    I have been the" unsuspecting" L.O of a fellow co-worker who disclosed to me that he had been sexually wanting me for 35 years. During those times we were both involved with significant others for a long time. We all used to go to parties together and it never ever crossed my mind that he viewed me this way. When my long term relationship ended, he knew and came in "full force". He disclosure all of his sexual fantasies he had of me and wanted to know if I felt the same. I was so horrified very angry and traumatized by knowing he hid this and pretending to be a friend to me for so long. I felt so violated . I immediately went No contact and blocked his number. I grieved what I thought was a platonic, authentic friendship. That door is shut for good.. I do not wish this on anyone. I felt his "friendship "was a lie for 35 years ...

    10:23 This was me. I was the spouse who should have set limits and I didn't. She left 5 or 6 times for months at a time. I have no idea where she went each time, before she vanished the last time. My wife abandoned her life here in Missouri, abandoned her children and grandchildren, abandoned most of her possessions and moved to LA to be with some guy.
    My wife is a very good actress. She pretends to be someone that she is not. Sadly, she is a full on narcissist and now is caught in limerence.
    I don't think that things are going to go well for her when the new guy discovers who she is.

    Hi Fenna,
    If you’d be interested in doing a video on “when your LO dies,” I would appreciate that.

    I felt like a puppet on a string when it came to LO, I had no free will anymore it was horrible, I completely lost my own personality.

    The partner/ spouse of a person that goes limerant usually has an insecure attachment style. A confident person wouldn’t put up with this.
    He did this to me friendzoned me and then said I was the love of his life and back again.
    He did it with 2 women.
    We have a young child and if we didn’t I would’ve blocked him on everything and never looked back.
    I’ve gotten so used to be on my own emotionally. It’s been brutal.

    Hi...would this be applicable to someone who is having an affair where the limerence is being reciprocated by the LO or only where the limerence is one sided?

    3:30 How long does it last ? - If there is NOT a relationship being established between the limerent and the person he / she is infatuated with - the limerence can last for MANY years. It ends either when they do get into a relationship (the illusions do not survivie contact with reality and everyday life it seems, even IF they stay together, the kind of emotions will change) OR if one of the persons goes No Contact the limerence will ievitably end.
    Especially if the more infatuated person decides and makes an effort to go no contact. If their LO cuts them off they can secretly obsess about being dumped and remain hooked fr years and years.

      @followingfenna  8 місяців тому +1

      Even when you are dumped, its more likely the limerence will fade, since limerence needs hope and intermitted rewards. Cutting contact, no matter how, will force the brain to rewire and slowly deattach.

    If is is a limerent affair where the limerence is being reciprocated how is your partner suffering? Can you explain?

    • @vanitaramlochan6725
      @vanitaramlochan6725 Рік тому

      The obstacle is off course their partner but if they divorce their partner and leave their child to be with the LO are they still suffering?

      Some yes, some not. Some of us experience more episodes throughout life .
