I don’t know why people feel the need to be so rude. Someone took the time and effort to make a video available to you for FREE and yet some people act so ungrateful. This video is great and the instructions are easy to follow. Thank you for making this for us all 💕
I've been trying to figure out how to get the knit look by crocheting forever! Thank you!!
I've tried knitting countless times before but never quite got the hang of it, so thank you so much for this
I knit (50 years) and crochet (55 years). I recently saw a blanket with this stitch but the lady wouldn’t tell me the name and she didn’t have a pattern. So I went searching. I basically could see the stitch but wanted to be certain . I finally found the right combination of words to suggest your tutorial. I’m happy to find you.
Yay! So happy you were able to find it and that it was helpful.
People are so strange. I don't know why women can't be more generous in situations like this. ❤
I had no problems seeing what you are doing. Great instructon. Clear and informative. Thank you!
Great to hear!
I love what you do, good instruction and all❣️ This particular stitch would make a nice hat too! The only thing would be it’s a little hard to see with the white yarn against a white background.
This is the first video on this stitch that I understood-thank you!
I'm so glad!
I am thinking next amigarumi project I am going to try this to give it a knitted look. Thank you for the video
Thank you so much for this very clear and informative video demonstration. I greatly appreciate your time and effort. ❤️
You are so welcome!
I’ve been on a crochet stitch learning kick - this one is really cool! I’m going to try it tonight. Thank you for the great video :)
You are so welcome!
Great instructions. Hope to see more videos. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Will do!
This is so simple and pretty ! Thanks so much for the tutorial !
So clear...thank you so much
Hi, Meghan. Love this easy tutorial, I can't wait to see more. Thank you.
Thanks so much! 😊
EXCELLENT VIDEO INSTRUCTION! Thank you so much! ❤️
Amei sua explicação parabéns
Thank you so much. I’m going to try it
Excellent! Thank you.
Very nice! Thank you
Thank you. Great instructions.
Thank you!❤
Thanks for sharing. God Bless
Thank you for the instruction
You're welcome! Thanks so much for watching.
I am going to try this. I have been crocheting for years and have never seen this stitch. I can knit but I don't enjoy it because I cannot fix my mistakes. Crochet mistakes are easy for me to fix because you only have one stitch open at a time.
I too appreciate the simplicity of fixing errors with crochet. Glad you liked the tutorial.
Grazie mille...è facilissimo
Thank you
I thought this was well presented and easy to learn. Thank you for this wonderful video!
You're very welcome!
Please do not use a white yarn with at white background.
It makes difficult to see what your doing.
can you only do this stitch in the round or can you make it into squares?
Love the video! I wish it was available at a higher resolution than 360p though, since its a little hard to see where you’re inserting the hook. Still was super helpful though!
Thank you, you explained everything so clearly.. I only like how the stitch looks in the round & not how in all videos I have seen that it is not as nice or the same when it is done with the flat crocheting.. so I tried something different & it works & looks exactly the same as when you do it in the continuous round .. you just have to finish off at the end of each row .. & start again at the beginning of the row ( a bit like when you change colours, you have loose ends on each side but they can be crocheted in when you do a border) that way you can use it for both ways when making a cardigan etc & the stitches are all exactly the same.
I agree that it looks the best in the round. That's a great idea for cutting off the yarn at the end of every row to get the same look.
Beautiful thank you for sharing 🥰😬👌
What should I do for a hole button on it? Many thanks
I am doing this on a sock pattern for the first time and my yarn is a darker color…. I need to practise first with a lighter color and thicker yarn. I can’t see the V’s. With practise I will get better. Thanks for the tutorial.
I rather knit. I try it and it is what you do, if you making a rug. THICK AND HEAVY.
As a long time knitter I would think all you would have to do is use a lighter weight yarn to get your drape. However it would be excellent for a real waistcoat
@@janefuller1737 I wrote that two years ago, I have different ideas know. I am flexible on trying things.
Do they use the same amount of knitting? Or more? Please answer me
Can one make a jersey with this stitch?
Is this also possible without joining the chain in the beginning? Like a flat layout for a project? Thanks :))
Yes you can! I've been meaning to make a tutorial for it. You'll have to place your hook in a slightly different spot when you turn so it will look slightly different then when it is worked in the round.
@@MeghanMakesDo I had the same question and would love to see a how to video!
Can you make a block with a waistcoat stitch? I’m wanting to make a sweater and love the knit look but only know how to crochet. Any advice would be amazing.
Yes you can! I'm hoping to get a tutorial up soon that shows how to work this stitch in rows. You'll insert your hook in a slightly different spot, but it is possible.
When doing this stitch do you always have to do it in the round or can you do it straight? And thank you so much for taking the time to do this for us
I'm wondering the same thing
You can do it straight and in rows by turning the work everytime you do a row which does not look as neat and the shape does not line up.....you can also cut the yarn every row which looks neat and lines up perfectly but you will have a lot of loose treads so it is best to work in round😁😁😁
DOES THIS CROCHET STITCH HAS TO BE WORKED ONLY IN ROUND ? CAN'T WE DO A FLAT WORK FROM THIS PATTERN ? THANK YOU FOR SHARING❤
Yes you can! I'm hoping to make a tutorial for working in flat rows for this stitch too. You'll just have to place your hook in a slightly different spot when working in rows.
So you can only do this in the round???
It can be done in rows too. I'll have a video tutorial coming early Jan.
Hi. This only works when you don't turn at the end of a stitch row. This only works when you work in a circle. So, there must be a better way
Hi! It is possible to do this stitch in turned rows. I'm hoping to get a tutorial up soon. It looks slightly different from when you work in the round, but it is possible.
You can cut the yarn every time you finish a row and it will look just like this but you can also turn the work it just gives a different effect
I’ve tried this but I think it’s slanting a bit. What am I doing wrong? It’s such a beautiful stitch
The stitch will slant a bit to the left due to the nature of the stitches. You can always block your piece when you are done and try to get the stitches to straighten up.
,👏👏👏👏
knitting has to much math in it so i decided chrochet is for me.
This is pattern for amigurumi toys
This would take forever on a garment.
I have a crocheted yolk and I think I'll just cast it on some knitting needles.
Thank you for the thorough tutorial though.
Why are you working in the round? What if I want to make a sweater? I think I'm lost. Anyone?
I find this stitch works up easiest in the round. I'm in the process of making another video showing it in rows, but it is slightly different than in the round. Stay tuned!
why does every tutorial only have a circle pattern
Can’t see white on white
Instruction fine, but I agree with others on how the video looks. White on white--I too have a hard time seeing the stitches. And this meant kindly, the lady's nail polish color was what I DID see quite clearly. An unnecessary distraction.
Oh I love that nail polish, and noticed it, but it didn’t distract me whatsoever-perhaps proof that each person’s visual experience is unique.
Why doing it in the round? The picture shows a flat, square project.
This stitch works best in the round. The photo is just an up close pic of the piece that was done in the round.
it sounds like a good tutorial, but the fact its in 360p, youre using white yarn on a white desk, and your hands are covering the most of the work I cant see a thing
Hmmm. White on white...not so good
Can you
Sorry, bit not useful at all. I got to see the instructions at the end of the video.
Too blurry
Blurry.
This is very unhelpful , all I'm saying
As is your comment.
