The Cure is dope as hell. Lullaby, Pictures of You, Friday I'm in Love and Just like Heaven all great songs.
And A Letter To Elise, Plainsong, One More Time, A Forest....so so so so many more great songs!!!
Yes, these plus Mint Car. 💕
The live version of "Lullaby" is the best!
“Just like heaven” was their most popular song, “Close to me” is a great song too
I love "Just Like Heaven". "Pictures of You" ranks really high on my favorite Cure songs, too.
I would say Lullaby is their most popular song, besides Friday I‘m in Love
This is a great Cure song. My favorite Cure song is “Charlotte Sometimes.” I’ve been a Cure fan since 1982 and they still give me goosebumps. I was so happy when they were inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame. It was so deserved!
Oh man, The Cure are definitely one of the best bands of the 80s, really unique sound and look, and Robert Smith has a great voice. Another banging choice - happy Friday ya'll, peace and love!
The CURE RULED THE 80's. More CURE please. 🤞
311 covers this song well. The Cure is amazing. Lullaby by the cure is one of my favorites
finally The Cure!! they live still as good as the old recordings, amazing.
Check out “Why Can’t I Be You” and “Pictures of You.”
I've been listening to The Cure since 1979 (when I was 9 years old) & have always liked and been fascinated by their style.
The group 311 did a wonderful Reggae-esque cover of this song
I love The Cure I’m seeing them live in December in London.they are so cool and their energy is hypnotic and bewitching live from what I’ve seen from their live videos.
My best friend is flying to London from here in Florida to see them also!! I'd much rather go to one concert than go see 50 movies. There's simply nothing like it & you can never get those moments back. No one has ever said, "I totally wasted my money seeing RUSH!" 🤣 Always go! I had Foo Fighters (my favorite) tickets for July. Taylor is now gone & my heart is broken. I missed seeing him by a few short months. ❤️🎵
I am from Denmark and I am a true Cure fan … taking my 14 year old daughter, who is also a fan, to her first Cure concert in Copenhagen, October 14.th 2022 !!! We are so exited… my first Cure concert was 1992 in Germany.. Wish tour. My absolute Favorite Cure song is Shake Dog Shake, live and loud.
"Lullaby" and "Pictures Of You" are two of The Cures better songs
Fascination Street.
Just Like Heaven is another The Cure great song 👍
Just like heaven should be your next Cure reaction!
Pictures of You is my favorite Cure song just perfect
Many fans forget Burn by the Cure. I love this as much as I like The Walk!
Great track featured in The Crow movie...👍👊😎
Your girl would probably like The Smith's song "How Soon Is Now"
311 covered this song perfectly
If you want to hear more of The Cure, your next reaction should be Just Like Heaven, probably their best song! Yes this is Goth Rock, which many consider to be a sub-genre of New Wave.
Cure "Just like Heaven" they went goth pop alternative - one of the few guys (he now looks like your Aunt Edna) whose voice is EXACTLY the same now live, as it was 40 years. Incredible staying power this band and frontman leader. They were inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of fame few years ago, deservedly so, since many bands decades later looked up to them as the pioneers.
A Forest by them is great.
Fascination Street
Desintegration
Plainsong
They got a lot of great songs
Lullaby, In Between Days, Boys dont cry, Shake Dog Shake Live Rock Hall of Fame is a banger, A Forest, Pictures of You. The Cure is my favorite Band forever!
It always hit me that they could take and write songs with the lyrics and the music sound really happy but then he would sing them in a way where he sounded sad
"Close to me" is a song by these guys that you'd way more enjoy. Upbeat but still sad, which is what this band does best.
Just Like Heaven is a great song and more upbeat. A Forest is a great song and darker and mysterious. The Cure is a great band because they are very talented musical artists, but they are unique too. They have a melancholy vibe.
It's hard to explain just what this band is to some of us. They're one of my favorite bands of ALL time, hands down. Absolutely love them, but I also grew up with them (I'm 41).
The Cure were big with the goth kids. Them and The Smiths.
This New Wave music is still my go back chill music.
Dig her BEATLES shirt. CURE - one of the first goth alternative bands - icons.
One of the greatest bands of all time . The Cure are such a vibe .
You guys listen to so much music! I love you’re listing to the Cure… I know this must hit different now. Great music from the 80’s.
Robert Smith wrote this song as a wedding present to his wife. I love the Cure. 🥰
The Cure has faster and harder songs that are great: please react to Hot Hot Hot, Friday I'm In Love, and Never Enough if you're in the mood for that.
But if you're in the mood for something creepy and weird, try Lullaby or A Forest by The Cure.
If you want more! This song is from the album disintegration. That's a album you should listen from start to finish. It's a masterpiece
The Cure.... Dark, depressing bright and happy at the same time.
Yeah the Cure were my High School mood music go to!!!! 😉❤✌
Just Like Heaven should be your next Cure song. Love this band along with another that was around at the same time, Oingo Boingo's - Dead Man's Party. Fun songs to dance to.
Their album Disintigration is a whole vibe
A forrest is one of there earlier songs and is really worth a reaction ❤
One of most beautiful songs from 80's with the gorgeous youtuber online (and I'm talking about her :-))
This song was covered by Adele and other artists but I think Adele was the most important...I suposse.
The Cure started in the late 70's and was a slap in the face for a moment in which Disco and dancing music was the popular move...I think it was similar as the impact from Grunge in the 90s starting the end of the pop 80's movement.
The Cure is important as a band for their influence in a lot of punk, goth and new wave bands and how they mark our lives for the 80's youngest people as me.
Regards from Chile!!!
Written for his soon to be wife and somehow made it on to the album. Was not intended for recording/release. The Cure can break your heart and will mend your soul.
The Cure has a large catalog of great songs. I believe he wrote most of his lyrics with his still to this day wife in mind. 311 Covers them pretty good.
The Cure are their own sound. Plenty of great songs. Boys don't Cry is a good one, as is Close to Me. Adele covered this one.
This is one band i never got in too back in the day but i will say they did impress me live. A friend had an extra ticket too a show of theirs in Montreal probably 25 years ago or so. Thats 2 hours from my place so a short road trip sounds good. Well got too the show and every one looked like The Cure lol and they knew every word too every song. Hard core fan base for sure. The band them selves where true pros. Great sound great show in general was impressed. Still not a Cure fan but i give them my respect. Peace
Oh the cure... Everytime I hear Robert Smith I can smell the mascara. Man those were the days
The Cure- Six Different Ways or Close to Me will both give you different feels...
Lovesong! & you can't get the groove & start arguing? LISTEN TO THE SONG! More os not more ,this is it & it's perfect 👌
Tune The Cure fantastic band who lasted decades. !!
The Cure are all sorts of music. Been going for years and have some really good songs.
The best of the Cure is their live shows. Fascination Street Live, especially from a 90s era live show.
You should have a lot more views for this. The cure is outstanding
U gotta check out the early stuff. A forest is my favourite song but u got, close to me, love cats, boys don't cry, lullaby and the list goes on.
This is my favorite Cure song.
Yes it’s very different. In FACT. “Alternative Music” genre was not defined in the 80s. They had to create it by the 90s
I was on acid the first time I saw this back in the day. Good times!
Had the vinyl. This was covered by a few other bands in the late 90s and early 2000s
Robert Smith the alien we never knew we needed and if you don’t understand check out Southpark. Robert Smith was and still is an amazing artist and vocalist. They don’t make them like him anymore. I love this one, Boys Don’t Cry, Just Like Heaven, Lullaby, Close to Me. The Cure can cure what ails you.
Robert Smith wrote this for his fiance as a wedding present ❤ my husband and I also had this as our wedding song
Do fascination street 🖤🖤🖤
I was a college freshman in '89, it's hard to explain just how huge Disintegration was. That album was such a big part of the soundtrack of my late teens...it somehow made you feel more introspective, more emotive, while still more joyous...it's one of the very few from that era that is aging really well.
Disintegration was a hell of an album. Robert Smith was very popular with the goth ladies.
311 covered this song which was on the movie 50 first dates.
But my favorite cover was done by Snake River Conspiracy.
please do more of the cure songs 🙏
In between the days
A night like this
Let's go to bed
Just like heaven
Lullaby
Fascination street
Friday im inlove
A letter to elise
The Cure have been my favorite band for 36 yrs, I have seen them live 18 times. The singer Robert Smith wrote this for his wife Mary. They have many great songs, maybe check out Just Like Heaven, Disintegration and Why Can't I Be You.
Back then I initially didn't like their music but came to really like them. Unusual for sure but I think they embody a certain mood or vibe in the 80's. They are so distinctive and original that you will always know it's them. Sometimes you have to listen to more of a group's songs to appreciate them I think.
Love this song so much. I was 12 in 1989 when it was released. I remember listening to it on tape on my "Walkman." You are probably too young to know what that is. LOL.
Robert smith is a genius love the cure they are touring and sold out good luck if your trying to get tickets 😊
This band is amazing! check more out!
The Cure is the only Goth-Rock band that I really like. I'm sure you have heard Friday I'm In Love and Just Like Heaven. They have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. You should check out that performance also. I like the live performances, like at PinkPop; huge crowd. They also had a song in the movie The Crow with Brandon Lee called Burn. It's the scene when Brandon comes back to life and is in his loft looking in the mirror putting the clown makeup on. Really good song. Also, Lullaby, A Forest and Wrong Number are pretty good songs also.
Cool, highly creative band contrasting mopey moods with upbeat, playful or exhilirating arrangements. Oversimplification, but...sorta, y'know? Saw 'em in Toronto, July, '86, it poured during the opening set by Natalie Merchant and 10,000 Maniacs. There were all these dejected, half-drowned and bedraggled kids(I was 2 months from 30), their big spiky Robert Smith homage hairdos hanging over their faces, wandering around, asking for spare hairspray. Robert came out with a near buzzcut. lmfao. Great sounding show anyway. The ex had been a huge fan for years, she was 24 then. Dig in, they're worth the dive. 'Friday, I'm In Love'.
Robert Smith wrote this for his wife. They have been together since he was 14, and are still together today
One of those bands that draws you in
Friday I'm in love 💕!! My fave!
Cool song. Great sound. Unique. Doesn’t sound like many other things. Love the difference
This is classic "Goth" music, guys ;)
Pictures of You, Just Like Heaven & Friday I’m in Love.
I think Just Like Heaven Live at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame is dope. It's probably the most perfect pop song ever composed. Just Like Heaven in general. But hearing them perform that live at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, a place they never thought they would be was dope. Also, Pictures of You and The Forest are dope.
If you like this vibe though I think Ashes to Ashes by David Bowie is a whole fucking ass mood. That's gothic pop.
311 also did a real good cover of this song. That's what got a lot of us 90s kids into The Cure.
The Cure ....."Burn" ( Live from Glastonbury )
One of my favorite bands growing up and currently still. Boys Don’t Cry is a little harder than this as well as 10:15 Saturday Night.
A Forest, Close to Me, Why Can’t I Be You and Inbetween Days are also my top songs from them.
Disobedience movie got me the song. Such a great song ❤️
Loved this song since early childhood
First Cure song, first argument. Welcome to the club 😂
Pictures of You and A letter to Elise should be your next songs to check out...
Check their song 'A Forest', one of the most iconic songs of the 80ies
This album is a classic
Hopefully you all go deep into their catalog. I think you'd like "Charlotte Sometimes"
This is legit 80s.
311's cover of this is amazing
gotta do "boys dont cry" its a classic must listen by the Cure
Good job getting The Cure in there. They have so many great songs.
if you want heavier songs by then (although most their music is quite slow) then Disintegration, At Night, A Forest and a Hundred Years would be good. also their newer stuff such as alt.end and labyrinth go under the radar quite a lot!
Adele covered this song in her 21 album.
Just like Heaven
Nice reaction guys👍. Check out their song Friday I'm In Love.
they are still going in 2022 ;)
While this was a hit, it's not one of The Cure's better tracks. Fortunately they have MANY better songs. Any of the suggestions you will get will be good (except Lullaby), but I have always loved the off kilter funk-jazz-wtf of "Love Cats"
One of my favorite bands...college years, sooo cool; on my playlist
Let your girl have her own opinion homes
Time for some Psychedelic Furs, Joe Jackson and Howard Jones….
The Cult - Fire Woman
The Cure is an amazing band. You should consider listening to the entire Disintegration album from start to finish without interruption. It is incredibly good but perhaps the most depressing music I have ever listened to - over and over again.
Brilliant band
