or appearance at all. Thank you, Doc!😊
For retinols, I am a partisan of Differin gel / adapalene. Realizing that it is an "only by itself" product and not part of more complex formulations, I still think it has made a big difference for me, and my fairly sensitive skin tolerates it well. Also, in my small town in Alaska, it is easier to find locally AND more affordable than most of the brand name retinol creams. Not available locally, but for acne, I have become a BIG FAN of the very affordable Peach Slices brand. They have the gentlest yet effective salicylic acid toner I have ever used, as well as some other lovely products. I am in my 50's struggling with acne and rosacea in a very dry winter climate.
Love your reviews! Sadly, my 65 years young, dry, sensitive skin doesn’t respond well to a lot of these pics (especially Cerave. I can’t even use the Cerave for my lips. I use Vaseline. Kiehl’s, the Hydro Boost line, Elta MD, nope). Some others I’m anxious to give a try. I’m fragrance-free all the way, even for shampoo. I live by EVY Kids for sunscreen. It ain’t cheap and it’s from overseas but I look forward to wearing it everyday. Doesn’t break me out or irritate my eyes and it keeps my pale skin white as a ghost (the other versions are not loved by my face). I’m camp Vanicream for a cleanser (which works best for dry skin if one uses an an oil cleanser prior, which I need to remove water resistant sunscreen. I use Vanicream cream for face and body. I do use a retinol, which has done wonders. Great suggestions, as usual! Keep ‘em coming!
Hey Dr. SPF! Great video - was curious about your thoughts on powder sunscreen. I like applying a mineral spf 50 lotion in the morning under my make up, then during the day I reapply using the SPF 50 mineral powder sunscreen from Brush On Block. It seems to work well for me but curious what you think - Happy holidays!
Thank you for your informative videos, Dr. Sugai! What do you recommend for sun spots on the back of the hands? I'm 51, and my hands are showing their age and want to get rid of the unsightly sun spots!
Hi Dr Sugai! Love your channel- fellow Washingtonian here (but I’m on the east side). Question- if I’m already using a prescription retinol from my derm, is there a reason to look in to some of the OTC retinol products you mention? Thanks for your content- I’m trying to get my 13 year old skin care obsessed daughter to take a listen- she loves all the fancy skincare she sees on Tik Tok but doesn’t wear a daily sunscreen (which is actually the only thing she needs at this point).. I got her to watch with me on Thanksgiving! Some more teen focused content would be great. I love showing her your channel and a couple other derms online. Happy Holidays!
Hi doctor Daniel, are you aware that Kheil’s has changed the third ingredient of their Ultra Facial Moisturizer, from dimethicon to cyclohexasiloxane. What’s your opinion on the cream after the change of ingredients?
Dear Doctor, its been a pleasure to have discovered your channel! I have enjoyed the results of your advice for at least 3 weeks now! I'm quite sincere! I have had an immediate benefit in skin appearance and comfort using your expertise! Your fun to watch and very informed, or rather very expert! Keep on going strong! Thank you FH
Hi Dr. Sugai. Ever since I had a really bad reaction to a facial serum solution that I got from Costco I'm hesitant to use anything on my face except moisturizer and sunscreen. The reaction I had was my whole face got so swollen, my eyes were swollen shut too. I knew it was the serum. Because to rule it out I tried it again and the same thing happened. I looked like an alien! I did not leave my room for three days! My primary provider prescribed me an epi pen just in case it might happen. But since then I have never applied anything to my face except those two I mentioned. I am so tempted to use the Vit C you always mention. It happened 5 years ago. I'm now 74 years old . I can say my skin is good . But very tempted to try your recommendations. What do you think?
Looking for a routine for my mid 60’s skin. Mostly dry skin and I didn’t really have a good routine in my youth. If sunscreen gets in my eyes from sweat it ruins my day. So I don’t use it.
Hi Dr Sugai, i enjoy watching your channel ever since I found you 10months ago. I have hyperpigmentations and malasma appearing since last year. May I seek your advice if I could layer the following products for my night routine: Vichy B3 serum, Cerave skin renewing nightly exfoliating treatment, Cerave resurfacing Retinol Serum?Thank you❤
I have super dry skin that it hurts. I want to stop washing my face in the morning to see it that helps the dryness. So in the morning what would be my skin routine do I reapply moisturiser then vitamin C ending with suncreen..?HELP

Don't forget the women in their 70's!!!
THANKS so much for your videos.
I appreciate them.
