  • Apologies for the Poor Video Quality.
This video details the process of me switching the engine from my motorized bike, on to a new bicycle. This was technically for a school project, but its something that I have wanted to do for a long time!
This was filmed in November, and December of 2020.
    Music in the Video:
    The Beacon - Zachariah Hickman
    The Colonel - Zachariah Hickman
    Climbing - Reed Mathis
    Outlaw's Farewell - Reed Mathis
Outlaw's Farewell (part II) - Reed Mathis

First of all great job on the build swap, I love the Hurry Cranbrooks for motorized bike builds... very comfortable frames woth a good cushy seat.
You may have figured this put by now since this was all 3 months ago, but I highlt recommend witching the spring chain tensioner....
Use a tensioner that cant give way when the clutch is released to start engine and ill the tension on the chain transfers to the power chain area.
Ive seen engine cases busted because of those type tensioners on motorized bikes that can cause the chain to jump a tooth and bunch up under clutch arm cover.
Best option is to get some half links and adjust chain so that it doesn't need a tensioner. at all if possible.

The only criticism I have is actually a tip for the future .
Had you painted the areas of the boxes white first it would have been less taping for your final coat of red .
I'm definitely not trying to give you any guff . I'm an old guy so it brings me much pleasure in seeing a young man get his hands dirty .
I've assembled a few of these units and the sweetest thing they have taught me that transfers to automotive is if you strip a bolt or hole you can add fine copper wire in the hole or around the fastener to make it grab .
    Ride on !!!

When ur chain jammed up around the engine drive sproket - it's a common occurrence with these 2 stroke engines. You can either fit a spring-loaded tensioner OR get a 'block' a couple of places make that u'd mount inside there to take up the space to prevent it from happening. The tensioner is the easier way.

You need rear view mirrors, at the speed those bikes go, you don't have time to turn around to see what's coming up on you. Car drivers DON"T watch out for you, you must watch out for yourself. You are invisible to car drivers, or, at least you should ride like you're invisible, and, you might live longer. Nice looking bike, clean, not too busy, Like the paint. You might want to try automotive lacquer paint, next paint job, it's much tougher finish, with clear on top. Use self etching primer.

Wish you the best on the huffy frame, I have around $700 into the bicycle side of my cranbrook alone. I seem to have outgrown my cranberry and will be transferring all my parts to a felt chief eventually. 1st gear likes to twist the rear end a little with my shift kit on a nexus 3 speed with an ungoverned 53cc 4 stroke.
Brakes, brakes, brakes. I cannot say it enough. Rim brakes front and back minimum. A coaster brake almost killed me going 35 mph between a bus and a semi truck. Damn thing locked up and pedals nearly tossed me off. Ditch the stock fenders, they rattle off and get twisted in your wheels.

Lol oh no.all u had to do was hold clutch in and put stomach on seat and reverse the bike a few times .make sure u use idle pulley or what I do is just ut chain down to fit with out the pulley. If u use pully drill a whole In Center of pulley through the bike and bolt it down using lock tight
