Hi! When worked flat, no. But when working in the round, the easiest way to get rid of the leaning stitches is to work in joined rounds- sl st to the top loops of the first st, ch 1, then work waistcoat stitch around. But just a heads up, doing so does create a seam. Hope this helps!
