If you loosen (not remove) the other nuts on the clutch cover, the recommended amount of oil goes right in. It also works for removing the old oil when changing it. Just remember to tighten them back again. I love this motor. I've heard it was a slow engine, but mine can do about 40 mph and climbs even steep hills with little effort. My husband thought his motor was faster, but I waved at him as I passed him on a steep hill. And on a straight stretch. It has some power. Don't rely on the pull start. I was never able to pull-start it (I'm a 63 year old lady), I just don't have the upper body strength, and it broke right away anyway. It's a dam good engine. It was my first build, and I really didn't have any problem installing it. I had to buy a crank adapter because my crank was a one piece, and I did put in a hub adapter eventually. Otherwise, it was not a difficult build.
I have been waiting for this vid... this is an very entertaining motor, i had a motorized bike once with a aluminum frame powdercoated yellow with an standard motor (80cc) 21mm pwk. it runned fine, actually it had so much power it ripped all the spokes...
You should try using a milwaukee 12v batery instead of the one it comes with it should work and it can be mounted to the frame with a small 3d printed adapter
From what I remember of working on mine, it has a 6 pole stator capable of 60W output. It's identical to the 6 pole stator used in the various GY6 engine variants.
I'm really really glad you did this. I was wondering about this type for awhile now. And pretty much thought as you mentioned stick with the regular two stroke
I love these motors. Low vibration and they are reliable from my experience. I run the 100 with a 36 tooth sprocket. The only problem i see is the head gets hot on long rides in the hot summer. Looking forward to see how you modify your 80.
It sounded pretty good. Thanks for showing the problems too.I've looked at the kits, but at @2x a regular kit,I'll just pedal to start.I don't recall ever seeing a 'centrifugal clutch' in 1.I've seen a way to adapt 1 in,but that's neat it's built in.It'll be interesting to see how well it handles your rides.Thanks.
I think there was a centrifugal clutxh kit for sale, there just wasn't many of them due to low demand. Those kits didn't have a bucking bar and clutxh cam at all. They had a one way bearing to be able to pedal start the bike
@@Matthew-wj8cm First of all, they are still being sold. Second, as im running one right now, I can definitely assure you it still has its bucking bar installed. The clutch replaces your engine's drive gear, which allows you to still use your bucking bar to disengage the engine with the manual clutch.
I freakin had to pound my bt100 cylinder off with a hammer it was seized so bad. I then put the bottom end in the bath tub and flushed it out with dawn soap, drained it, sprayed it with silicone oil then installed a homemade head gasket. I then put an old scratched and toothpaste polished piston and cylinder on. It runs great.
One of the better out the box kits you can get, been runn8g mine for three years now still have to crack the case. I have four BT motors all have been flawless. If you are overwhelmed by a crappy China doll then amortized bike is not for you,, but a skateboard came stay in your lane
Interesting to watch I’m happy to see there’s no mental shavings in the ports considering getting one now and the oil helps the clutch separate and not stick the friction plates from aluminium plates so clutch would have hard time disengaging also could cause premature wear as you said I’d imagine it’s a simulator clutch to a Honda gx 2:1 reduction gearbox if adding performance and clutch starts slipping could be possible to stack extra clutch fiction and metal plates on top of one another for extra grip
I'd love to see a different jugon one of these. Keep US posted. I'd love one of these. My first dream kit Back in 2016 when these came out. Sadly they still don't ship to europe cheap, 300 buck shipping on a 300 buck motor, no thanks
@lahover love your videos bro I sit back an watch your vids for hrs evreyday haha actually got me into the hobby itself got a Amazon kits an it has put a huge smile on my face an from watching your channel so much an getting so much from it I just created my first UA-cam channel aswell for motorized bikes an outdoor hobbies mostly the motorized bikes tho
Awesome video! Thats a neat little engine kit to be honest with you. I just found my next saw bottom end. Athena would be killer too. But thats a decent little kit for what it is i guess.
I cant afford one but would like to try one sometime!! Nice vid bud,, i just found a sweet Nel lusso cruiser in the woods and walked it home, gonna build somthing on that !!
This is very cool, I have been wanting to see or get one of these for all the same reasons your saying. I think it looks very well made for one of these kits and that crank looks super cool and very intriguing. Thanks for video sry I’m late to party but it never came up n I had to look your channel up to see what’s up.
I though about getting the bullet train when I got my first kit. Glad I didn't because I had working on wiring. I got the BT100 instead and it's a work horse. I drive it every day in a hilly town and it handles everything with no problem. Do you have any plans in the future doing a review of that kit? If not, I get it; you've got a lot of other things to review. I was just curious.
Great video man. The engine design still needs to get away from that one off exhaust. I hope we see a follow up video from you soon. Too much nuclear powered stuff showcased lately from ya. Glad to see gas powered video again in the mix.
Great video! This would be awesome to add USB ports. Any thoughts on doing a long multi-day bike and camping trip? Maybe tow a luggage trailer of some sort?
What should i replace/do if the clutch went out. When i pull it, it does nothing… it slowly went out but am unsure what went out lol. (Edit: It was perfect for a half yr and its been 2 years now and is went out)
Only thing about that, It's no longer a motorized bicycle. Now it's fishly a labeled a moped.. And you will now need a driver's license and a license plate.. Where I live at you'll just get pulled over more..
I think if you rest the engine every 30 miles and let it cool down completely, you can travel until you run out of road. Just take an extra tube or patch kit and an inflator, some basic tools, and water to stay hydrated. Just my opinion, good 👍 luck to you!
Hey Man, love watching all your videos, im currently installed my second on my Roadmaster granitepeak, this motor has the smaller mounts n its black, I been trying to make it work, been having issues with mounting, I did do some porting n may have to upgrade to a better carb, I like the power it has, just need more gas, I have the NT carb with the long offset manifold, but I been able to figure it out so far, thanks for videos 😊
my {BT electric start motor) the transmission is slipping on both of my motors that i bought and i cant find any thing that will help me fix it theres nothing on it both motors ran good till this happened not happy at all has the transmission been slipping on any ones motor out there?this has happened to both my engines and im not happy about it cant find nothing about how to fix it.
Maybe one of you can help me I have the bullet train installed the engine runs and starts but I'm getting absolutely no power to the drivetrain how do I fix this issue what should I buy to fix this issue so I can resolve it not have to ride the bus
hey man ive been watching your videos and the one from two years ago where you help people choose a motor and i was wondering if you think it would be a good idea to put a zeda 80 on a old occ chopper ive been wanting to work on it but idk what sprocket would work either tho
Because our mountain retreat center is off-grid it would be really sensible to do some charging during the commute up the very steep Logging road does this motor have a really solid low-end power production..?.. Can it really pull and output torque at low RPMs for very very steep hills?.. what would you suggest for long distance and really steep commuting?
It comes with a 44 tooth sprocket, so it takes hills well. You can always put on a bigger sprocket if needed. It has a lot of power. Just my opinion, of course. Best of luck to you. I hope you figure it out.
Mines electrical components off the engine crank failed. No spark. Replaced cdi still nothing. Would you know where to find the electrical components located behind pull starter??

good idea!
I used a small motorcycle battery in the one I built.
