@@BEEBEE159 no that is not true... I see mopeds and scooters every day... and I've never gotten stopped for having a 2 stroke... long as you have it set up like a moped and stay off the sidewalk while your engine is running you should be alright...

I have a proprietary coaster brake removal process thats simple enough to complete with simple hand tools in about 20 min. Its a brake shoe and slight modification to the spring clutch device inside. brake arm removal is optional ( I usually leave them intact just for fun )
Yeah, i accidentally totally disassembled my coaster brake hub when just trying to remove the arm. I learned more about coaster brakes than I ever wanted to know, having to struggle to put it all back together.
So cool. So you can hook up lighting system to the extra white wire? And how did you manage to fit the right side blinker into the handle bar with the twist throttle? Thank you
Running off the motor turned out to be a bit more involved than I thought it would be :( I ended up just using a 12 volt batter bank that would run everything for weeks b4 needing a charge. For both sides of the bars you just cut out the end of the grips and slide them in :)
@@LAHover awesome thank you, so i can cut the throttle grip and it won't effect it huh? Hmmm interesting. I do have a spare so I will try it on there thank you so much appreciate your feedback. I bought a bike that has been through the ringer. It works ok but needs some help. I love your video, can you offer any help. I also have parts ordered for it.
@LA Hover Did you need something between the battery and the lighting, like a controller? I assume you got the barrel connector wired up to the straight wires somehow...
Do you think you could do a upgrade version of this'll video but have everything running off a 12v rechargeable battery 🔋 and using led lights and you can use with a razor mx650. Thanks
I've built my own lightning system from scratch it runs on 12v 3.5amp motorcycle battery the headlight is a 35w halogen im just installing it into my electra custom frame i have a few short vids on my channel
3A is a LOT for the generator addon. Where i lived in the US, we didn't need any of that stuff, and couldn't register it even if we wanted to. And they are 100% street legal for anyone with a valid drivers license. I did however add all the lights and stuff but that's just for my safety, not for any legal reason. Not sure what state you're in though. I however painted my bike to make it look really pretty. If the bike looks like a messy unsafe POS, you're more likely to get pulled over than if it's something that looks well put together and looks really nice. So i'd suggest painting the petrol tank with something that is petrol/oil resistant. As well as keeping the bike clean and shiny.
This is how mine looked. In the process of replacing the engine, but i live in a different place now with even looser restrictions. photos.app.goo.gl/7X1BJcPRpyt4VXei8
And cops... what i do is just hit the kill switch anytime i see cops. And peddle try to peddle all the time just the act of peddling no strength behind it.
It becomes a "moped" they give you a vin plate. Depending state to state is different.. but depending on how hard your state is on emissions and depending on if mopeds need to pass emissions in your state these chaina dolls wont pass. But dont worry you can buy "flying horse" epa kit or maybe just the exhaust im sure you can find it used since no one runs the epa exhaust from that kit you lose a lot of power with it.. but to pass inspection if needed 2 nuts take 2secs to swap out
@@possibleproblem479 not sure you lied to you.... but even if you do have a big bore sleeve head you still can get it tagged as a moped 1st off mopeds go up to 125cc different states have different laws i know but i know actual mopeds come in 125s so say you for some reason report the big bore upgrade instead of just reporting the stock motor size you could still get it tagged no matter what even if for some crazy reason they wont tag it as a moped which i dont under why they wouldn't even with the George Washington mentality they can still tag it as a custom moped or custom motorcycle

I’m thinking about putting together a bike build, but I have a question, I don’t know if it is possible on my bike because the previous owner modified the handlebars to be bullhorn style, and it still has standard grips, and I don’t know if it would be possible to install the accelerator grip. (On the normal grip spot) What do you think?
Hey I was wondering about where you got that lighting system from (taillights, turn lights and horn) and how did you wire them up to the magnetto Edit:and where can I find a dual brake lever to have both in one hand If you could provide me links for everything it would be awesome as I started this hobby from watching your videos and I got lots of my friends hooked on these 66cc beasts
I have that same bike computer on my build, you said the light doesn't stay on, but it can, press both buttons at the same time, and the light will remain on.
I recommend to get a new hub and axle. You can remove coaster brakes if you took out everything it will work but NOT SAFE its a 50/50 just opens the door for issues. So your best bet is getting a h.d axle/hub kit the sell them on BBR and motorbikes they around $50 it will give you a drum brake great brake to have and a better way to put on sprocket. A bike shop should be able to build rim using the huffy rim just swap hubs for another $20-30

23:21 I'm using a Makita 18v cordless drill battery with a 12v stepdown converter on my street legal CR80, since it doesn't have a charging coil. Battery lasts the entire day even with the headlight on (it's illegal to turn it off while riding on the streets).
Hello. I love your content. I need help wiring my turn signals and horn. I have the same turn signal switch and horn switch assembly as you are using on your cranbrook. But I cannot figure it out. I do not have a wiring diagram can you help me with this issue?
Hello, I’m trying to find some good mirrors that don’t block my shifting and those mirrors look great! Do you happen to remember where you got them from and possibly have a link for them??
They ended up being junk. The inserts disintegrated after about a month sorry. You might find better ones by searching for "bar end turn signal mirrors"
Here in California as of January 2024 motorized bicycles are classified as mopeds and require one time registration as plate minimum M2 license a DOT approved helmet, no signals are required yet, just headlight & taillight visible from 500 ft. I'm using a cateye led bicycle taillight and instead of running a generator for headlight on 4 stroke which only one company seems to offer from bike berry are pricey ,went for a habor freight auxiliary H3 light replaced with led bulb and 12V rechargeable 1200ma lithium ion battery which draws 0.41 amps gives me about 2.5 hours maybe more haven't tested it my rides are rarely at night and usually no more than 20 minutes long each way so it's more than I need.
Hello again brother...i was just watching your video again...lol...but iv got the exact same cdi kit that you got ..and wanted to let you know I used that spark plug too and with all of that iv been 48 mph once I don't ride like that all time I stay at 35-40 mostly 35 I don't want a ticket for speeding...im running the seeutek engine also...i put a g2 reed valve and a PHBG 19mm carb......how is the YD coming along??
Wisconsin actually has some good motorized bike laws. Up to 130cc and no lights as long as it's day time. For once they're actually less strict than most states.
im looking to do the same sort of lighting thing for my bike but im not experienced with the electronic parts of bikes. i was wondering if you could reply with everything you used for your lighting system like horns lights battery nd maybe a link to a wiring diagram if its not too much trouble. you earned a sub btw great job on your bike
If you got rubber motor melts and box in the engine make that engine much quieter also add a converter AND a good Muffler will quite not engine down quite a bit it's possible you might not even hear that engine when it's running
I am using the break set in the link below. I am also using a dual break lever. These motors tend to start easy the more you ride them. I also clean the carb once a month. www.amazon.com/Sunlite-MX-Side-Pull-Set/dp/B000AO9NYA/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=bike+brake+set&qid=1600242380&sr=8-8
We did a run down of each part towards the end of the video, you should be able to find each one. Sorry I did not link them in the disco, but I'm not sure how well they are going to handle being on a motorized bike yet... So far they are doing ok. I'll have a review of each part in a future video.
LA Hover not a problem, I found most of the parts by searching their names. I’m looking to put together a light kit myself, but I’m definitely not as versed with electrical systems as I am otherwise.
Bro I just got a bike because of watching all your videos and it’s a 2 stroke that’s like very very sketchy (multi gear turned into single speed) but man now I want to make videos lol
Please please please tell me how to get your bike to idle so good, I can't get mine to idle at all its either too low and it dies or it revs to the moon
Could be a few things. Air leaks around the crab / intake, base gasket, crank seals, etc, are common. Try the simple stuff first. Clean the carb and jet, also try lifting the needle one notch. This video may help, good luck! ua-cam.com/video/JmBzrRsSTxU/v-deo.html
@LAHover the intake gasket to the jug is new (which I cut myself) out of felpro, there Is an o-ring in the snout of the carb to help sealing, I have yet to change the bottom jug gasket and head gasket since I bought the bike, I'll watch the video and I'll let you know if I helps. Thank you so much
I removed the coaster brake on a bike that I call "clown bike" I took everything apart and Gutted the entire assembly except for the components that are required for rolling (bearings etc) I didn't actually find this to difficult.
Old video, I don't remember what was on this build. Best CDI and Mag combo I have used so far is from DLH Performance. dlh-performance.myshopify.com/products/powerstorm-ignition-system
Complaining about you rolling through stop signs but you remind me of a joke that a State trooper once told me about. He pulled the man over for rolling through a stop sign and the man started to argue with him why should he have to stop if there's no cars coming. State trooper explained that Hill demonstrate why he needed to stop and took out his. He began to tap on the man's head with the knife stick and asked him now you want me to stop or slow down. State trooper claims the man got the point. LOL
No nitro and I've been doing a full curcit electrical kit with gps dule hand brake same as a normal car motorbike can run solar, Ac 5v charger 1amp rate, or on the dynamo 6w battery supplys and drop when full to the lighting kit. And foot peg led 3 pin types and 2 types Ir and lined as the front is on suspension 😕 9v front light main 2 3.7v backup but can use 5v 9v 12v set as well as horn on a 12 song kit one for now, gps, indicator, hazard and brake kit hand made! But should be a good application 😆. As a few back there was not one worth the cash on and this one from china was like 200 bucks for one front or back and like 20 dollors worth so went to make my own for the industry hopefully in the next year or so with a full tested kit for market use you could basically add all after market led fits on top.

By China standards they are 80cc, by USA standards they are 66cc... There is also a 49cc version that looks identical to the 80/66cc. Many people will mark their motors as 49cc to stay legal.

@@jeremiahacree8896 I thought the cops would pull you over because the 2-strokes put out a lot of smoke and make a lot of noise, compared to 4-stroke engines. Do you know of any way to quiet the 2-stroke engine, so it's not too offensive in the public? Regarding the smoke, if I remember right, there is a brand of 2-stroke oil that claims to burn clean, with no smoke. I think I saw it at Walmart or Lowes. Have you ever heard of it?
@@BEEBEE159No just obey the road laws... I use pennzoil outboard oil mixed to 40:1 and don't have any problem with smoke...and there are several sites that sell exhaust silencers and the stock exhaust is pretty quiet and they are cheap...just type in motorized bike exhaust or silencers

I learned more about coaster brakes than I ever wanted to know, having to struggle to put it all back together.
same... lesson learned, not worth dealing with for me lol
Because you helped me with some ideas for my bicycle I'm gonna subscribe to you just to show my support to your channel
By the way watch all your videos , Build Break n fix as well as johnnies love them all up and are very informative......
Awesome, thank you!
My 10-year-old and I just got one and we have learned a lot from you, even got The Firestorm zeda because you recommended it. Thank you for all you do
I bought a bike that has been through the ringer. It works ok but needs some help. I love your video, can you offer any help. I also have parts ordered for it.
@LA Hover Did you need something between the battery and the lighting, like a controller?
I assume you got the barrel connector wired up to the straight wires somehow...
My dream would be to attach a massive co2 canister connected to a train horn. The sound would be hilarious
Lol
Lil 8v pump and a horn with the engines power would be a cool setup
Do you think you could do a upgrade version of this'll video but have everything running off a 12v rechargeable battery 🔋 and using led lights and you can use with a razor mx650. Thanks
Can you make a video of how to put the whole thing together?? Please, cause I can’t find any video on YT to help out
I've built my own lightning system from scratch it runs on 12v 3.5amp motorcycle battery the headlight is a 35w halogen im just installing it into my electra custom frame i have a few short vids on my channel
In the four states Iv'e had these bikes, the one thing that is not allowed is a clutch. In Oregon the rules vary from city to city.
That’s a pretty stupid law😂
@@LazyBunnyKiera nice
And cops... what i do is just hit the kill switch anytime i see cops. And peddle try to peddle all the time just the act of peddling no strength behind it.
As long as you don’t get above 25 mph you’re fine 🤗 mine gets up to 23mph and haven’t had a problem with police yet
Peddle backwards
Love the quality of this video! You gained a new sub :)
Thanks for the sub!
It becomes a "moped" they give you a vin plate. Depending state to state is different.. but depending on how hard your state is on emissions and depending on if mopeds need to pass emissions in your state these chaina dolls wont pass. But dont worry you can buy "flying horse" epa kit or maybe just the exhaust im sure you can find it used since no one runs the epa exhaust from that kit you lose a lot of power with it.. but to pass inspection if needed 2 nuts take 2secs to swap out
mine isn’t street legal since it’s 90cc which sucks. even if I get it registered and insured I’m still not allowed to use it on the street
@@possibleproblem479 i have all my scooters ( 50s) tagged as mopeds in my state they have they have to be 50cc under for scooter to be tagged as mopeds and all mine are actually 203cc the have big bore stroker kits on a swapped out 150
Speak for your state ...PA bikes are not motor vehicles aa long as it has pedals and cops could careless
Hey Hover! I got one of these kits for a bike I had I have a 15 inch frame tube height I don’t know if it’s big enough it has the proper with of the tubes what’s the size of your bike?
Nice build btw
where did you get all these parts?
Like the 49cc stickers
I’m thinking about putting together a bike build, but I have a question, I don’t know if it is possible on my bike because the previous owner modified the handlebars to be bullhorn style, and it still has standard grips, and I don’t know if it would be possible to install the accelerator grip. (On the normal grip spot) What do you think?
Is the stock rear hub holding up OK? I've heard people say its junk but that was on forums that are 8 yrs old...
I ran into an issue trying to readjust the cup and cone after I took off and reinstalled the coaster break arm. I could never get it right...
Hey I was wondering about where you got that lighting system from (taillights, turn lights and horn) and how did you wire them up to the magnetto
Edit:and where can I find a dual brake lever to have both in one hand
If you could provide me links for everything it would be awesome as I started this hobby from watching your videos and I got lots of my friends hooked on these 66cc beasts
I can't see the battery,where is it?
I have that same bike computer on my build, you said the light doesn't stay on, but it can, press both buttons at the same time, and the light will remain on.
I recommend to get a new hub and axle. You can remove coaster brakes if you took out everything it will work but NOT SAFE its a 50/50 just opens the door for issues. So your best bet is getting a h.d axle/hub kit the sell them on BBR and motorbikes they around $50 it will give you a drum brake great brake to have and a better way to put on sprocket. A bike shop should be able to build rim using the huffy rim just swap hubs for another $20-30
Thanks for the info.
Enjoy your videos bro
(Arkie in San Antonio) I've removed the COASTER BRAKE all of my builds ,all Cranbrooks so far if you find the right directions on line it only takes about 15min walks you all the way through it. 20:59
23:21 I'm using a Makita 18v cordless drill battery with a 12v stepdown converter on my street legal CR80, since it doesn't have a charging coil. Battery lasts the entire day even with the headlight on (it's illegal to turn it off while riding on the streets).
I wish you would have filmed the brake removal but I think that I have only seen the removal of the brake arm!
Ya I wanted to but I hit a wall after removing the break shoes. I'm almost certain I was doing it wrong...
I'm not sure but I believe you need yellow side reflectors in the front and red side reflectors in the back
I think you are right, as they are on my dual sport as well
@@LAHover omg, the legend actually responded😂
your light gets very bright did you get it at walmart
i asked this before you showed the new magneto
He man, you forgot to stop at each stop sign.

I had no problem removing the coaster broke of course its easy when you have the right tools
Hello again brother...i was just watching your video again...lol...but iv got the exact same cdi kit that you got ..and wanted to let you know I used that spark plug too and with all of that iv been 48 mph once I don't ride like that all time I stay at 35-40 mostly 35 I don't want a ticket for speeding...im running the seeutek engine also...i put a g2 reed valve and a PHBG 19mm carb......how is the YD coming along??
good to know about the included plug, thanks.
Wisconsin actually has some good motorized bike laws. Up to 130cc and no lights as long as it's day time. For once they're actually less strict than most states.
Here in Pennsylvania they said as long as it’s under 125cc you’re good. They said lights and helmets are a suggestion.
im looking to do the same sort of lighting thing for my bike but im not experienced with the electronic parts of bikes. i was wondering if you could reply with everything you used for your lighting system like horns lights battery nd maybe a link to a wiring diagram if its not too much trouble. you earned a sub btw great job on your bike
if anyone has done something similar to this please reply because i really need this
are the voltage stabilizers expensive? i think i can build my own
If you got rubber motor melts and box in the engine make that engine much quieter also add a converter AND a good Muffler will quite not engine down quite a bit it's possible you might not even hear that engine when it's running
im planning on doing something similar to my cranbrook. what brakes did you use? also how did you get your bike to start so easily?
I am using the break set in the link below. I am also using a dual break lever. These motors tend to start easy the more you ride them. I also clean the carb once a month.

do you have a link for the break switch?
I took my coaster break and the rim eventually separating from the bearing, the arm held it together in, idk, but had to get a new rim.
Where did the regulator / rectifier come from (ebay , amazon , ?)
Do you have the build for the engine in this bike? And what year is this cranbrook?
Seeutek PK80. And it's a 2017 Cranbrook
Sounds good
is the engine on that a pk80?
I have a similar bike speedometer, it keeps the backlight on if you hold both buttons for a couple seconds, might work for you, might not.
ya I'll need a new one, this one has it's readings flying all over the place.
can you post some links to where you got this stuff?
If you have links to these, please post them! I've been looking for a similar setup for ages, haven't found a single wire-able signal setup yet!
Good stuff :)
Bro I just got a bike because of watching all your videos and it’s a 2 stroke that’s like very very sketchy (multi gear turned into single speed) but man now I want to make videos lol
I wana ask you opinion about the mechanical speedometer/odometer
I'm not sure what wheel size they are calibrated for. If your wheels are too big it will read fast.
Why did u not put links to anything you have ??
Can you put links to everything you bought?
In this video you took the coaster brake off that is all I have used on the rear wheel
The coster break process is hell I completely took the hub apart had to find replacements parts because money then I had to figure the ish 😞 ut

Please list the parts you used and where you got them from 17:26. A List with links would be better than listing parts in the video.
Listing fee is $35

You should slip them so the under the bars and can see behind you better just look down and you'll see behind you. Just a thought
Have also removed coaster brakes without issues, lasted for many years.
If possible could you send me links to mag.,CDI, magnet, step down you used. I would greatly appreciate it.
Old video, I don't remember what was on this build. Best CDI and Mag combo I have used so far is from DLH Performance. dlh-performance.myshopify.com/products/powerstorm-ignition-system
doesn't that magneto have three wires?
Complaining about you rolling through stop signs but you remind me of a joke that a State trooper once told me about. He pulled the man over for rolling through a stop sign and the man started to argue with him why should he have to stop if there's no cars coming. State trooper explained that Hill demonstrate why he needed to stop and took out his. He began to tap on the man's head with the knife stick and asked him now you want me to stop or slow down. State trooper claims the man got the point. LOL
That’s funny because I don’t even slow down at the stop signs

No nitro and I've been doing a full curcit electrical kit with gps dule hand brake same as a normal car motorbike can run solar, Ac 5v charger 1amp rate, or on the dynamo 6w battery supplys and drop when full to the lighting kit. Going the bike industry as it will fit in a 50mm frame hopefully the 25mm but will need to wait and see.
Update on the bike? I want to do something similar.
Sorry, but I gave up on the charging system and just went with a power bank.
It seems like if I add more oil ti mix it slows it down a lot but I dnt want to mess engine up .I really dnt think more oil will but shit who knows
ok im confused when you order they say 80cc..can someone explain how its a 49cc instead of a 80cc? i been thinkin about building one of these..they look like fun and could hel;p save gas in car if i just need to get somethin simple and small..
By China standards they are 80cc, by USA standards they are 66cc... There is also a 49cc version that looks identical to the 80/66cc.
Many people will mark their motors as 49cc to stay legal.
@@LAHover oh ok thank ypu for clarifying that.
